Maybe... But not all people that want, could, deserve end up having a family in real life for many reasons. People change and their values change. Young Eric and older Eric have different values but are both good people.
@@hannabobo4187 I think it's more that Cory and Topanga's family was never really in doubt. Everytime Eric got close, he had to sacrifice it for the other person's benefit or vice-versa. I agree 100 percent. Seasons 1 and 2 they just made hun suave older brother. And then seasons 3 to 6 he was still a ladies man getting ladies. He was just a little goofy at times. And season 3 and 4 he was focused on getting into college. And season 4 he dated a girl with a kid. Season 5 he was adjusting to college life. Season 6 he had his heart broken by losing Rachel to jack and he couldn’t adopt Tommy, how is he in season 7 he sneezes lottery numbers gets mad he was never breast fed wanted to kill and marry topanga followed Cory and topanga on their honeymoon and burned his brothers room and parents room without a care in the world. Seasons 3 to 6 just made him a little goofy but season 7 they wanted him to act like a 8 year old. But my version I edit things to make him seem more normal how he was before.
@@randallreiter9679yeah but for a character development he has an wonderful development all the way to season 6 but season 7 his character was ruined. I like his character from season 3 to 6 but 1 and 2 he wasn’t funny.
It's crazy, looking back at this show recently the boy meets world title really belonged to Eric. He really went through being manipulated, feeling like no one believes in him so he never believes in himself. He's probably the best character on the show. Most of the time we get in our own way and sadly some of us never grow out of that.
Eric was one of the best characters of all time. He had some stupid moments that were just unnecessary but overall, he was a relatable character who did teach us things.
I love the episode when Eric dates the woman with a child. The woman liked Eric so much that she wanted him to live his life before taking on the responsibilities of raising a child.
@@antithoughtpolice7497 Yall so full of shit. Single mothers do not feel entitled to single men. Its literally the other way around. Men with children will literally say they don't date single mothers. Another example of people blaming women while excusing men and their shitty behavior... Urban areas? You mean those same urban areas where the women is most likely with the car house and stable life while they man is a live in boyfriends. Those urban area? It's no such thing as urban areas...
It's actually such an insult to people with kids. The message here is your life hits a wall when having a child. You cannot do anything else with a child. Tell that to my wife and me who both finished our masters degree and furthered our lives while having children. Sure, it was tough, but not impossible.
I know having kids isn't for everyone, (not for me lol) but it's kind of a shame a guy who is so good with kids and bonds so easily with them like Eric never had any of his own
The security guy episode really hits close to home. Currently I'm working as a security officer and have been doing it for 7 years of my life. When Feeny tells Eric he's somebody who gives up to easily or takes the easy way out that really felt me. I've been told that and have had my job looked down upon by lots of people and family members but maybe it's time for a change in my life also
I feel this, dude. I was always looked down on because I chose not to go to college and serve my country instead. I got into a good trade during my time in service that I applied myself to that profession, diesel technology, since my discharge. And I was STILL looked down on because of my career. I just one day said "Fuck everyone" and busted my ass until I became a 20% partner in a locally owned trucking company. You got this, chief.
I grew up with Boy Meets World. The show helped me get through so much. I felt so connected with Cory growing up. However, as an adult in my 30's and watching the show again. I have learned that I am more like Eric than any other character in this show. Thank you for the lessons and wonderful memories.
Eric was the most capable of the Bmw group besides Topanga. He may not be the most educated but he certainly was the most capable, having multiple jobs, always trying to become better and when he finally gets into college he becomes probably the wisest of the cast because he understands what truly matters in life is the ones you love and i think that is why his character changes into a goofball because he finally gets it, that no matter what challenges come your way who you are to the people that love you is what defines you. Being there for the people that need you to be the person you are, just like his dad was there for him always believing he could do anything he wanted and when he finally gets it and tells his dad that he'll tell his kids what his dad taught him is when Eric realized he is exactly who he wants to be. a great big brother and a really great son and a cool person to be friends with. Eric becoming a senator who wants to change the world for the better makes a lot of sense, he's always been helping and guiding others ultimately defining who he is as a person, even when he thought he wasnt good enough, the people who loved him always seen who he truly is, a good boy trying to do good.
I always hated the fact that they made Eric more of a comic relief, in a sense that is, like 70-80% of the time after he graduated High School. Especially in the later seasons in College/Adulthood. Miss shows like this that taught us real lessons.
17:02 this scene is literally like reality and I'm in tears after watched this episode especially this scene. Thank you for sharing with us all scenes with this ❤. Would like to see more from BMW Weekly ❤.
When I watch it now my headcannon is that he’s like Michael Scott during the college years. He recognizes everyone else is going through something and his choice is to pretend to play stupid and maybe he can make them feel better.
I’m stuck watching a never ending Boy Meets World character arc playlist. Just sucking the emotions out of me. Shawn Hunters video almost made me cry in the park. Like wtf. They hacked my emotions
Man, just watching this video makes you appreciate Eric even more and realize how severely they mismanaged his character in the later seasons. Also, being someone who grew up in the 90s, I really miss Boy Meets World.
I had a teacher like Mr Feeny in 3rd grade I remember the motivational speech she gave me in class one day she told me I never want to hear you say "I CAN'T" because guess what Scotty even though it might take you longer then the other students to get it done no matter what it gets done".
The years before college, he would have made such a great father. And when he got into college, he was on the path to become possibly the greatest uncle ever. Edit; Compare his dream jobs, to what he ends up as. And how he got that position. 😂
&&& he would have made a great father to that little boy but unfortunately that wasn't inn his pathway but overall that was a great skit on how some guys actually will step up and be a step-dad and take that father role responsibilities. . .
By the end of the series I could believe that Eric could and would become a senator in GMW. He's not the brightest bulb, but he has a good heart and knows what the right thing to do is. He's very wise even if he isn't all that smart.
Eric was the best character in the series. Growing up, I always thought my life would be Cory, as we all do, main character syndrome and all. But my life has actually paralleled Eric's eerily closely. Probably why I think the way I do about his character, but it's also bc it's real. Sometimes life doesn't go the way you expect, sometimes it never does. That's Eric Matthews.
The one about Kelly and Eric really got me , I’ve dated someone before my current gf who had 3 boys none of which where mine by blood but I’ll be damned if I didn’t grow to care about them immensely. The relationship didn’t work for her in the long term and what hurt the most is feeling like I had lost 4 parts of my heart not just 1. You always have to be super careful going into any relationship where that new partner has kids because if you lose it you’re loosing so sooo much more than a gf/bf you’re loosing a family.. I don’t regret it for a minute now tho , that was life experience that has now helped shape me into the man I want to be and into a better parental figure as my current gf of going on 2 years has a child too and we’re talking about a life long commitment which makes me the happiest I’ve ever felt and I finally feel like I’m getting what life prepared me for all those years ago but this time it’s forever ❤
This show got me a through My Childhood and Early part of my 20s ...the show was already encore.... but i latched on to the emotional ride it provided during many real life lessons I went through. 💯 ❤
Or should of been involved in an organization that helps out orphans, whether it's finding them families or helping them with loneliness before that. I like that he's mayor of place, but I figured he would of been involved in something like that
Its stuff like at 15:30 why I loved this show. THAT is realism in relationships. When one KNOWS that the other is just mailing sh1t in and wants to terminate things because its the right thing to do. Damn. We'll NEVER see ANY kind of dialogue like that again.

