It’s weird to see people on RUclips walking somewhere you walked in before!!
It feels so cool
Thank you for glamorizing my home city! Born and raised there but moved to the East Coast at 12. I am feeling like I needed to go back to my roots, so I'm exploring the internet to see my old home I grew up in, my old school before it got demolished, and just Windsor in general! I wanna go back to Ontario for a visit, but I wanna go back to Windsor for sure.
We really enjoyed visiting Windsor, it was actually my first time ever there. Seems like there are some great attractions and I really liked the waterfront. Hope you get to visit again one day.
The best attraction of Windsor is practically Detroit in front of it.
I will be visiting the city of Windsor for the Sept,2022 long weekend, I really appreciate watching this video so many fun things to do while there. Thank you!
Thank you!! Hope you have a great time. 🙌
Very nice video about Windsor......This will help boost Windsor's image...good job.
Great city The Windsor
I been there 5 times downtown I’m from Scotland 🏴 originally Iraqi 🇮🇶
What this gotta do with anything
Windsor has no beauty compared to Scotland
I love urban art and dinosaurs. The drive-in would be a great date night.
Can you believe that I grew up in Detroit, but have never been to Windsor? Next time, I'm back to visit family, I'm definitely going. There's plenty to see and do and those river views are amazing. Great tips!
Really!? Well one day you might have to visit. I'd suggest visiting in the summer to enjoy the patios and scenery 👌
I know windsor very well, beautiful place
then you really dont k ow windsor at all. its awful nothing to do thay dont envolve booze. junkies and homeless have taken over.
This place is in our bucket list. Seems so wonderful
It's a lovely city - we liked the summer vibes by the river.
It’s a nice city. But wait for everything to open back up first.
very beautiful place
like the scenery
good video
Great video. Visited Windsor years ago and found the people friendly. Thanks for sharing.
This is beautiful! The skyline is soooo beautiful. The Coventry Gardens looked so cool too, but I'd love to do all of these things! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to visit this awesome city soon!
I'm planning on moving to Windsor one day!!!!
Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona 🇺🇸. I live near Urban art area's we have it alot in Downtown Phoenix area. The urban art is what I like. Windsor looks very nice suburban culture type vacation. Good place to raise families there. Very impressive.
I live in windsor and it is a nightmare
Thank you for your video. I worked in Detroit in 15’ and while I was at the auto show I looked out at Windsor and always wondered what it was like.
Another excellent Ontario video. Thanks for posting. Very informative
You have to include the Blues Fest, it happens every summer they have great blues bands that come in and perform down by the riverfront.
Windsor is awesome i live in windsor
I grew up in Toledo and have a lot of family and friends in the Detroit area....I've spent a LOT of time in Windsor when I was younger. Love the Riverwalk areas. Next time I am up that way I am going to use your tips and know some new places to try! Thanks for sharing!!
I've never been to Toledo! I'd like to visit more of the US when I can. Windsor is lovely and we were in Detroit about 10 years ago, so it's time to go back! Hope the tips can be helpful :)
Great video thou most was in Walkerville and downtown. Sandwich Town which dates back to late 1700s has incredible historic buildings with restaurants and a brewery.
I grew up in Windsor, and visit often since I now live near Detroit, and it's often overshadowed by bigger cities so thank you for this video! I've been stuck stateside for nearly 2 years because of the pandemic and this video helped me with my nostalgia! Thanks for reminding me of things to do when I visit again.
Had so much fun in this city! The bull + barrel is an awesome bar to go to for good nightlife! Had a great time at craft heads brewery, Caesars + treehouse as well what a fun little city. Oh and its one of the only cities in canada with bird scooters. Leave them wherever you want and pick them up all over the city. So fun :)
I'll have to go back and try that bar and check out the scooters. Maybe not at the same time though 🤣
@@TheAverageTourist Yes do the scooters before the bars LOL
For #11, that area is used for all sorts of things like Blues Fest, Rib Fest, Freedom Festival. Before the pandemic the Freedom Fest would double the population of Windsor during the fireworks show.
Really freedom ? So if I go there can I talk about transgender are no women without being called transphobic ? and talk about Isreal doesn't exist and they killing Palestinian without being called antisemitic??? Wow I love that FREEDOM fest I definitely need to go there ... is FREEDOM festival right ?!😏
This is awesome place and you described very well,, really enjoyable
So many interesting place
Windsor is great! Home to one of the best whiskey distilleries in Canada!
