But when my favorite musicians began fusing "foreign music" into their repertoire, they have introduced me to an entire new line of music I never would have considered. blur were always on another level musically. all the casual pop rockers were really taken with oasis and their straight up and down song writing but what blur were doing was so much more interesting and cultured.

Songs like this remind me what an utterly brilliant songwriter he is. There's nobody who can come up with such beautifully sensitive melancholia as he can.
The creative musical mind of Damon is boundless, infinite, magical, incredible! As a Middle Eastern person, I'm so happy to see and listen to this, his music crosses borders, cultural barriers, and definitely remind us all that we are all united by our humanity. Damon is unique in every way as a musician, he is an original artists, a trend-setter, but above all his a human being with an open mind and with an awakened conscience. His support for the Palestinian cause and other humanitarian causes globally is another proof of how a great person he is outside of music, well cultured and aware of what's happening in the world. Simply, an incredible artist.

It was heart-warming for me too when I knew about it, but it's not a surprise as Damon always took a stance against war and imperialism, he was one of the most vocal critics from the music industry against the Iraq war and supported many social causes for minorities and disadvantaged people.
Not sure if I like Out of Time more than The Universal, feels like the older I'm getting the better Out of Time sounds to me. Yes, perhaps the best Blur song right there.
