He used to put a straight pipe on it to help the machine breathe better, and at night it used to glow red and even get a good flame out of it too. Every time he stopped to either clean out the shoes or let the poor thing cool down, he said he could light his cigarettes from the hot pipe
Looks great! Was the land side tire slipping a little? Ground conditions looked good but I was wondering if the land side was low on ballast. M sounds sharp!
Our Italian tune up was taking the pump off of the loader, and running the feed grinder as fast as we could shovel. When you had a flame out the stack, the plugs were clean.
Did that plow have 3 12's or bigger? Also, do you have any wheel weights for that tractor? The rear tire on the right, the one down in the newly plowed ground, is spinning just a little. This will cause the right tire to wear out quicker than the one on the left. Hmmm.
The plow is a three fourteen's International Harvester #60. I had some suitcase waits hanging on the back of the left side of the drawbar to keep the left from spinning, because of a lot of manure was spread on the field the day before.
They are new Good Year Titen 15.5 38. This is a #60 3 :14s plow. My brother was was running my tractor and plow so I can film a little. Yeah these tires are awesome, my brother told me that there should be about 30 loads of manure on this little 4 acre field and it moves right along in 3rd gear with out riding the breaks.
I will be bidding on one of these tomorrow!!! Hope i get it. any idea where I can buy the bush hog and other attachments for it? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
We use Stanley IH 10 mufflers on those tractors, which is about the closest in shape and design to the original IH mufflers. The Diesels last better and we have some IH mufflers left on diesel tractors. I am in Western Canada and we get them at Peavey Mart, which is similar to Tractor Supply in the U.S. I am not sure if they deal in them or not.
Here in Western Canada, there was a company that built wide fenders and a full platform for the Farmalls. We have a 2 sets of them, and I have seen many others with them.
That M is a beaut. C’mon, Marvin. Get ‘er plowed so you can run the 12ft. disc behind the 806 and get ‘er planted so you can pick that corn with Norby’s M come fall!! 😉

Watching this video I think back when I grew up working on my uncle farm and plowing with his farmall m, they great.

i have the same toolbox and pto cover on my m , does the box say CASE on the lid?
No, it doesn't. The cover is smooth and doesn't have any writing on it anywhere, so I don't know what brand it is.

You know if the engine block gets too bad from get rebuilt multiple times you can always slap a small block v8 chevy engine in there