I can't wait to go do the whiskey experience one day.
yay! thanks for sharing these attractions and activities. very helpful and useful especially for those who are planning to visit the said place.
Thank you very much! Glad you find it helpful.
Great video of a city with a lot of history and memories. My neice and her husband were married at Willistead Manor, a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for posting.
I've never heard of Windsor, Ontario before but now I know there are so many great things to do there! You've got a new subscriber here!
I want to do a working holiday in Canada, Windsor is on my list of places to live and work, sending you guys lots of love from Australia. (The other places are Toronto and the obvs Vancouver).
I enjoyed my working holiday in Sydney, Brisbane! Massive love from 🇰🇷
Wonderful!!
Amazing video, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
I've lived in Windsor for 12 outta almost 18 years and you managed to make Windsor look like L.A. I'm extremely impressed and surprised, quality vid right here
You think making Windsor look like LA is positive? Those people in LA are crazily stupid. The tents, homeless people, needles and human drops. They even have an app to map the human poops in the city. Of course some still rich but stupid people, they are the shame of the society. I like Windsor, but like LA, no thanks.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves comparing ... Windsor.. to LA. 🙄
im from la and windsor looks nicer
Hello Am looking for a host family or a shelter in Windsor.
It's just amazing, i love this kind of video. Well done 👍🏻
Thank you very much!
Nice places to visit and excellent explanation abt each place’s.
Never stop exploring.........so keep going to offer in us amazing videos like this!!!!!!
Huge subs from us.....
Ontario looks inviting and so with the weather I thought its still snowing out there, I love the floating fountain is very cool!
Windsor is pretty bad ngl, go to Vancouver or British Columbia there's a lot to do and see
- person who lives in Windsor
I wouldn't make a judgement of the weather in Ontario based off of its most southern city by far, in April.
It was great to see these suggestions in a comprehensive video. That ship wave shocked me again😁
Love your style Sarah.
Thanks so much! Yes those waves were massive!
THANKS ITS GREAT
Everytime we see your videos it makes us want to visit some breweries.
The manor house and garden look so perfectly manicured! Windsor looks like a very pretty place to visit with a mix of modern architecture along with some more historical looking places.
So different to the Windsor we have here in England!
Haha we have that boozey effect on people 😂 It definitely is much different than your Windsor, but I'm pretty sure that's where our Windsor stole the name from!
this is my first time in your channel. I was looking videos from Windsor but there is not to many or no fresh videos. so thank you for this video I love it!
Hi guys, wow Windsor is so beautiful and there is so much to do there. The loose goose looks awesome.
I think the urban art / murals are so absolutely awesome.
Yay for the mentioning the Breweries 🎉 they look awesome especially the second one after having a full day of travel they have a good selection.
The Casion looks so lovely, such a pitty it was closed. Love getting a glimpse of a lighthouse in each city.
Thanks for showing us awesome things to do in Windsor, we hope to get an opportunity to travel there one day.
Thanks guys! Yes it was a fun weekend getaway. And you know us, always on the hunt for breweries 😂
Beautiful place. When I get a chance definitely will explore this place!
Fantastic! Hope you enjoy when you do visit.
Wonderful tour and presentation dear! Looks a really beautiful place ❤️🤗
Great job one more time 👏
Thanks very much! I appreciate it.
Perfect 👌
Thank you.
Now that was really nice 👍 thanks. Not that we would ever go there, but it was lovely to be shown around, thank you 🙏
Yes it might be a far journey for your guys!
@@TheAverageTourist for us it’s just nice to see what you see and go where you go 👍🙏
Wow Windsor is so pretty in the summer. We'd love the mural tour and all the gardens. Reminds us a lot of St. Pete! Really cool that they closed down part of the street to make extra dining room for the downtown restaurants. The selection of beers at the second brewery looked amazing. More often than not we end up with stouts and ipa's too. Someday we are going to have to go brewery hopping with you guys!!
Yes we definitely will need to go brewery hopping one day! It's definitely a great summer city to visit - not sure about winter... but one day I'll have to try. We liked all the restaurant options and everything was very walkable.
This is funny I literally live in Windsor LOL
We've only visited in late summer and really enjoyed it. Is there much to do during winter?
downtown is a pit of tweekers, freaks and junkies. There is nothi g to do in thia town besides drink. Windsor sucks.
Pat n hanks is always a good place to eat
Great Video! I'm from Windsor and live very near to the light house; right next door to it is The Harbour House which is the only restaurant we have that actually has a patio on the water, and fantastic food too.
