    I made at least 40 such thermo electric generators and Thermo galvanic cells using evaporation by endothermic means as well as various engines & motors whilst still at school over 50 ago, and if I had your depth of scientific knowledge and workshop at my disposal would have tens of thousands more by now. Keep up the good work there are not many this ilk left.

    More awesome stuff from the man himself! Thanks for sharing Rob! Just while I am here I recall you doing an extremely interesting video on a strange capacitor that stored 10000 times more charge than it should. You explained the reason was a series of tiny micro structures in the material where the charge could gather. I have been pouring through your videos to try and find what that materials actually was but since the videos have been re uploaded I don't seem to be able to find it. Would you perhaps do a quick 3 min video on the significance of those structures when it comes to storing charge again please? I have seen some novel methods of creating these structures like lasering an acrylic sheet to form micro needles and then pouring in some sort of polymer like silicon and making a mold of sorts but I would like to use a natural material if possible!

    I noticed this myself when making some different batteries, you don't actually need graphene oxide to make this happen, lots of different batteries can exibit "evaporation-saturation power generation"
    My current project, I'm using crushed charcoal on one electrode and titatium dioxide mixed with prussian blue and pva glue on the other electrode.
    It will function as a DSSC (dye sensitised solar cell) when in the sunlight, but out of the sunlight, the oxidation of the prussian blue will cause the solar cell to function as a battery when the light is gone until all of the prussian blue turns to prussian white, at which point adding in sunlight will turn the prussian white back to prussian blue.
    But prussian blue is also reactive with moisture, so the cell should also generate with varying moisture levels as well.
    Going to make a video on it when I perfect my cell. It's going to be 3d printable, so when I'm done, I'll share the design.

      Just thinking Robert. Could you encase the one side of battery so it stays dry. Does the reaction of moisture to battery to produce energy have a reaction like heat so Moisture evaporates off cell to make dry. What happens if cell immersed one side in water? I bought a flashlight that was similar to this. you wet the battery and it runs until it dries out. Then you rehydrate it and off you go. It said in the docs about it is good for 200 charges and then you have to replace the battery. Not sure if it was exactly the same chemical make up but it was at least a similar process. I did return it to the retailer because the replacement battery was very expensive for the durable life and I felt it needed more development to be a useful product.

    Does this battery continue to produce electricity as long as it is wet?
    Or is there a point when it has to be allowed to dry out?
    I'm thinking that coupling it with a wet sponge or other similar water absorbing device would give you a longer period of electricity.
    It would be nice if they could get it sensitive enough to create electricity strictly from the humidity in the air.
    It would be a boon for electrical production in locations near large bodies of water that have days of high humidity.

    Great video!!! Now we are getting somewhere. Now here is the big question in my mind. Could we rather than coat glass, coat a surface on one side of a celluloid material and it still work? If so, could we not use the paper cell to drive the hydrogen needed for this graphene oxide cell? In other words, make a complimentary system between the 2 to produce a system in which the paper cell would make current while charging the graphene oxide cell. The cell becomes saturated with runoff hydrogen then it produces current. As its current is drawn off during it's discharge phase it too would have oxygen and hydrogen runoff then feeding the celluloid cell to produce even more current. Making a continually perpetuating current from one to the other using the same water fuel. The biggest problem I see with this is the collector on the side coated with the oxide would have to be porous. I guess a possibility would be to impregnate the cellulose side with a glucose layer. May have just found my summer project. Thanks again for this wonderful video.

      @@PetraKann Oh I am sure there are many flaws, besides it's not a design it's an experiment. Notice I said "big question in my mind" and would it work or not. I have no idea whether it would work or not. Now with that said there is one critical flaw in your statement. What is the critical flaw that you claim with a theoretical experiment never been attempted design concept? That's what a technical person calls "working out the bugs". So don't claim a flaw without naming said flaw. I know without doubt that there are many flaws to potentially have to work through. Now which of these have you spotted?

    • @jamesross1003
      @jamesross1003 2 года назад

      I guess I need to clarify what I am proposing as a possibility and why. The paper cell is pretty much a proton pump and the oxide cell appears to be an electron pump. Both with opposing charges. In an energy system, the energy produced is the difference between the charges at opposing ends of the spectrum. So what if it were possible to marry the two cells in someway to compliment each other? Can it feasibly be done? Honestly I have no idea. But it might be fun and would surely be a learning experience even if it failed miserably. Hell, I would be happy to just build them so that they work individually. If they worked together it would be a big bonus.

      @ThinkingandTinkering  2 года назад +4

      that sounds like an awesome summer project mate - I think your thinking is spot on and you are asking the right kinds of questions. If it was me I would combine it with the paper too - I think the only reason the current collector materials chosen were chosen just because they could be sure there was no faradaic contribution from those materials. Petra Kann's comment I found annoying - it is no use at all and only does one thing - it says look at me how smart am I - nothing else - if Petra had included the issue they thought was there - well then it would have been an awesome comment - but just to say that as far as I am concerned is to say nothing of value.

