What’s happening in this movie clip?
The city of Insomnia burns. The general tries to seal the ring away from Princess Lunafreya (Lena Headey). Nyx (Aaron Paul) reminds her of her duty to her Kingdom. He decides to wear the ring and convinces the ancient Kings of Lucis to use their magic to fight the armies of the Empire.
What’s the movie about?
The magical kingdom of Lucis is home to the world’s last remaining Crystal, and the menacing empire of Niflheim is determined to steal it. King Regis of Lucis (Sean Bean) commands an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive. Wielding their king's magic, Nyx Ulric (Aaron Paul) and his fellow glaives stand before the crown city of Insomnia, fighting to stay the inexorable advance of Niflheim's imperial army. As the overwhelming military might of the empire bears down, King Regis is faced with an impossible ultimatum - to marry his son, Prince Noctis to Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae (Lena Headey), captive of Niflheim, and surrender his lands to Niflheim rule. Although the king concedes, it becomes clear that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their devious goals, with only the Kingsglaive standing between them and world domination.

In the Final Fantasy XV DLC game Episode Ignis, Ignis referenced Nyx as the Glaive who was able to wield the ring of the Lucii. Ignis and Nyx are the only non-royal Lucians who were deemed worthy by the Kings of yore to wield the ring of the Lucii and access its powers
Remember, Jesse's using the ring to protect Cersei from danger.

i don't think so Nyx more badass cuz he has more experience and intelligent than noctis because nyx is 32 noctis 20 and lunafreya 24 but when noctis become older he thinks more mature and not think selfishly and at the and noctis became king of kings he sacrifed his life for his people and friends, for everyone

Yeah! Nyx wasn't a royal or something. He borrowed powers but he went all in and he shines with his pure genuine heart.

I don't know how it flew by square Enix that a nobody soldier with no royal ties forsake the words of men who pose themselves as kings and is more worthy then them to weild the powers of God and proceeded to settle with the actual protagonist of FFXV being a stereotypical Royal blooded chosen one.
It took one commoner soldier, a foreign immigrant to boot, to fully understand and do the necessary sacrifice
Doesn't mean Noctis didn't have to fight for his powers, suffer losses or struggle to get to sit on his throne, he lost just as much as Nyx did, if not more.

The kings here were talking shit. They knew if the niffs took the ring to Gralea Noctis would never lift the darkness. So they were in a position where they were forced to give Nyx their powers here.