Also if you cross the street from the light house the trail there will take you to the Ganachio trail which is over 10km of walkable trails, with beautiful forrest and wild life :)
I also suggest Ojibway Park, and the restaurants on Erie street, or little Italy as we know it.
Hello is it possible to get jobs here at Windsor?
Awesome suggestions of interesting sites to visit, activities to do, and food and drinks to try. Two thumbs up to your informative presentation!
Thanks very much! I appreciate it.
@@TheAverageTourist You're welcome. All the best!
Love love love.
so nice!! would love to go there!!
no you dont. i dunno how she managed to make this place look so good.
Welcome to Windsor, the best thing we have is that were close to another city.
Just stumbled on your channel and we love to connect with fellow travellers! What a super helpful list of things to do in Windsor! We have never been, but if we were to visit, we would use this list for sure! Beer Gardens and visiting the downtown are always fun things to do! Love your whole list! For sure saved :) Can't wait to see more! We subscribed as well!
Thanks so much for watching and the comment. I'll check out your channel too 😊
Just to let you know Windsor has some great pizza too if you ever come again since lock down is over I really like Sam's pizza by the university of Windsor 💙💜💙 oh and Jackson park is pretty too
I would love to follow the map of that street art - the pieces you showed looked great! I love that your videos always involve breweries 😄 Geronimo IPA was a great name for a beer!
My half brother he lives in Windsor three times I visit him & I am from Saskatoon it’s nice place close to Michigan.. and then I went with my friends to visit Detroit my cousin lives there and I wish to go back again but the pandemic is bad
I was sold as soon as the dinosaur sculptures showed up haha 😅 your presentation style is really good keep up the good work
Cute lil' dino sculpture! We do like to check out some street art... Wayne likes stouts and porters, but prefers IPAs... Cool to see the huge ship's wake... We really got into lighthouse hunting while in Maine last October!
Great video!
Thanks!
Canada is such a beautiful country that I want to visit one day. Your video is really informative. Glad to have you and our friend Uta in Canada. Would be easier for me when I get there. Keep doing your good videos.
It's a lovely country! I actually have to get out to Uta's province, I haven't been to British Columbia yet. Thanks so much, glad it was informative. 😊
Downtown reminds me of Mesa, and Gilbert AZ area. Looks nice. Like it
great video, cheers from Poland 👍etc
This is such a great list of things to do in Windsor. I love the Riverfront Trail and the art murals. That's so cool how there is a map showing you the locations of all the different street art. Of course I am all about trying the craft beer and food! I had no idea that you could drive to Detroit from Windsor...that would be a fun thing to do!
Thanks! It was a fun weekend and we liked that most of the attractions were located by the river. Yeah Detroit and Windsor are so close - next time I hope we can cross over.
Aapka Mobal nabr aapo
The food looks super delicious
It was!
Nice 🍀
Always HOME !
The sculpture park sense like an awesome place to go for a walk, you'd definitely find us there or one of the local craft breweries, we're just like you guys in that way already try to find a local brewery and a coffee roaster
Yes the sculpture park was pretty cool - I liked that it was by the river. And quite a few breweries to choose from! We could only get to 2 of them.
New to your channel. Thanks for this amazing video. I hope I will get there one day 😍
Thanks very much and glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I had no idea that it was the southernmost city in Canada. So pretty during the Summer, so much to do and see! They have such great street art too! I also didn't know about the international film festival that takes place there. So much to do there, hope we get to visit one day!
It was my first time ever visiting - so I'm not sure how the other seasons would be. I think summer is probably best for the river views and activities.
Actually, this is the only part of Canada that is literally south of the United States.
@@canuck33 - There are other portions of Canada that are located South of some of the 'contiguous' United States, but the vast majority of them are clearly focused to Southern Ontario to Eastern Ontario and extreme Southern Quebec because of the manner in which these regions extend and 'dig' to the SW. Extreme Southern Quebec, for example, is farther South than the Northern tier of Maine, as well as farther South of most of the extreme Northern states across the Western United States (such as North Dakota, and much of Minnesota or Montana), as well as being on par with and slightly farther South of extreme Northern Michigan.
Windsor, Ontario, however, is situated so much to the South that it surpasses the Southern extents of many states, being in line with central Iowa's latitude, for instance. Even farther South of Windsor is Leamington, and even more, an island in Lake Erie hugging the international border, called Middle Island (just South of Pelee Island, which is accessed by ferry from Leamington via Highway 77 South). The Southern tip of Middle Island would be, as far as I know, the most Southern point of Canada by land.