Eric has more heart and kindness then any bodies else in the show. He deserves a happy ending. Erick and Shawn deserves way more then what they got in "Girl meet world " by the way I refuse to knowledge that series .
Listen to the podcast Pod meets world, each episode is hosted by the actors who play eric, shawn and Topanga. Its a great listen, they go through each episode, interview cast members and give you behind the scenes info. Its crazy the things they were going through making the show, it doesn't even change or diminish the love for the show at all, it makes it better.
Two scenes to me are Eric trying to protect Cory when he catches Shawn kissing Topanga. Another is Jack losing his dad & Eric throwing a party but offering to go to the cemetery with Jack. Also Eric explaining to Corey about sex & the training wheels. Really one of the top 20 best television characters is Eric Matthews. 😊

The fact that he told a stranger to “re evaluate” their life, after admitting to doing nothing with his own was RICH!
they don't make shows like this anymore. i wish they did. this was a amazing show
Every time they do the show gets canceled.
Reality tv is cheaper/easier to make
@@miamitten1123 i can't stand reality shows to much drama bs fighting etc. i'd rather watch a sitcom like boy meets world family matters etc.

Eric will always be my favorite character. ♥ Not just because he's very funny but especially because of his serious moments. He's the most relatable of all the BMW characters to me. I give up very easily when something seems difficult to reach. Eric's development helps me realize that it's not about my disability but about fear and laziness. Thank you for making this video, it's amazing.
Nice!!! What about Shawn?!
@@sosunawoldeyesus9849 I like all the characters and Shawn's development is elaborate but his experience and personality aren't as close to mine as Eric's. But yeah, Shawn is awesome.

