Great video. I like how you don’t exhaustively show massive amounts of grinding. Loved the explanation of the feathering. Best looking horn handle I’ve seen. Thanks.
@@TonySeverioKnives You are very welcome and I used to be a custom knife maker until I got my spine messed up and I had to give up doing what I loved doing 😔
awesome work, i am learning a lot :) ... could you show more different damascus patterns please, that was very educating and you explain it in a way that i understood.
Thanks! I’ll get some up eventually. There are a few on there such as basketweave, ladder and twist but I will be posting some mosaics in the future. I usually make these builds along with custom orders. That way I kill two birds with one stone. If I were a full time RUclipsr it woukd be much easier. But I’m not even close to that. lol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for addressing how much steel is lost in the forging process. That’s something I wasn’t really prepared for when I started doing forge welding . At first I was afraid I was doing something wrong as the finished billet was a lot less steel than I started out with. Eventually I figured out that it was just the cost of doing business when doing forge welding and the amount of cleanup required for a clean weld with multiple layers. Great video!
Hello Tony, What an amazing knife you built there, I really like the fearher damascus. I think it's my favorite pattern. First time I hear about the kerosene thing... I learn something new from almost every video from you! Have a nice day!
As always- Bravo and thanks for taking us along for the ride- narration works with action shots imho... nice lookin' rabbit there! Solid hunting my friend- awesome results!
That's a totally awesome blade my friend and I really love the video 👍. I understand your love of hand sanding. Im handsanding a blade now that looks like i grinded it with a skillsaw and a chisel 😡 it's the worst blade I think I grinded since I started
Awesome damascus Tony and the way you contour the damascus to the blade and then matching the grooves on the pommel tho the antler helps take the whole build to the next level. I don't know what you charge for your work but its got to be worth it just on detail and finish. Thanks for sharing
Thank you my friend, I appreciate it. I love the look of antler. These take me about three weeks to build. This is my full time job so they have to be worth the time and money for sure. 🙂
I signed up interesting as how you forge knives, I buy them with good steel I change the plastic handle and make it out of wood and modify the blade to make it cut like a cutter.👍
And i also hope you are going to do a video on that folder. I've been looking for a pattern for a couple days and can't find an easy one. I see videos of people making them i just can't find one. Do you know where I can look? Thanks
There’s an old one on my channel. I’m going to make an updated one later this year. Here’s the old one. ruclips.net/video/c8mHU3IZk-M/видео.htmlsi=lP1BbKM8R3K73raZ

That is a beautiful piece of cutting art! Pun intended.
Thank you!! 😁😁
Great video. I like how you don’t exhaustively show massive amounts of grinding. Loved the explanation of the feathering. Best looking horn handle I’ve seen. Thanks.

Another exquisite knife!👍✌️⚒️
Thank you!
That pommel!!! I've never seen it ground to make it match the handle material before. What a detail!! That turned out beautiful man!!
Thank you my friend. I have always loved that look and I do that to most of my stag handles. It just sets it off.

Yep loose a ton to scale and cleanup. That’s why speed is so important. Fast strong press helps me a lot.
Dope AF results @TonySeverioKnives! Now it needs an equally dope sheath/scabbard to complete the package!
Thank you! It does and it’s on its way to the client with the knife. 🙂

Cool Build. what bandsaw do you use in the video - for cutting so easily through that billet? Thanks,
Thanks. The bandsaw is nothing special. The steel is annealed so it will cut easily. Thanks for watching 🙂
👍
Thanks!

Beautiful knife