what a great place top visit!!! you've made me hungry now haha! i love art and this place had so many cool murals!!! i love it!! street art all the way! got to love e a good beer or brewery!! i would love to visit the lighthouse too!! great video :)
Windsor sounds like a great place to visit. Such amazing public art! Sculpture walk is such a cool feature. The food and beer scene looks really swell too. And I LOVE old lighthouses.
Thats just media, windsor is so boring after the first visit
Windsor does have some scary stuff and bad people there but there are some fun stuff to do there.
I know Windsor in UK but this is completely different 😉 Wonderful tour!
Yes this is a very different "Windsor"! Thanks :)
great video ! make more videos about Windsor - there are very few videos about Windsor
Thanks very much. Yes it's a great city but not too many videos.
This is great share. Give us an idea where to go whenever we will visit Windsor Ontario.
Awesome, glad it could be helpful.
What about visiting local wineries? Probably not open during pandemic but a great thing to do a wine tour when available
I went to a restaurant called Tunnel BBQ. The food was great. The price was reasonable. One of the best restaurants I went to. It’s too bad it closed down. Did anyone went to the restaurant.
My family always used to order from that restaurant
The food always was delicious
yeah I'm from Windsor I used to work at tunnel BBQ and the food was the best at that time
My family went there a couple of times. I actually work for the grandson of the owners who founded TBQ.
It’s called Tommy’s Bar-B-Q
OMG IM IN Windsor I swear I’m not your side the riverside thehe!!!💖
Ha you guys are just like us - can't leave town without stopping at the local brewery! Holy crap @4:00 that's a lot of beers! I love how you literally have to use a code to order it 😂Looks like a fun town! I loved the street art too
We just have to support the local breweries - you know, doing our part 😂 But yes - that might have been the most beers I've seen on tap in a Canadian brewery!
Woow cool environment, thanks for sharing.
Cool to check out dr disc
I need to take a trip there
You should!
You know I have been to Detroit several times and would always look over the river at Windsor but never went over (probably because I usually didn't have my passport). But this was nice to see Windsor from the inside instead of the outside looking in. I loved how the brewery changed things up for tastings during the pandemic. It has a nice seating area outside. Oh wow, the casino is closed. Has it been closed since March 2020?
Nothing really special here. The casino was closed, opened back up, and just closed again. But, it's always nice going down to the river on a nice, hot summer day.
Born and raised in the W... Good video but one thing ppl should know who visit Windsor is that it's famous for its pizza and prolly the best in North America and famous for our little Italy and better than any in Ontario and Canada
Oh good to know!! I think I'll need to go back when we aren't in a pandemic so I can give the pizza a try.
Did you know that Windsor was voted best pizza in the world 5 times in a row
Hope to go this summer! Hopefully we won't still be in lockdown!
Yes! I hope by then lockdowns are over. It's a nice area for a weekend getaway.
We won’t.
I was born and raised in Windsor and moved away back in 99. House and bought a house in Walkerville area. I live about 6 Hour Dr. away now
The Windsor area is pretty nice. It gets a bad rep but we enjoyed it
I might be moving to Windsor. Alittle nervous about going there.
I would be nervous too if I were you.
Good luck finding a job.
nice video keep it up. Love from Indian people
Thanks!
Wish to get a chance to live there 🙂
Thanks for listing out those for us. Is that green already with leaves on the trees in Ontario now? Will check them out when I get chance.
Oh no - we are still in the wintery/early spring here. This was from last summer.
Ah hooome!
I live an hour away from Windsor in the U.S I'm curious to see
My great uncle and great aunt own the harvest table
I think the backdrop is main reason for me to visit the sculpture park. I rather do the riverfront trail. I will not make my standard comment about breweries, of course that is covered here. A pity to see that the casino is closed, would be good to understand why you think this is a good visit, sounded like a standard casino. I would love to come when the International Film Festival is taking place.
I would certainly go for number 4. Looking for murals around the city is a great way to explore it. Also, number 6 looks great with the garden surrounding it. And, of course, number 8! I've never heard about floating fountains. Does it always stay at the same place?
All the others, of course, worth visiting as well 🙂
The mural hunting was fun - we found a lot by accident as well. Yes the fountain is always in that spot - but I'm not sure if they take it out for winter.
They remove it in the fall and put it back in the spring. This is the last year for the fountain as it is being replaced with a new one. Parts are no longer available being an old fountain.@@TheAverageTourist
Hi there .
What about housings ? What is the good area for living ? Any help would be appreciated.Housing costs etc.
