I preferred Joey in the early seasons, when he had some ditzy moments, but was still capable. By Season 10, he'd become so unbelievably dumb, though arguably, he was funnier.
Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's really hard to watch (like those french casting test at the end of that episode)... though that mipupu oopla jokes still makes me laugh. And yes, I know Matt speaks french fluently
I mean, he did have his big brain moments in the later seasons, but I agree.

Ross have sense of humor with sophistication. Chandler is mellow but sarcastic. What makes Joey is his charm of unpredictability & naivety and brilliant presence of mind. He doesn't have a concept of when & why, which gets him into trouble often, also makes him into a character of many colorful experiences & adventures. Miss his brotherly bond with Chandler, acting chops & his childish & perverted acts. That's Joey. Happy Birthday for the 25th Matt & thanks for the lovely moments. The friends team.
