Not to over share but i just have to say it now. My dad and i were never super close. My senior year of high school he disowned me and kicked me out because of my step mom. In 7th grade, our teachers had our parents write us letters that we got when we graduated and i never read my dads. We reconciled a few years ago and i broke down and read it during quarantine and it basically said “L stands up for what she believes in. She cares about animals, the environment and other people; sometimes too much but i know her heart is in it. She is an incredible person to know and to see the world through such loving eyes is such a beautiful experience”. I texted my dad to see if he truly felt that way and he told me it still rings true. That “I care, sometimes too much, but to see the world through the lense of such love is an unimaginable experience” and it meant the absolute world to me.
