You will need to ground the brown wire, from the gauge, at the ECU. That is the ground reference for the gauge's voltage output.
I’m use to the Non X series you are correct. My tuner actually told me. Ima pin this post as to not give bad info. Just incase anyone runs into issues by not doing this.
@@TexasHondaChannel It's a slight added complication, installation-wise. But, it is worth it to get rid of ground offset errors. :)

which wire on the ECU? I converted it from OBD2 to OBD1, but any answer helps

Wide band o2 also puts out 0-5v dc… is the gauge basically putting out the same signal that’s coming from the o2?

Hi, when you connect an external AEM widband, do u leave out the original sensor?
Does the computer know how to perform repairs using an aem sensor? Of course after connecting it to the ecu.
I have a d16y8 I was thinking of doing a standalone and using a haltech 750

Where you have the hot wire (port 3), what is the amperage?
is that white power wire under the dash a stock wire?? is there something that usually goes to the port?
For the white wire how come you just cut the wire and spliced the wideband into it and the other end of the wire is left alone?
At the ecu I cut the white wire instead of tapping into it because the sensor under the hood would be putting a signal into the ecu as well as the aem. Now it’s only the Aem putting signal into the computer
I guess that means I can stop work on modeling those velocity stacks then 😜

He traded it off. He hasn't been back to texas since he did that though. Kinda wanted to show what he got. I wish he had kept his ef though.

Yes if you would likento datalog and make changes after a test pass . Where you can see numbers if it goes rich or lean at what rpm and you can make accurate changes .
