Can you guys add anti-tank bomblets for IL-2s [1.5 kg bomblets could easily penetrate the relatively thin upper armor of most German tanks. IL-2s can carry 4 containers (each containing 48 bomblets) enough to devastate a 200 meter long tank column.] I want to drop these bomblets to people who spawn kill my team mates.
Why is the f6f higher than the P-47? The f6f has 2 bombs, 6 rockets, and 6 guns whereas P-47 has 3 bombs, 8 rockets, and 8 guns. Am I missing something?
From a Mixed Battles point of view, the P-47 is unrivalled. The Hellcat comes close but can't equal up. The potential of deadliness you can unleash to enemy tanks with bombs and rockets is unrivalled and it's 8 50. cal's unleash a laserbeam of death that will make short work out of every GAZ AAA truck or other lightly halftrack you'll frequently encounter on this tier. So even after you dropped your bombs you're still a deadly threat to enemy AAA vehicles, fighters and bombers alike. It's incredibly fun to play. While the soviets have their own lend lease P-47 to improve their destructive capability it's balance wise actually a shame that the german captured P-47 version doesn't come with any bombs and rockets at all. The Stuka, IL2 or Peshka don't even come close, despite being dedicated ground attackers. Which is largely due to the fact that they fly much more sluggish and their cannons - in contrast to their historical performance - are almost useless in mixed battles. Bombs are certainly the way to go for reliable kills.
Why is the BR of a F4F Wildcat the same as the F6F Hellcat? This extremely puzzles me because the F6F was made with a WAY better engine designed to be able to take out the Zeros that would stall the Wildcats out and defeat them.

Was also nice how it is a list of "Attacker" aircraft and only 1 of of which is considered an attacker by the game (which was, of course, the IL-2). Even the Ju-87 variant on the list is only considered a bomber since it's guns can't do crap against tanks. Next thing we know, they are going to give us a list of "Top 5 Bomber Aircraft" and are going to see a bunch of fighters as well. And speaking of bombs, you can easily tell this video is old since the bombs don't have the stupid "Assault Fuse".
Interesting list, but I've also found that the Hellcat is a capable energy fighter. In fact, I almost never equip it with bombs and rockets; few RB battles are ended by ground forces being destroyed. I still see where they're coming from; you may end up with one of those matches where everyone actually targets ground forces.
Why is there no Bf-110 on here? The c-4 (now c-7) can carry a 1000kg (or 2204lb) bomb with a 17m overpressure radius (or 57ft)! And a 250 kg bomb as well.
Funny how this video still shows direct impact infuses for nicer explosions while trying to give advices for gameplay. After all this doesn't work anymore since the 4.5 second Assault Fuse was introduced
For me, F-84 Thunderjet is the best plane against tanks and bombers in the Tank realistic battles. 2x1000lbs bombs and 8x127mm HVAR rockets can destroy everything.
There is no way the IL-2 or F6F would beat out the Jug or Able Dog(which for some reason isn't even on the list). A large chunk of what CAS is being able to see what you're bombing, and the P-47 and AD-2 have the best cockpits in game for doing just that, with the armament to back it up.

One airplane that is hugely overlooked here is the Horten 229. It has an airbrake, allowing for slow ground attacks. It carries no payload, but its 30mm Mk 103 cannons are slow firing and deadly, especially when using the HVAP rounds, or High Velocity Armor Piercing rounds. Its 300 rounds of ammo lasts a long time--long enough for you to take out 20+ enemy ai tanks. If nobody finds you, you have an escort, or get lucky and defend yourself, the Horten can take out every enemy ai tank (or pillbox) on the map, depleting the enemies' victory points and earning you ~5k rp (I get ~18k with talisman AND premium), antimech, possibly mission maker, and 30-50k lions. It is truly a great attacker, even though it is classified as a jet fighter.
Hellcats and wildcats are annoying as hell, they're really tough as well, seen them shrug off several 37mm APHEs from an Ostwind, I don't think I've ever shot one down in RB ground
Even at top tier (6.7+ br) I still have at least on P-47 for my american tank preset. That or an AD-2. Germans, I use my Bf110, 410's and Hs.129 B-3. Russians and Brits really dont have any sort of "well rounded" attackers that I can get behind aside from maybe the Peshkas, but a P-47 or Bf110 still outclasses them in my book....
I've been trying to get high up in Soviet tanks, but I know I can't go up to tier 3 using the YAK-1, so I'm trying to get the IL-2s. But does anyone know if the YAK 2 KABB is any good?
err, hellcat is good, but not better than p47 in ground pounding. the only advantage it has over it is tiny tim rockets, and it has to give up alot of payload to mount them. Also, no AD-2? 2-4000 pounds of bombs, atleast 12 rockets, and the ability to mount tiny tims... it can obliterate several tansk before needing to rearm.
The thing is, in 90% of games, attackers are just easy meat for other fighters and contribute only to ensuring their team loses :/ im talking from a perspective of someone who flyes mostly fighters

I'm a fan of the PBJ, but only the all 50 caliber version. I've never been able to use the artillery version. But yeah, great bomb loads, excellent armor and defensive armaments, and enough forward-firing machine guns to turn any head-on engagement into a swiss cheese factory.
I dunno about high tier attackers... My A-26 shreds tanks while going 500km/h thanks to the bomb sight. Best attacker in game with speed, bombload, armor, and accuracy.
Should have been P47M, IL2M, Ho229, AD-2, Fw-190. No way an IL2M would best a P47M at ground attack simply because AAA tear them to shreds because of the attack vector you're limited to. Ho229 needs mentioned because it's HVAP rounds are ridiculous. AD-2 has an insane amount of weaponry it can carry. Finally, the FW has those crazy AT rockets. Stucka has inferior bombs and is way too slow against AAA. I've never seen the Pe's as a threat. hellcat is good, but it can't match the p47 or IL2M

If it takes more than 0.5 seconds for the bomb to hit the ground the bomb blows up instantly. I still find it easy to be a fighter bomber. Just adapt

This was an old video. Nowadays there are more modern jet fighters equipped with rocket pods like G91 that can smash a tank column with ease.
No one ever remembers the ki-102, that is until the 57mm hits.
