My deepest condolences on your loss. It is never easy to say goodbye to someone you are close to, and you never "get over" it, but eventually you do get through it. Stay well my friend, and know that all of us Crafsfans love you.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss in your family, Crafsman. Thank you for all you do, all of which is always worth the wait. Take your time, and we'll be here, hangin' with you.
Sorry to hear about your families recent loss. Just wanted to say, speaking from first hand experience with my first compressor tank rupturing due to rusting from the moisture all while I was rocking away on a bench grinder when it blew a few feet away....that is an excellent safety tip. And on that I think is commonly overlooked!
I was sketching today at my favorite tacospot with a pocket-naut standing watch on the table. Nice to have someone watchin' my back while I'm focusing on my sketchbook
Grounds team at my last job couldn't figure out why their compressor was running so often and took so long to top up tires... something like 20 gallons of rusty water blasted out the bottom vent when me and the other facilities guy on shift took a look. Then we checked the sight glass for oil... guess what we found? Not oil, that's for sure.
Consumer type compressor tanks should have a date of manufacture stamped on them. Even if you drain them after every use there is a point where they are meant to be disposed.
I'm so sorry for y'all's loss. You have one of the best channels in RUclips, it's like Martha Stewart or Carol Duval meets Bob Ross. It's just fun and I'm glad you make videos.
I'm sorry about your loss. I usually drain my compressor, but not often enough. I saw your video last night and set a reminder for today. It has now been drained. 👍🏼
Sorry to hear about the death in the family. My thoughts and heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you for the tip and always value your videos and the love you put into them. Thanks for the video
When the paper towel blasted away when you opened the valve i busted out laughing I'm sorry. I admire your optimism but I always roll mine outside when I drain it and surrender to the mess it's about to make.
So sorry for your loss, and you shouldn't worry about "making excuses." Life happens, and each of us who follow you, each who supports you, wants yours to be happy and fulfilling. You deserve it, and you deserve to grieve.
I’m very sorry for your loss. You and the Crafsfamily are in my prayers. Thank you for taking the time to showcase this and the great stuff you’re working on! I was planning on getting an air compressor soon - I’ll be sure to not blow up thanks to you!
I have leave the main tank valve open when im not using my compressor, that way condensation can always flow out of the tank. I believe that most/all newer compressors recommend this in their instruction manuals also.
Sorry for your loss. oxox Great safety tip. I'd add to that to leave the drain valve open so as to get the tank a chance to dry out as much as possible. I prefer to open the drain at a higher pressure to get as much moist air to blast out as possible.
Sorry for your family's loss. Mixed emotions for sure that day. Your shop gets that way during a video shoot? Who has been in my garage for the last 5 years? There must be miles of footage by now! 😢😅
This is so important! Thank you for spreading the word. My brother met a man at an oral surgeon’s office, who had lost a good portion of the side of his face from a compressor that rusted through from the inside out. The compressor apparently still looked like brand new from the outside.
Dear Crafsman and family, Im sorry for your loss in your family, sir hope the things only go up from here. Also i noticed your voice sound slightly different it sounds better. Also also being creative is a good way to let your emotions out but don't overwork since you only push your emotions to future you to deal with. So long you have a good balance between the two it helps to deal with the harder emotions. Best of luck to you crafsman and too your family. Sincerly, A internet stranger.
Dang, sorry to hear about that, I'm not terribly good with condolences but please let us know if you guys need help with anything. It's easier to say things with actions than words, you know? Ah, there's also moisture traps you can use in-line to further aid with compressor tank longevity and safety.
Thank you for making this! (edit) so I jumped in quick with the “Thank You”, thinking the loss was a compressor. Genuinely sorry to hear if it was a craftsperson, or any other person.
never buy an oil-less compressor if you need it to last and if it quits oil type reed vales are cheap and motor start capacitor are cheap to i got a 20 year old cheapo from biglots back wen they sold tools still works well loads of hours on it
Sorry to hear about your loss, sir. Praying for you and your family. Thank you for the compressor safety! God bless.

Excellent idea. Maybe a "Good morning / Good night workshop" book ?! I want it all 😂 !
I didn't know that about letting the air out of your air compressor when not in use. Thank you very much for the safety tip!
This looks awesome! Great teaser and important safety information
When the paper towel blasted away when you opened the valve i busted out laughing I'm sorry. I admire your optimism but I always roll mine outside when I drain it and surrender to the mess it's about to make.
Also I'm gunna go drain mine right now, it's been a while, thanks for the reminder.
Mine’s at the very bottom, so I sit it on a rag. A lot quieter and keeps from blowing up floor dust.
So sorry for your loss, and you shouldn't worry about "making excuses." Life happens, and each of us who follow you, each who supports you, wants yours to be happy and fulfilling. You deserve it, and you deserve to grieve.

I think most air brushes suggest those "air traps" as well.

That’s why we prefer aluminum tanks over steel. No risk of rust.
