Holy toledo, Ashley is saying and doing almost exactly what I have said and done since the summer of 2020! I was stuck in the 150's and now maintain in the 120's. I credit fasting 18 to 23 hours a day most days, and incorporating a lot more nutrient dense fiber rich foods into my daily eating, as I have found each supports the other. I still eat unhealthy foods everyday, but have found that my body now craves certain foods like greens, legumes, nuts and fruit. Not only that but my blood work indicates I am super healthy, and I feel amazing, which is saying a lot being almost 50! At least in my personal experience, Ashley is spot on, and I love her delivery!! Yes, it is difficult at first, but I would not have been able to maintain this lifestyle and be happy if it hadn't become much easier! Our bodies are bundles of circadian rhythms so it's just some powerful habits I developed and easily maintain for almost three years now! You rock, Ashley! Thank you for spreading the word!

Six months after giving birth to my youngest, I started fasting in January 2023, eating once a day, a 23 hours fasting, i did this for 6 weeks straight, lost 11 pounds, which brought my weight back to 146lbs, I stopped for a while, 5 months later, in September I started again and 5 weeks later I lost 7 lbs, now I’m at 139lbs, 4 more lbs to lose.
I swear by fasting, it is the healthiest thing for the human body. I eventually plan on fasting not everyday for the rest of my life but as often. Fasting and praying Is the way to go.

I’m 62 and vegan for 7 years. I would advise you with regard to animal products to reconsider plant-based. Eating animal products clogs arteries. You cannot see your arteries and you cannot base what you think is happening to your arteries on your weight. There are many thin people who have clogged arteries and suffer heart attacks or strokes or heart failure, etc. Animal protein and fat take time to build up in the arteries. The effects are cumulative. By the time one is 40-50 years old, that is when the symptoms of clogged arteries begin, usually with high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol. Diabetes and kidney failure can also result from clogged arteries to the pancreas (diabetes) or kidneys. Dementia can also be caused by clogged arteries and blood vessels in the brain.

Thank you for this wonderful video. I’m 62 and vegan for 7 years. About 5 months ago, I started my high raw, high fruit journey. I’ve lost 25 pounds with 20 more to lose to get to my goal of 120. Recently, I started having cooked food on the weekends like vegan spaghetti. On those weekend days, I felt satisfied with one meal a day. On the weekdays with high fruit, I was always very hungry around 8pm. I would eat a meal and snacks until bedtime. A few pounds started to creep back up on me. This week I have been doing OMAD, eating a good breakfast which is really more like lunch foods and also eating fruit. I take about 1-2 hours to consume this food. Then I’m good for the rest of the day. Those few pounds dropped off also. So for 3 weeks I am going to continue with OMAD. I work from home also. All my life, it’s been hard for me to get up and not eat before going about my day. When I wake up, I feel the hungriest. So I am going to base my OMAD on eating within 2-3 hours of waking up in the mornings. Then just drinking herbal concoctions the rest of the day. This early eating helps me concentrate better while working. Also, I never liked eating late in the evening because I just got sleepy afterward AND had brain fog or felt distracted during the day from not eating or not eating enough. PS I though I’d mention that I read where a woman now in her late 90s was asked about her secret to longevity. She said she has only eaten one meal a day since she was 21.

I do tell my mom in the mornings "another day of starving", but I find it easier to just do one meal a day even with the hunger pains. I don't have the self control otherwise. I am having an issue stuffing myself, so I need to chill on that.... but like you said, it takes time to figure it out. I think I will get a saucer plate to put my food on to help from now on. I started omad 4 days ago after 1 week binge and i am obese and have high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes was on medication for pressure and kidneys and heart prevention but i decided against the doctors and heal myself with food and light excerise to help heal my body for the future to reverse my blood pressure and type 2 diabetes - ive loss 11 lbs so far in 4 days i'm drinking loads of water and herbal tea and planning amazing meals in the evening when i break my fast as evening work for my family better i'm eating clean low carb and colorful dishes i put out a mini buffet on each night so i dont feel like im missing out but its all healthy dishes like baked or steamed fish, lentils, chickpeas, salads, veggies and more so the family can choose want they want too and we all eat together just healthy i hope to continue until January when i have more tests to see how my body is with the diabetes and organs i hope to wow the doctors and change their opinions on what im doing.
When they see the weight loss how my pressure will reduce and my diabetes in remission i know there are risks but im willing to take them as i do not want to be on medications for the rest of my life. Thanks for reading my story x blessings and love to you and your family ❤

I can do OMAD at home, but not at work. I get shaky and dizzy at work if I don’t eat. My job is very physically demanding. On Fridays and Saturdays, I can eat one meal. At work I get about 20 minutes to eat lunch. This is amazing information and easy to follow.

