    I have been watching and learning from your videos since November. I now have over 100 designs on teepublic. Thank you. Going to start to learn how to use affinity designer from u next. Its all pretty foreign and frustrating 😬until it clicks. 💛

    Hey Juno, I have tried importing SVG files into Affinity Designer and when I do, they're in a single layer. One RUclipsr did a video on this.... saying select image, click on "Edit Document" on toolbar ( as well as a few other steps). I am not seeing that "edit document" option in order to release file into individual layers. I have also seen several other users having the same issue. How do you do this so you can edit SVG files in Affinity Designer?

      @DetourShirts  Год назад

      Some SVG could be like that I guess... the SVG I had in this vide had layers... just check the layers palette and open the group if they are grouped.

    I am already confident I knew the differences but I watched anyway because you might have known something I didn't. :) For me I mostly stick to PNG and SVG files unless I am working with my photos that I sell as prints but even then I usually end up saving the edited file as a png just because that is the default in all my graphics programs.
    I also save at times as a psd or psp so I can have an editable layered file for later if I think I may do a spin off design with something I am working on. Those help especially for text designs as it saves the font information and I can easily edit to change the text to something else later. - Heidi

    Thanks for another great video, Juna. I've been wanting to make a couple video suggestions for you to consider. I haven't seen any other POD folks talk about these. 1) Did you know that in Canva, if you have a png overlaying another image, such as a design png overlaying a tshirt mockup, you can drop a new png into the current one? It acts just like a canva frame. I only recently (and accidently) discovered this, and it's made making my Etsy mockup workflow so much faster and more efficient! I have a set of mockups with standard MBA size pngs on them, and another for circular designs, another for single line text, etc. No more adjusting orientation, placement, and transparency for each mockup. 2) I think most people are always looking for easy ways to get good color schemes, and you've show how you can bring a screenshot of a shirt into Affinity Designer and use the color picker, which is great. But I learned you can also go to swatches > hamburger menu > create swatches from image, then upload an image and it will pull the colors from it for you to use. Kind of opens up a lot of possibilities - not just using images of shirts, but of cool photos, paintings, etc. Anyway, just some ideas you might be able to use. Keep up the great work, and Happy New Year!

      Oh, I would love if he could make a video about these things, especially the mockups. I haven't used them yet, but would love an easy way to learn how to use them. I am going to play around with that, right now...I am working in Canva.

      Kittl does NOT have a pen tool yet... you can outline text but I don't think you can knockout the outline from the background yet either
