I will in this case. That PPV wasn’t being sold on that one Bret vs Shawn match. To complete the story between Taker and Diesel, Diesel had to hit the jackknife before Taker pulled him under. With all that in mind, plus the fact that Nash was part of the Kliq, (you know how toxic those motherfuckers were in the lockeroom), I do not see how you can sit here and call Bret out on being selfish. Dude was just finally protecting himself a lil' bit.
Go ask Glenn Jacobs what happens when you're overly selfless & do, "what's best for business," all the time. You go from a dominant, well protected main eventer to a midcard jobber. Someone like Glenn Jacobs might be okay with that, but that doesn't mean Bret Hart had to be. He was within his right to put his foot down every now n' then for the sake of protecting himself. Undertaker himself stated you needed to have, "a little bit of asshole in you to survive the business."

@@sirnoname6943 It's about the context. He wasn't losing here. He was actually getting the win. However this was just a few weeks after Bret fought Undertaker at the Royal Rumble and took the Tombstone before Diesel interfered and a few weeks before he was about to drop the belt to Shawn at Mania. Even when he won the belt from Diesel in the first place he was immediately laid out. So really Bret was being made to look like a weak champ. That's five PPVs from Survivor Series where he won it to WrestleMania where he dropped it and three of those ended with either Bret on his back or someone saving him from getting beat. This would have made four of five PPVs. I don't blame him one bit for putting his foot down at some point. Bulldog at In Your House was the only one to put Bret over clean that entire title run.

@@ceasarsanchez9086 But if Hogan or Shawn made the same argument in the same situation, Bret would have been the first to call them out on it.
Whether he's Right or Wrong is down to opinion, but it doesn't change the fact that he's a shameless hypocrite.

Bro what are you talking about? Bret is known as a diva. Wanted everything handed to him. He is not the best there is the be there was or the best there ever will be. He is over rated. I can name 20 wrestlers just off the top of my had who are 10x the technical wrestler than Bret ever was.

@@SLURM187 Nope just stating facts. And the fact you think Nash wasn't more respected than Bret shows you know nothing. There was a lot of backstage shit on Bret like crying all the time, not wanting to help anyone unless it benefited him which resulted in the Montreal Screw job. Undertaker got in his face because he wouldn't take a Jack knife from Nash when Nash and Taker were feuding. Bret even tried to pull the same crap in WCW.