One of the best underrated shows ever. Hands down. No nostalgia no bull just pure entertainment, enjoyment, knowledge, comedy, characters, age groups, everything. Any generation can watch it and actually "watch it" which is hard for people Nowadays can learn something from this show.
@Nobody Special515 because weirdos desperately need to feel special so everything they like is "under rated" or "cult" because they're so quirky and could never like what everyone likes
If you think about it, this show in later seasons wasn’t about just Corey. It was about Corey, Shawn, and Eric. They were all trying to figure out the world and figure out life. Just from different perspectives. Which is where “BOY meets world” comes into play.
whats there to think about? just watch the show, its not that deep

With Eric yes it's pretty realistic he's loosing his mind each season cause how hard life can be
Eric was hands down the most impactful character in my opinion. His moments stuck with me while the rest of the show blurred through the years.
"I'm trying to quit!" that line was so perfectly set up it kills me every time.
I loved this show as a kid. But now that I'm much, much older I cam appreciate these scenes so much more

The whole kelley and Eric story was heartbreaking. I really wish she would of returned in girl meets world. Eric had everything going for it
when eric said "i'm not going anywhere." I cried waterfalls
My only response to that is I'm not going anywhere either.
The final season did so much damage to Eric as a character that it almost makes you forget one of the most important character arcs a character on a sitcom has ever gone through in seasons 1-5
I cant remember the final season besides them all moving or so in the last episode.
@@randallreiter9679yeah I agree! But season 3-6 Eric was fantastic in my book! Season 7 is when his character went downhill

This show was so great at teaching morals, life, and how to be a genuine human being.
I love the episode when Eric dates the woman with a child. The woman liked Eric so much that she wanted him to live his life before taking on the responsibilities of raising a child.
What's weird is today single moms feel entitled to single men, at least in urban areas. Where did the lesson go?
@@antithoughtpolice7497 No lies detected
@@antithoughtpolice7497 Yall so full of shit. Single mothers do not feel entitled to single men. Its literally the other way around. Men with children will literally say they don't date single mothers. Another example of people blaming women while excusing men and their shitty behavior... Urban areas? You mean those same urban areas where the women is most likely with the car house and stable life while they man is a live in boyfriends. Those urban area? It's no such thing as urban areas...
@@antithoughtpolice7497 the sad truth....
It's actually such an insult to people with kids. The message here is your life hits a wall when having a child. You cannot do anything else with a child. Tell that to my wife and me who both finished our masters degree and furthered our lives while having children. Sure, it was tough, but not impossible.
Eric letting go of Tommy is one of the saddest moment ever 😭
I know having kids isn't for everyone, (not for me lol) but it's kind of a shame a guy who is so good with kids and bonds so easily with them like Eric never had any of his own
The security guy episode really hits close to home. Currently I'm working as a security officer and have been doing it for 7 years of my life. When Feeny tells Eric he's somebody who gives up to easily or takes the easy way out that really felt me. I've been told that and have had my job looked down upon by lots of people and family members but maybe it's time for a change in my life also
Never too late.
God bless you and your journey
There's nothing wrong with that job. But if you feel it's time to move on, do what you feel is best.
The same goes for me. Good luck to you.
I always felt bad for Eric. It always felt like he wanted to be accepted or to have respect, but never could get any.
Love Eric. Not only good looking and that's just a bonus, but he's funny, smart, everything. What a guy❤
U r totally bodacious
If all teachers cared about their students as much as Mr. Feeny the world would be a better place.
I always hated the fact that they made Eric more of a comic relief, in a sense that is, like 70-80% of the time after he graduated High School. Especially in the later seasons in College/Adulthood. Miss shows like this that taught us real lessons.
Yeah especially the final season
It's 2023 and I still miss this show like crazy!!!!! I will always Love this show!!!!
I was all for girl meets world. Wish they would just have kept that going
17:02 this scene is literally like reality and I'm in tears after watched this episode especially this scene. Thank you for sharing with us all scenes with this ❤. Would like to see more from BMW Weekly ❤.
I always thought it was a shame he never got his own spinoff show. A great character who's actor did a really great job of portraying him.
I don’t think he was lead material. Same as Joey Tribbiani… would have failed. Eric became too dumb and stupid…
When I watch it now my headcannon is that he’s like Michael Scott during the college years.
He recognizes everyone else is going through something and his choice is to pretend to play stupid and maybe he can make them feel better.
The adoption episode is one of the best episodes and some of the best acting I’ve seen xx
I’m stuck watching a never ending Boy Meets World character arc playlist. Just sucking the emotions out of me. Shawn Hunters video almost made me cry in the park. Like wtf. They hacked my emotions
Their are a lot of great life lessons from that tv show, and it’s sad sometimes kids today don’t see that.
Éric was the most loyal guy in the entire show. Never did he not consider the children of the women he dated as not being a part of it. Also Tommy
Man, just watching this video makes you appreciate Eric even more and realize how severely they mismanaged his character in the later seasons. Also, being someone who grew up in the 90s, I really miss Boy Meets World.
Eric was one of my favorite characters. He was a great big brother, funny, proved he was meant to be a dad. He reminded me of my older brother.
This show was a pivotal part of my childhood.
All time classic.
Eric was the best character on the show before they made him stupid. Those cheap laughs were never worth losing the younger version of Eric.
Did they make him stupid? I honestly cant remember if he was like that from the start
@@Robd07yes they made him seem like he was brain damaged in the last season.
Eric was so underrated in the whole thing he definitely deserved more and became a better man than Cory!
&&& he would have made a great father to that little boy but unfortunately that wasn't inn his pathway but overall that was a great skit on how some guys actually will step up and be a step-dad and take that father role responsibilities. . .
Eric is the most relatable character in the show. He was my personal favorite character.
That whole segment for Eric at 13:58, if communication was this easy, the whole world could be loved.
Eric letting go of Tommy will never not make me sob
Always been my favorite character on the show and in general!

