The Later case is not really worth bothering with IMO. It offers so little protection and not having MagSafe is a deal breaker for me.

Ironically enough this is my favorite case because I love the feel of the naked iPhone. The whole back is protected including the camera module which is nice! I do wish it had stronger MagSafe but I can still manage.
Caudabe synthesis is best case ive tried so far. Perfect fit and not too much added mass. Perfection all around. Oh and it had sticky magsafe.

Better than the caudabe sheath? I'm curious as to what they changed, despite the design, that makes it better than the sheath.
No magsafe? I would normally not even watch such a video, but out of respect to T I'll watch for the algorithms.
I had a latercase for my 14 Pro and I get why they don't have Magsafe. Their whole niche is "the world's thinnest case", this is especially true now that Pitaka gave up on the Air case and went all in on MagEZ. The case is 0.6mm thin, it's basically a skin that offers some drop protection (and it's decent protection for most normal pocket-height drops on a flat surface).
If they added Magsafe, then the thickness and weight would probably double, similar to the Pitaka MagEZ case. In a world where your competition is fattening up for Magsafe, the minimalism here is a differentiatior.
Also, the case is so thin that it's good enough for many magsafe use cases. For example, my 14 Pro would easily snap to the Apple Magsafe puck (and could pick it up) while equipped with a Latercase. It was well secured on our ESR 3 in 1 travel charger. My generic Amazon Magsafe battery pack also works fairly well, but is easy to knock off. It was even fine on my Belkin Magsafe car mount in 99% of driving (every once in a while a pothole would bump it off). Aside from being super-thin, the case has a great texture, I think any charger/accessory that supports the phone at an angle would work fine (like our ESR charger). Other use-cases like popsockets and pure vertical are obviously a no-go.
Now the only reason I didn't buy one this time around (and I still might) is because 1) I got a popsocket on clearance and I really took a liking to it, 2) I got a 15 PM and the extra weight is probably enough to push over the edge of usability with my car mount.

Awesome video Tee. Also can you hit up later case and see if they can make some with full coverage and it possibly a nice light to -medium gray color way. Trying to have some cases aside from black blue brown and white to match this damn natural titanium. Mag safe is a must. I can’t be missing out on features, I’ll forgo a little bit of that thin profile to be able to use mag safe.
Would love to see something a little different from them but let’s start at MagSafe first and go from there. Full coverage with MagSafe would be 👍🏽
Thank you for your videos I did some BF shopping got the ESR MagSafe certified 3 in 1 charger also ordered the Sheath and Synthesis of Caudabe, I already have the Later case for S21 Ultra and the feel is amazing but I am too scared to use it because of the protection.

ESR makes a magnet ring you can add to any case to make it 'MagSafe'. I had one on my LaterCase for my iPhone 12PM and it worked great. Will be getting one when I decide to get a new LaterCase for my 15PM

Best looking when it comes to between them, pitaka and Benks but we’re on the 4th iPhone with MagSafe and they haven’t added it yet! Pass on latercase till they add it.

Lew should make a latercase 2.0 make it a bit fatter and fit in magnets for MagSafe, keep the camera protection, close the entire case so the booty is not out and it’s the best case on the market imo

Purchase one for my iPhone 14 Pro Max last year and only used it for a month because it did not have back safe. Not even a thought this year for my 15 Pro Max.

Tee, most definitely need mag safe we are in 2023-2024 most mounts require mag safe for what ever reason they don't really provide much protection either. I bought the blue one a while back and to be honest I haven't used it because of the reasons you said.

That gap between the LiDAR lens and the case is annoying, it catches all kinds of dust and dirt.

Thanks so much for the review. It helped me to decide not to go for this brand/model. I work on the entertainment industry and things can get a bit rough sometimes. Once I saw those open sides I knew although looks pretty this case will not protect my phone the way I need. Great review.

@@TechnicallyTee for me being a Canadian consumer, $50 USD plus $5 Shipping, this case comes to low 70's in CAD, which Pitaka is only $10 more at that point.
Which is in my opinion a better Quality case and has MagSafe

If you’re mad at him then be made at every other brand who makes these type of cases.

Pointless case. 2023 no magsafe, exposed bottom and top. Plenty of minimal and thin cases the are enclosed.
