I propose another video comparing the Wise debit card vs the very best of these travel credit cards. Wise should give a better effective exchange rate compared to the credit cards and on top of that travel credit cards normally charge an additional foreign transaction fee however travel credit cards usually give extra points for overseas transactions and you get other perks such as lounge visits. Would be interesting to see which gives the better value.
Wow great idea but then its comparing debit vs credit card, it might not an apple to apple comparison tho. Try checking out this video too: ruclips.net/video/qdh3wrKFpDg/видео.htmlsi=uSpsQmNaayC4vXDk
@@ZietInvests sure its not apple to apple. Iv been wondering about this too. Basically, we want to know whether using credit card overseas is worth more the benefits VS prepaid card or not. Considering the fees, charges, currency exchange --- with the rewards points/miles given back to us. OR is it better to save money on those fees and just go with prepaid card.
Hi david, thanks for the nice comment! The HSBC Visa Signature is a pretty solid choice for travelers, offering good rewards on overseas spending, air miles, and complimentary lounge access. When compared against other travel cards, it holds up well, especially if you're frequently jet-setting and can make the most of the benefits. Happy travels and happy spending!
As a doctor, would the hong leong bank visa infinite doctors edition be comparable to the cards of this list ? up to 3mil insurance, 4x access to lounges and rm 3.5 for 1 air miles for local and RM 2.2 for 1 air miles for overseas spend? and free annual fee for life, trying to decide between this and the rest on this list
Yes definitely as a doctor you can consider this card as it only takes RM4k monthly income to be eligible to sign up (it's really a bargain if you compare it to normal HLB visa infinite card which needs RM12.5k monthly income). In my opinion, if you also fly often with MAS, then you may consider this card too as you said the conversion is as low as RM2.2 to 1 Mile but it's for overseas spending. However, just note that the access to lounges is only MY and SG!
Yeppp, we definitely did research on Maybank 2 Cards Premier, however the reason we did not choose it is because there is no airport lounge access for this card. But if you don't mind having no airport lounge access then this card does have a good reward points system as you can earn 5x treatpoints for RM1 spent locally and it only takes 7 Points for 1 Air Mile.
Hi.. Need one help.. I am an Indian citizen travelling to malaysia next month.. how should I carry currency to malaysia so that I don't lose too much on exchanges.. I mean carry USD or SGD or directly buy MYR in India ( bit dfclt to get). Also, is it possible to pay in USDs in malaysia as my Forex card doesnt allow top up of MYR..
Hi Ziet, I'm a person that constantly use to subscribe online services that uses foreign currency (like how you subscribe Bloomberg and stuff), which entry level card would I choose but have some regular cashback perks on local spending?
RM 100k?!!! 👀👀👀 woah i cant advice on that, but personally i use MBB 2 card premiere for my business and i collect tons of points with it, maybe you wanna look at that
@@ZietInvests yea I sell stuff on e-commerce. So I do order alot from taobao. What about cimb travel world elite? Compare to mbb, which is better? The 1 with X10 bp and no foreign currency transaction charges

Hi, I'm looking for a travel credit card as my primary daily use as I want to collect air miles. If I travel, the flight tickets usually will be more than 4k, thus with air miles I hope I can use it. My salary is between 5.5k - 8.5k. which one would you suggest. Thank you
Hi, sorry if this is off topic. Is Interactive Brokers the best for option trader from Malaysia right now? are you still using IB? I just found out that webull not supported anymore.
I tried looking at it too.. to be honest the fees are quite high. Even the examples given are like for those really spend alot, say house loan 4-5k per month. Higher end car loans too. If you are on that spectrum of spenders, may be worth it?
if i dont really spend much(only monthly insurance around 200 and sometime grab top up) but i do work overseas and will have top buy air tix once every 3 month, will it better for me to get a travel credit card( CIMB Travel Platinum Credit Card in this case)or a cashback credit card(seldom even reach RM500)?
Hmmm, in your case it seems like a cashback would make more sense, but you can always lay them out side by side to compare all the benefits as they are essentially different thing (one has lounge access too, but not sure if you ever needed that tho)
I have this card. If intended primary use is ewallet, it’s ok, but with maximum 20k points. Topup 1667 ewallet every 28th of the month you already max out their 20k points.
what does it mean access plaza premium lounges..is it free to eat there or need to pay?because i saw some tiktokers they not pay for their meal at plaza premium lounges
Hello ~ its pretty simple, just login to your CIMB Clicks and you can check in the rewards/redeem section - another easier way is just call CIMB customer service, they will tell you everything you need to know!
