Thank you Nigel - when that washer dropped down in to the middle of the engine, I felt so much better that its not just me those sorts of things happen to 😂😂😂
Yep it happens to us all. So sharing that moment seemed worthy of inclusion. At the time I did not know this was a blind hole :-) Thanks for tuning in, next episode being filmed tomorrow. Cheers Nigel
Don't worry I'm human :-). The hours of work invested off camera to bring viewers the build is definitely considerable. However, it is extremely enjoyable and creative to bring hours of footage to life - including the odd mishap :-)
@v8creative I've done the washer thing on Chevy small blocks myself..... unfortunately, I wasn't on the ball enough to get the tape thing until I had done it twice....... sigh.
I'm surprised you have a new video up today, with just having had a birthday and all, but impressed you are ered from all the partying! Stickers???? YES! You are now an Honoray American Redneck!. Congrats!
Mr Dean That valve covers would have looked nice if they had a carbon look with red plug wires to match with the brake calipers and the chrome look fuel rails and V8Creative branding on the valve covers and ceramic coated headers. That Ultima is going to sound insane.
Yes, playing around with the colour choices on the engine definitely makes it stand out considerably. It sits so low in that engine bay it can get a little lost :-)
Great work Nigel 👍👍👍 I’ve been watching since epi1… the question that’s recently come to my mind is what episode will be the actual first road test of this beautiful beast???!!! No rush and no short cuts… keep doing what you’re doing 😉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Stephen and appreciate the support of the channel. It's a good question and I'm actually unsure. However, I'm now feeling I'm on the final stretch of the build. I have always imaged it would be 60 episodes and that is currently looking fairly accurate. Cheers Nigel
It’s all about emissions and passing IVA. Seems honkers to me when these cars do around 1500 miles a year. Anyway, once on the road the skies the limit ;-)
Hi and sorry for the delay in replying. I was waiting to take the valve covers off the engine for powder coating to give you the right answer :-). And the answer is yes they do. The valve covers are now with the machine shop for powder coating so can't wait for their return. Cheers Nigel
Very surprised with all the craftmanship and thought Ultima puts into the kit they have a harness that leaves relays just hanging on pigtails behind the dash.
I have yet to attach the relays and tidy up the wiring behind the dash. It is the pressure of filming to meet the Friday deadlines, I will just remove the binnacle and take my time off camera with a beer or two :-). In fact that is exactly what tonight entails
HaHa, don't worry I have aligned all the switch and warning light logos with a spirit level off camera. As for the ABS warning light - this beast doesn't have such driver aids - that is basically to tell you once the fluid is too low :-)
Appreciate your comment and yes some people prefer the crate look but once installed in the engine bay the V8 in standard form tends to disappear. As such my approach is to add some colour and height to the unit. Anyway, all down to personal choice and thank you for tuning in. Cheers Nigel
Not sure of the context of your comment, but it could well be a typo in one of my titles. If so, thanks for the observation, if not please elaborate :-)
You would get more traction if you did a 15 minute video every week, rather than a 30 minute video every 2 weeks. You fall off "the algorithm's" radar, so you dont get recommended to someone who watched your video 2 weeks ago.
Thanks for the info and as you say that algorithm can make all the difference. Yes you are correct I could split down the longer episodes, maybe I will give it some thought
You should machine your channel name on the valve covers after the power coat.
Love the content, thanks and keep it up!
You are a mind reader ;-)

Looking great! You make the build look so easy, so it was nice for you to show you’re human too (losing that washer). The dash came out great.

Ahhh, we got a peak at the engine. I can't wait for more of that.
Yep, that V8 is coming together :-)
Loved the Top Fuel sound effects. Will probably seem like that on first hard run. Keep up the good work!
Yep, if anyone reads your comment and has not witnessed a top fuel run then put it on your bucket list.
@v8creative I've done the washer thing on Chevy small blocks myself..... unfortunately, I wasn't on the ball enough to get the tape thing until I had done it twice....... sigh.
@@comicsman30 luckily those holes are blind otherwise it would be I take off time. Thanks for watching

Now that made me smile. If it were down to me I would be in the Dean Den for my entire Birthday ;-)
Mr Dean

Love this build! Finally the engine!!! Surprised you didn't put in a modified 224 cam and valve spring upgrade.

Its all about the detail...guess beer helps with dehydration at times..😂👍
Hi Bruno, yep i's all the detail including the temperature of the beer - ice cold
Nigel, Did your stock valve covers have a baffel? if so you may want to add one to the replacements

Hahahaha. Loved the engine start! Made me laugh hard!
Yes, I have been to see drag racing a few times and those top fuel pulls are simply unbelievable. Not sure if Rufus would agree
Not long now Nigel..Love to know what this car will be worth when it's completed..
She is coming together well. Moving into the engine bay for the next episode
Each sticker adds 5hp, so don't forget to slap those on the bumper.
That's a very good observation :-). As you say, stickers add horsepower
29:25 I can't see that ABS warning light being on the piss for too long. ^^

Do you sell V8 Creative t-shirts ? I would be into buying one.
Hi and you are not the only one to ask. I have yet to delve into the world of merchandise but if I see a demand I have a few ideas. :-)
why is there an ignition key if there is a start/stop button? seems kinda redundant.
It’s for insurance purposes since it adds another level of security
Strange I preffer the look of the original Engine as delievered ?

I heard a new word, "Kinnell" , 1809, hmm wonder what it means
HaHa, I tend to bleep out my stress points but clearly my editing was a little off at that point :-)

@@v8creative yes! The writing in the video spelled gauge wrong. No problem 😉