    Robert could this be made with (SODIUM SILICATE ADSONBENT and DIAMETRIC EARTH) and then sprayed on in thin layers until the thickness you desire is achieved? If this is possible then you could spray and build any thickness desired where it could be used in the Shower Room and KITCHEN plus Cloths dryer MECHINE EXOUST allowing Moister to spread over Battery Surface even the outside of your Home to construct a very large Battery that could maybe run most or all the power needs of your Home. Maybe each Brick or Building Block for Foundation, also House Siding and Roofing. Maybe even Driveway. What do you think?

    Hi Murray. I love your videos and really appreciate your dedication to free energy solutions. I am working on a project to combine a passive all year round greenhouse with an underground cooling chamber (for growing mushrooms); to create a climate (heat and air) exchanger. I am combining some of the technologies you have brought to light with some concepts/materials made by RUclipsr NightHawkInLight; infrared paint and PCMs.
    I have have been wondering if you could offer some insights or alternative solutions whereby the moisture formed or this dramatic temperature difference itself can be utilised to create a barrier/wall between both rooms or harnesses excess energy? I was looking into Piezoelectricity and I found this video here. Before I rack your brain too much, are there any tips you can recommend for how I might be able to experiment in creating such a 'vapour' barrier or any other ways I might be able to trap any excess energy in the build design?

    So i wonder if it would this be practical to have structure to collect moisture in the desert nighttime aswell as charge some batteries . That would be super amazing if that could be incorporated into that existing technology .Seems like just a humid environment would provide a sufficient energy for yellow leds lighting up known foggy roadways and cycle paths where the fog is the actual detector as well as the energy producer!

    I haven't made graphite oxide yeah because I was a little nervous about the whole situation even though I have rigged up a wonderful product made in the UK it's a chiller made by grant industrial? Grant instruments? I can't remember at this point their exact name I know it's a grant chiller and it's one of the best men so I know that I have the proper equipment to keep this very cold and safe but I keep on thinking back to when I made potassium chlorate and I was doing a compound that actually and you're going to shudder adds a substantial amount of sulfur to the chlorate compound. If you know what that does you would be very terrified to know that I had about 1000 grams of it.
    To give you an idea of the explosive nature of this compound if you mix these two with some sort of sugar compound and take a pea sized lump of it and hit it with a hammer it will shatter the hammer head possibly killing you and setting up all the car alarms for six blocks.
    I had this gingerly mix by making a very low powered Tumblr where I could tumble it right in a beaker very slowly NA had taken the compound ought to carry away and dropped it on my feet it slipped out of my hands I almost had a heart attack the only reason why it didn't blow up was that I hadn't added the sulfur yet I had only done the glucose and didn't realize it. If I would've had an entire 1000 milliliter beaker full of this it would have blown my entire house up I would have been dead instantly and ever since then I've been shy about doing anything with any dangerous chemicals now of course in hindsight I have learned if I have to work with explosive product do it a tiny bit at a time and keep everything in the four corners of my labs separate
    I'm shaking right now just thinking of that happening because anything can happen you can be as careful as careful can be and something unexpected can ruin your whole life.
    So compared to that very foolish thing that I did by making that compound making graphite oxide is pretty tame especially when I have the chiller in place I have made a water bath specialized with coil glass tubes that run chiller solution through it I can actually freeze water in that cooling dish if I cranked the thing up too high so I could actually do this process inside in a fume hood without really worrying too much.
    When I'm doing something dangerous or toxic like working with phenolic plastic recipes or whatnot I run through the entire process mentally five or ten times thinking of everything that could possibly go wrong. Call me paranoid i probably AM but at this point I'd rather be safe than sorry.

      @@ThinkingandTinkering I concur with you. Plasma is the first phase state of matter, plasma is a transformer, it transforms Aetheric fluid/still magnetic light, into Matter, by means of perturbation(s).

      @James Cunliffe without the negative you cannot realize the positive, and everything would be in Stasis. This "Zero Point" is where all Potentia resides, you can call it The Aetheric Fluid/Akashic records/Still magnetic light, or whatever term fits.
      "Energy derives from both the plus and negative." - Metallica, Eye of The Beholder.
      Currently, due to Claude Shannon, we use a dipole/binary system of Code, either on or off(0 or 1). However "Nature" does not operate on a binary system, it operates on a Triptych Code (-1,0,+1).

    • @Cryptic_Triptych
      @Cryptic_Triptych 2 года назад

      @James Cunliffe no such things as particles, only perturbations.
      There exists implosion, compression and explosion (-1,0,+1). This is explained by rapid bifurcation, fractal replication, and repulsion. If this process is fast enough it causes cavitation (sonoluminescence). Rapid cavitation pulsing results in plasma production which can be controlled by using magnetism, see ITER Tokamak and W7X Stellarator. By utilizing Alfven's principles of magnetohydrodynamics, it is possible to create a "sun" (an Aetheric fluid generator and Matter transformer) - Amun Ra.
