Ive had my 2019 si for 1yr and 4 months.. this has been a great car impressed me time n time again , i kust put in the prl intercooler with charge pipes and i have prlintake race maf and 3 inch catless dp with ktuner v2 and tsp tune and ive beat every 300hp car ive raced

Nice man! I have to get the car tuned. I'm just a little concerned with the clutch and temps with the stock intercooler. It seems like the Phearable is the way to go

You said it best when you described the differences between generations. There's not a huge difference in straight line speeds between them in stock form. The torque is much better in the 10thgen though. You can tell right away. With a simple tune the 1.5T pushes out double the torque of an 8thgen. Which is significant. They say tq wins races and you have a lot of kills in the 10thgen to prove it!
The improvements they made to the 2020 are worth it. I missed the press release by about 2 weeks and had to settle for a 19 with pair of OEM LEDs. Which has a few subtle differences to the 17-18. Anyway thanks for sharing and keep up the great content!

I kinda think it was a bad choice to get the other civic. You should have just kept the money and put it into this build or put it toward a home. I don't think anyone expects you to own multiple cars like other RUclipsrs. You'll get to that point when the time is right. Keep up the good work.
41k miles 17 si, she gets driven brother, STOCK CLUTCH, buttttt she’s pretty much done tho. In a few weeks she’s getting stage 3 clutch, lw single mass flywheel, and an upgraded master cylinder. Probably gunna put on all the go fast stuff too
I have a 2017 Si bought it with 6 miles and have absolutely 0 oil dilution issues. I live in MA and it idles probably more than it should. Still 0 problems. Never even smelled gas.
I have a 2020 honda crv and 2019 civic si and they definitely do still have Slight oil dilution issues but not as bad as they used to have. I just do oil changes at 3500-4000 rather then 5000 like honda recommends

TSP stage 2 is where it's at! Been running for over 30K miles, still stock clutch
My 2020 si sedan is having the clutch slip horribly and all I have is tune, intake, exhaust. About to get the retro fit type r clutch! Still a great car tho, I love it!

I did replace the honeycomb front garnishes with the 2020 versions. Straight up swap. Easy peasy....

About the clutch... my 2020 has 30k miles i beat on it alot and its still holding. Idk whats up with everyone lol might be 2020 only.

Dude nice shirt...! Imo the clutch problem is made up because not everyone knows how to shift properly and warm up the clutch in the morning.

Hey Cameron, I think I may be on the fence between an ND2 Miata or waiting on the new 2022 BRZ for the stuff you mentioned. I’d want to avoid buying the very first year of a new car model (such as avoiding a 2016 Miata because of transmission issues/avoid a 2013 Scion FR-S/BRZ accordingly for their issues (Yes, I know there are plenty of reliable ‘13 FR-S/BRZ for folks who mention so on forums, etc.). The 2019 ND2 Miata is a refined upgrade with more power. Thoughts on this “rule of thumb” & has this crossed your mind about what your next car will be ultimately? Thanks dude
So, with the second Gen BRZ situation.. I have wanted a BRZ ever since they came out when I was a Senior in high school. I am completely sold on the 2nd Gen and will be buying one immediately upon its release. Reason for that is, thats why my channel worked in the first place - I bought a car that was/is relevant. The 2020 Si had a lot of updates and made it a topic of interest in late 2019, which made the RUclips videos work. If I want to keep my channel building at the quickest rate possible so that I can hopefully get to the point of doing this full time, I have to stay current with the times. Regardless of the problems the 2nd Gen will have at launch, I will still be buying it. If anything, the problems it will face will just be more content

I had an 8thgen. I sold it thinking I would get a type r but then the pandemic happened. So I was gunna dial it down to a 10gen si. I heard they have ac problems so I was waiting a little to see if anyone experiences them for the 2020 models
As a new 10th gen owner and my first time driving manual I had multiple times were I accidentally redlined my car in first gear during the break in period does this affect my car long term?

I’m so worried about reliability...as a reliability engineer I bang the shit out my 17si and I drive aggressively. So I don’t want to do anything to wild, so I’ve been hesitant on a ktuner for months now......but I’m going to take the plunge , intake and tuner only

Been waiting on my muffler delete injen exhaust for a month, parts manufacturers are having a hard time keeping up with everyone modding their cars out of bordom due to covid...
A bit of a drop on springs or coils and nicer wheels/tires would make you like it even more

Had a 2018 wrx, get an AP to get rid of the Rev hang when shifting to 2nd gear, you will lose bottom end torque though. I now have a 2020 civic Si, the civic is a good daily. Both cars are fun to drive. If I were you though and lived where it snows I’d get the wrx.
I also love in new england. I have a 8th gen si and is great in the snow with winter tires. Never got stuck anywhere. Nothing against wrx's its just a matter of opinion.

They’re both great, but the Accord has for greater tuning potential and aftermarket support
Definitly the accord, has the same engine as the type r just slightly detuned

@@Camhill182 oh I upgraded months ago , I have the competition stage 2 full disc, I’m on rv6 beta turbo and e-85 I had to upgrade because I’m sure my clutch would been obliterated on the first pull

Oil dilution is still a problem with the 1.5, my 2019 si had a strong gas smell. Glad I sold that car

I’d get a turbo kit for a 9th gen on stock motor and conservative tune. Make double power what a 10th gen makes with $4k in mods
Negative. Youll also have to upgrade the clutch, motor mounts, injectors, fuel pump, etc. the cost will be far greater than $5k
