Spencer can run the offense. The Ws have other guys who can score but only a limited number of guys who can run the point. That’s why Spencer was chosen over Plowden.

Also for the Dutch Basketball team.Hopefuly the Dutch youth will be more interrested in playing basketball .They are on average the longest humans in the world. Not sure, but Kevin Knox showed the best performance in that last game of summer league while Plowden struggled against tougher defenses. Knox might not have the best BQ, but I think he’s now able to deliver what the coach asks for.
I tend to take the emphasis on points in the international games a bit differently. He played well in spurts as a replacement for Dario last season so if there's a specific role, Kerr can plug him in. He's also proven himself at that level while Plowden hasn't, so giving an older and unproven Plowden a spot over an improving and useful Gui Santos who was good defensively and helped to close out games last season might not be the best move.

I'm guessing what happened here is that Atlanta must have already offered Plowden more of a role than he was ever going to get on this roster. I don't have any problem with him chasing an actual place in the league rather than being dicked around by this coaching staff. He was clearly the standout in summer league there is no objective reason to choose Beekman or Spencer over him unless he let the team know of Atlanta's offer and his desire to take that instead.

He is more acurate and a bigger body. Also a descent defender. This keeps teams on high alert for buddy and steph giving kuminga and wiggs an easier time scoring. Pods runs the 2nd team with slomo, moody, tjd and or looney and melton as a 2nd guard with great d. You can also run gp2 as well for melton.
MY theory, Is the warriors had hoped to make a big trade opening up money and roster spots but it has not happened yet. I think they always planned on giving Post a roster spot but they can't until a trade no cap space now Post is sitting on the side waiting and is getting offers over sees so the Warriors made this move to make sure he stays until they can work it out
