There was this system too in the old GTA's im talking about Gta sa,vice city,lcs,vcs and Gta 4 there was a bonus of 50$ good Citizen then they removed It.
Well but realistically if you're a cop would you want some stranger to help you engage in a gunfight not knowing who the threat actually is or his actual intentions? Also it's not the players job, be cool if it could be though.
@hawkcybergear In GTA San Andreas you could steal a police vehicle to start a side mission where you chase criminals. And in IV if you had a police car you could access the police computer and kill Most Wanted criminals and stop random crimes nearby.
I'm hoping it's not another "living the life of a Rockstar Games protagonist would actually suck" story, like we had with GTAIV, V, and RDR2. Give us a fun, escapist story again where doing crazy criminal actions gets us fat stack. I don't think it takes a genius to recognize that a life where you're constantly shot at by cops and gangsters would be a terrible one.

@@AnthonyBlamthony Most of those still had plenty of moments of crazy fun, though. At the very least, I hope they avoid another RD2-style story, where you know from the very start that nothing will end well, and the main gang slowly loses their minds from the ever-growing pile of fuckups.

One thing I always kinda hated tho is how, especially in a car, if the police is trying to stop you but you don't do so immediately, the wanted level just progresses to two stars (or an equivalent of stars) and it will immediately go from arrest to shoot-to-kill just from running away. Only game I ever seen do it right was Mafia 1 and 2, where initially (say you get into minor crash) it would get you a fine, and if you keep running/driving away, it would go from fine to being detained, but unless you injured someone or shot at people, the police would never shoot-to-kill. If I remember correctly, they do try to shoot out tires if you drive past a cop on foot, but that's it. It's pretty immersion breaking when you're in a chase, the officer yells to pull over, you do so and he just gets out of the car and starts shooting
My head cannon is that all the different gangs and drug dealers in GTA are cops when they aren't doing business, explaining why the cops have so much money, infinite people, and why if they don't see you for a few minutes they don't care to catch you anymore
I remember once I was playing story mode and I walked over someone in the beach, I gained one star and died from the cops shooting at me, all because I walked over someone. I really hope they improve the cops behavior in GTA 6.
I hope that in GTA VI the police won't give you so fast stars but tbh the biggest and biggest update from GTA ONLINE it would be that the same feature from story mode to work in online too and that feature is if the police didn't seen in what vehicle you are while you did the crime or like if you steal/take another vehicle the police won't be able to revognize you
A cop legit ran me over out of nowhere and didn’t bat an eye then they gave me stars because they cut in front of me and I accidentally rammed into their car 😭
GTA IV was far more realistic in many ways, not just in physics. Something that many fake GTA IV fans seem to mention as the only realistic part of the game then proceed to state GTA V is peak realistic when you can't even enter a burger shot.