It is diffenitly true that you will adjust to OMAD and you won't be hungry. I fell off the waggon after surgery but started Keto-vore for starters. I have the tools that I've learned. True, weight can be gained back and then some. Please adopt a lifestyle that works for you. I try staying low carb and don't count calories. I am in OMAD for a month now. I see some slimming now.

One of the best videos on OMAD. In the last three months i have gained weight and was looking for a video to help me stay motivated to start with OMAD. And this video is the one. Ashley your content is perfect for a re-starter of OMAD (that's me) after a long hiatus and your voice is also so soothing. Some other youtubers have very shrill voice which makes it difficult to listen to them.
Important take aways from this video " this is not your last meal 😊" and the first 5 days are difficult till my body starts becoming comfortable with 24 hours fasting.

Ashley, I'm so glad that I found your videos. thank you so much for this video! I lost over 140 pounds in total, but then I went ahead and put on 40 pounds. When I was eating OMAD I lost weight quickly and was keeping it off. I never worried about calories...not ever. When I went to two meals a day...I still didn't worry about calories and a light bulb just went off when you said that. I was eating more calories than I had been eating when on OMAD...duh...So, beginning today I will go back to OMAD and will begin in the evenings like I used to. So happy that I found your video.

Today I tried alternate day fasting. Didn’t make it. It turned into an OMAD day. I had my meal at 4 pm and since I don’t eat at night I won’t be eating again today. At 4pm is when I usually have my last of three meals a day. I did have my morning tea today with a little skimmed milk in it when I would normally have breakfast and I was fine until late afternoon. I noticed I got very cold without eating. When I ate at 4 I warmed up again. I didn’t move around much so it was likely my circulation. The 16:8 intermittent fasting didn’t work and neither did the alternate day fasting. OMAD I can do. It’s OMAD again tomorrow as I have got a lot of weight to lose. I do take a few supplements to round out my nutrition.

The no cream in my coffee has been the hardest part, but since I realized that just those two tbsp of creamer, while I always used the healthier version of creamer, was breaking my fasting state which is why fasting wasn’t working like it should have been for me. I just came off of a 50 hour water fast and on day 4 of black coffee with 1/4 tsp of DE powder and a dash of cinnamon . Now starts my OMAD journey where I am going to track my calories in an app and trying to stay within 1200-1500 calories. I have a very stubborn 30 pounds to drop so I’m hoping I reach my goal by or before summer! Happy OMAD guys and gals! 🙂

Do a 72 hour liquid fast. With water, electrolytes, vitamins. No Solids. No heavy exercise, if you are going to work out do something that is low impact and short, maybe a 20 minute yoga workout or 20 minutes on a stationary bike so that you don't over work your body. I've been doing it and have lost 8lbs so far.

I don't know if this would work with you, but... Low carb diet (NO keto)... Eat 20-30% of this macro. 40% of fats and 30% of protein.
It works for me. Other way is 50% carbs, 35% protein and 15% fat. All this with cardio exercise. "4 min hard and 1 min light" ... Ejemplo: You trot (?) 4 min, and walk 1 min... and repeat until you get 30 min or more.
      I hope I help you.

I’ve lost the most weight breastfeeding by eating 1 lb of meat a day along with omega 3 pills, magnesium zinc supplement, homemade tzatziki sauce on 3 eggs and my meat, kimchi (for probiotics), sardines or salmon and electrolyte packets with 12 cups of water. I use iodine salt and Himalayan pink salt on my food. Electrolytes need to stay higher for breastfeeding. The omega 3 pills help balance the omega 6s that are found in meat in eggs. Even in organic meat. I also eat seaweed and kale. No meat on Fridays. I keep it a low calorie day. If I get a craving I eat eggs in lard or ghee or eat ghee plain. Ghee has no lactic acid. High in vitamins. Great for baby’s brain :)

A good video with helpful information. I current utilize TMAD, which is two means a day under 1,800 calories total at a 900 calories per meal limit doing a 16:8 hour fasting window with two hours fasted cardio and weight bearing with stretching exercise everyday. My results have been quick, impressive and fantastic. I save lots of money on groceries doing it too. I feel healthier, lighter and look much better. I’m losing about 2%-3% of my body weight a week. It took me a long time to figure it out through trial and error but this strategy works great for me. Maybe others could try it too. Good luck to everybody in their fitness journey.

OMAD is a great approach ( I did it for just over 2500 days) but once you have reached your Ideal body weight I would advise you to do either 2MAD or opt for time restricted eating.
The research done by Dr Donald Layman swayed me towards opting out of OMAD in favour of being a little bit more flexible if resistance training is being done.
06:39 The more I ''''specifically'''' exercise, the more famished I get. 😂
Please factor in that it takes apx 5 hours for the stomach to fully empty. So only then should the fasting timer be started.
