I drive a MG EV and it’s not the best but does represent value for money. Besides the normal drawbacks of an electric vehicle the MG seems to have gremlins in its computer and I have now had to get out the car, lock it then unlock and get back in before it would decide to drive. This has happened about four/five times in past year. Some days the radio comes on , some days you need to turn it back on and sometimes it just turns itself on going down the road. One day it stopped communicating with the phone and I no longer have the remote function. You do, however, get more for less than European cars. I think things will improve and we’ll likely be saying in a decade’s time “you know for a couple of extra grand you could’ve got a Chinese car with a ten year warranty!” The Chinese are training their kids at our universities and they will bring the best of both worlds into Chinese manufacturing and the west really needs to see what’s around the corner and reposition itself in the market if it wants to prosper in the first world markets
