- A rough re-edit of a pivotal scene in Kingsglaive that should have focused less on the Glaive and more on the actual signing (Regis, Iedolas, Ravus, etc.) All rights reserved to their respective holders.
[I wish the audio mix was separated cleanly so I could re-edit the entire movie, but alas.]
This game needs a reboot with a playable invasion and it's original story
And the evil Yakuza Lucian Kings, alongside villain-protagonist Noctis and perpetual nighttime insomnia too.
In verum rex, I wonder if they are going to do something similar to this

1:06 Versus XIII is strong in this scene.
That story point was always going to happen, unfortunately, they took it out from the game. Numerous CG parts of the early trailers are in Kingsglaive instead of the final game.

@@deathnyx yeah that was underwhelming. It was so off handed that you can actually miss that it was him if you didn't follow the lore. Although Ardyn is a good villian, a secondary antagonist wouldn't have hurt the game.

The Question to be asked is: How great could a CGI Movie in a few years look like?
Maybe after 2025 or 2030?
Maybe more realistic looking
At this point they just might as well just hire real actors.
@@pedroxruz6032 nope, CGI is still quicker, you don't have to do multiple takes, you can get it to look exactly what you want it to look like without all the money needed for expensive cameras and the kit needed for the camera angles etc etc

@@LaurenceReeves Depends on the scene. Yes "shooting" the scene digitally can be quicker. But rendering, oh boi. It can take months for a few minute scene depending on what elements are involved.
Off-hand example: It is most certainly quicker to practically create fire, explosion or smoke effects rather than digitally render them in photorealism.
It’s still crazy to me that Luna in Kingsglaive is voiced by Cersei Lannister.
I think the original score captures the tone of this scene much better but as far as fan edits go this was very well done.
Omg, you made this scene better with Omnis Lacrima.

Dang all the KingsGlavies getting killed all over the place is just sad, they all worked together now they backstabbed one another.
Also the color of both the leaders wearing white and black, remains a lot of a game of chess, white makes its first move, black retaliate and all the pieces fall into place and the game ends with 1color standing. The first move makes the last move.
I never understood why the KingsGlavies betrayed one another.
@@II-df6dw They betrayed eachother because some of them felt backstabbed by King Regis. They thought that he had abandoned them for death, so they decided "Well. Fuck you." And killed their fellow Glaives.

Would love a different version of FFXV where Kingsglaive is a playable section like how Roxas' section in KH2 was like a tutorial part. Then would shift to Noctis story
3:26 is my favorite part, it capture the awesomeness of magitek army...
I really wish the kingsglaive soundtrack would have been more like this, it was so tame and subtle in comparison to what we would expect from FF. Not that I didn't like it but I wish it could have been more grand and had the opera stuff like this song
That's because John Graham maid the soundtrack, not Yoko Shimomura, composer of Omnis Lacrima.

What an amazing spectacle it was! That moment when I instantly recognized David Gant's voice - not knowing he's actually in cast - was a pleasant surprise (which also brought back sweet memories of his other famous CGI performance that is 'The Dark Sorcerer' demo).
Excellent movie, brilliant cast, and one helluva a stunner on so many levels (I mean, not just visually).
Sometimes I come back to this video just so I can be mad about how much better it is than the film itself. I really, really wish that they could just release the files to you and let you re-edit it. You could make it into the movie it should've been. God damn.
@@aharte17 a better idea would be to just mod this scene into the game, replacing that awful kingsglaive clip they've used (had no voices or sound effects lel).

The animation in this movie is astonishing.
As much as I love the game. I honestly wished Niffilhiem was more significant. Episode Promto did alot and episode Arenea was going to give more (untill cancellation). But for a very interesting evil faction I wanted more.
Tbh the empire gets talked about in the beginning some in the middle of the game & then never hear from them at the end since the world is at ruin with daemons

1:31 One thing that always bug me is that Insomnia doesn't have an entire army with modern weapons (firearms) to guard against Nifelheim. Even the crown guards do not have firearms. The Kingsglaive doesn't count as they were more like special forces and in small numbers.
I think those guys were just supposed to be some security guards

@@lordpigster That's what the Kingsglave's for. They have entire arsenals like magic crossbows, kantanas, spears. Insomnia deploys both Crownsgaurd and Kingsglave, the thing is Niffilhiem planned this attack to distract the glaive from being at the invasion and protect the city. They were in Nyx's words "baited".
The Crownsgaurd are bassicaly the police while the Kingsglave are their actual military.
That was something established in the project since its early conception (Versus). Lucis is focused on sorcery and magic but Niflheim since losing its crystal (at the time, each nation had its own crystal) decided to develop modern firearms and airships through technology.

Oh god I remember how emotionally devastated I was after playing this game. Thought about replaying it for a second and now I changed my mind.
As long as all of these scenes are in the original movie I dont really care about in which order they are potrayed as long as we can enjoy them all and not only half of it or so.

While for us yes that is the case, it seems that lore for this is the item is for a knock out, where as the spell life is for actual death.

I actually managed to swap the game's KG clip with this masterpiece. The only problem is the time limit of the clip the game uses remains (1:18m), so the new video doesn't play in full (there's a way to fix it).
Btw do you know what's the best possible way to convert an YT video? I did lazily just for testing.

If only the director who left the Versus 13 project stayed, the game would’ve been a huge hit. Just upgrade the CGI a bit more, develop the story, and put it for PS4 and other consoles. I mean XV is still good. Everything else is great just the story was lacking.
I feel changing the game from VsXIII to XV was the better choice overall. There was just nothing there in VsXIII in the first place, but they still revealed it when they didn’t even have a story.
Versus 13 is literally just 15 with the difference being the invasion of Insomnia and Noctis and the bros being there.

The history kill some many characters was a fast history without flavour I'm really dissapoibted with ff15 also they never did a single appearance of that white dog ( umbra and the other one )

Taking into account the next scene that will come after this, if I were the invader I wouldn't pulverize the place that I am invading because that will be a waste of assets. Just take down their leaders and destabilize the government before asserting complete usurpation.
To be fair, the only thing that the Nifs wanted in this was the Crystal which they already got and the Ring of the Lucii.
there were no assets for the Empire besides the Crystal, Lucii had no production lines neither technologies, just lots of people ruled by corrupt politicians who wanted to preserve status quo.

FFXV (FFvsXIII) must have been about war between Lucis and Niflhaim, not a road trip and prey on innocent animals. Square Enix fucked it all up.

First of all, it is. Secondly, The roadtrip parts were gonna be there from the beginning. They teased open world exploration all the way back in the Versus trailers.

the kings of Lucii were enslaved from the very foundation of their kingdom by the false gods, they were turned into puppets to follow the prophecy; the role of Regis was to surrender his kingdom so the prophecy could unfold. The world of ruin is kickstarted by the false gods when sacrifice of the Oracle is made to the Hydraean, then most of the livestock (humans) is reduced so the gods maintain control.