&&& this is so deep and speak so many volumes on everyday struggles for people . . .thanks for this upload 😇
I love Feeny's facial expressions when Eric is doing his lecture in front of the class. I'm a mentor leader for youth and I can relate to him.
Kelly and Eric remind me of me and my husband. I met him when my son was 2 he’s 18 now and that’s his dad.
Oh this didn’t age well that gf broke up with me too lmaoo, well everything I said is still true hurts way more when you’re loosing more than 1 person
They should’ve left Eric like he was in the earlier seasons and add the craziness to it lol book smart but not too bright 😂😂 that would’ve been great
He has wisdom and understanding but also very loopy. Thats why he’s s senator, bc ppl trusted their problems with him❤️

Eric really should have been a dad.
Or should of been involved in an organization that helps out orphans, whether it's finding them families or helping them with loneliness before that. I like that he's mayor of place, but I figured he would of been involved in something like that
11:01 "Too late to change who I am" Someone should've told him that he would become one of the best voice actors out there [Batman Beyond, forever!!!]
This video compilation of Eric single handedly proves why Girl Meets World couldn't hold a candle to BMW
Girl meets world is a joke
I don't know why they changed Eric's character so much. I liked his early years.
My god, I forgot how real this show got. I even teared up over Eric giving up Tommy. 😢
@Aceofspades320 That was genuinely the best surprise.
Its stuff like at 15:30 why I loved this show. THAT is realism in relationships. When one KNOWS that the other is just mailing sh1t in and wants to terminate things because its the right thing to do. Damn. We'll NEVER see ANY kind of dialogue like that again.
We can never have moments like these nowadays I feel like it’s important to establish these moments
The show really should have been about Eric at its core. He had the most interesting story arcs and character growth
These moments is why Eric is my favorite on the show
The way Feeny stood up for Eric when the lady said she doesn't think Eric is the student type.
You know, all I can say is, Eric is lucky to have a father like Allan 💔
If there was any doubt on howgreat BMW was, these clips will definitely remind us.
It was and still is beloved, positive, encouraging, and a great social conduct influence, instilling faith, trust, courage, hope, and more.
Too bad it has nothing on Girl Meets World
Alan Matthews deserves to be in the top 5 TV dads!
Whenever Eric had a sad moment I would get sad cause I was so used to him being the happy goofy person he is 😭
sometimes even us goofballs have to be serious

Eric was actually pretty smart in the beginning of the series. I hated that they dumbed him down so much. I loved his character but it still runs me the wrong way

Eric has more heart and kindness then any bodies else in the show. He deserves a happy ending. Erick and Shawn deserves way more then what they got in "Girl meet world " by the way I refuse to knowledge that series .
My sons name is Phoenix, and one of his nicknames is Pheeny. So when we are outside and I want his attention i yell, "Pheeny, PheeeEeeEeEeeeenaay!"

I miss these types of shows. Family matters, boy meets world, step by step, fresh prince, parent hood, and etc. glad I grew up in the 90s
Eric was a great character, and watching the scenes with Tommy hits hard
Tommy: “I don’t like you anymore.”
Eric: “I’m sorry to hear that Tommy.”
man I swear to god the older I get the more I relate to Eric
Eric may have been goofy, but he had feelings too.
Eric had the best storylines in the earlier seasons, I can relate to the dude so much.
