Opinions vary naturally but mine is that this was the best Eurovision winner ever. This lady has inner and outer beauty and comes across as a pleasant professional. She was 17 then, meaning she's 50 now. What a pity time has to fly but there's no evidence that I'm aware of, that she ever went off the wall, as so many of her fellow entertainers did. Give me Nicole any day of the week, as she was then, or even as she is now. This female is salt of the earth.

I was twenty when this won when it seemed the world was filled with potential and opportunity for all that could be good in life. Sadly the dream did not live up to the billing but I often listen to this song and imagine that it's message could still be fulfilled.

Ich bin ein alter Esel (53), ich komme aus der ehemaligen Tschechoslowakei und habe dieses Lied irgendwann in dieser Zeit zum ersten Mal gehört und es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Heute höre ich es hier zum ersten Mal auf Englisch und ich bin wieder beeindruckt. Auf jeden Fall einer der besten Songs in meinem Leben.

Nicole, being a student had special and talented gift in singing. Very excellent voice. I not only like her song but admired and treasured them dearly. A simple young lady is indeed a rising and shining star during that period of time. May grace of God be with her forever.

One day in England, the next off to Frankfurt, then to Berlin, then back to school for three days, then more TV shows on the weekend...one busy young lady in 1982!
packcat ..and also a true professional. Thank goodness she never let the pressure get to her or the success go to her head. The UK would never have an artist like Nicole, that's one of the reasons we no longer win the Eurovision. The first they would do is tell her to get rid of her guitar. When Andrew Lloyd Webber took over our song, even he rejected a singer who played the piano only to eventually see a vocalist/violinist win it for Norway.
