Soaky Mountain Waterpark Review, Sevierville, TN | Tennessee's Best Water Park

- Soaky Mountain Waterpark is a fairly new water park in Sevierville, Tennessee. Located across from the Wilderness at the Smokies Resort, this park features two water coasters plus a series of other exciting slides. And many of those attractions utilize the hilly terrain! This is why I think it has now claimed the title as the best water park in Tennessee.

I will always appreciate this channel for taking the time to review water parks. I find that water parks are super underrated in the coaster community and that some water slides can provide better thrills than some coasters. This review in particular is clutch because I've got an upcoming trip to dollywood with a day I was looking to filling with a water park. I will be sure to check this place out because that slide lineup looks sick.
This or Splash Country are well worth visiting. It depends if you place more emphasis on slides or atmosphere which you should pick.
OMG FINELY SOMEONE IS DOING A REVIEW ON THIS PLACE (btw I know this was posted 10 months ago I’m just really excited no one ever talks about the place)
It's a fantastic water park.
Great review! I hate to be “that guy,” but as a local, we pronounce it as Suh-vear-vul (as in Severe weather) and Appa-LATCH-un Mountains.
Thank you! I'll try to remember that for next time.
Great review. Hoping to go here next year. Went to splash country last year…. Definitely have a great atmosphere there…. Unfortunately their water coaster was down when I was there. I have some little ones so I appreciate you reviewing that aspect as well. Great job. Love your channel.
Thank you! That's a bummer the water coaster was closed.
We are headed there next week. Thanks for the video.
Enjoy!
Tbh, that mat racer might be one of the best in the world. Anyone who hasn’t done it, don’t underestimate it. The part where the slides twist around each other is pure insanity. The first time I did it I flipped around and came out of the slide backwards. I think it was the blue one that did that to me, so if anybody wants the craziest ride, do that one.
I’ve done the same slide at other water parks and yep, the twists are wild.
I love how it throws the mat.
Awesome video! That park is really fun! But I can’t with the way you pronounce Sevierville 😭😂
Sorry about that!
Park opened the year covid hit. This is a really awesome looking Waterpark. Good luck to them. Great selection of waterslides. Love the name, it's neat.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm glad they've done well.
I just happened to drive by this place while in Tennessee and it looked dope. I’d love to go sometime
It's great.
Wow this park looks awesome… Rides and atmosphere mean a lot in a solid park… They really need more shade and trees in the park… I think I would still pick splash country over this for the time being… Maybe in about 10 years time there will be more trees and foliage throughout.
That's fair. Both parks are great.
60 degrees? What a Polar Bear. This Florida boy would be in a full wet suit.
Amen
Most slides and pools had heated water except for the water coasters.
Looks like a great waterpark. Wish there was a good park like this in Michigan, the closest large water park is michigans adventure which is around 3 hours. We have a very small one close but it is always packed and not worth waiting for
It is a great park.
I wanted to come here when I was in Tennessee last month, but it rained on the day we wanted to visit Dollywood's Splash Country, so we decided to visit Splash Country on the day we originally wanted to visit Soaky Mountain and save Soaky Mountain for a future visit when Wilderness at the Smokies completes their indoor waterpark expansion so we could stay at the resort and get the discounted admission as a result because we didn't want to go until it was done. Unfortunately it was a bad decision either way because it rained again when we were at Splash Country and this was even worst because this one came with lightning, and they said it would be clear all day. I hope thunderstorms aren't too common in the area because now I'll have to visit both waterparks again on a future trip rather than get one of them out of the way and only focus on the other.
Thunderstorms can definitely be an issue in summer with how humid it gets in Tennessee. On the bright side, they can clear the park out.
Would you recommend this park over Dollywoods water park or would you say they are comparable?
Both are great. This one has better slides, but Splash Country has the better atmosphere and still good slides.
Would you please do a Top 10 waterslides at Soaky Mountain?
I will make that in the future.
Did you make a ranking video yet on this park?
I will in the future.
Have you visited The Wilderness Resort/Waterpark in Sevierville? It’s one of my faves!
Also, great review as always!
I have not, but I'll look into it in the future.
@@CanobieCoaster I’d love to see a review! Apparently they’re adding a massive expansion that’s to be open in October of this year, so I’d maybe wait it out another year
I saw this when I was there 2 weeks ago but didn't get to go 😢
I had passed it a few times before giving it a go. Glad I tried it!
Would ypu say it's lineup is superior to holiday worlds
It's close. I miss how Holiday World doesn't have body slides. But the 1-2 punch of Wildebeest and Mammoth beats the 2 water coasters here combined.
10:36. Oh come on! Why can’t we see you wipeout?!?!?
Because it was not graceful
!!
Great park!
if you get 30k subs will you unlock the footage from the vault 🤣
Nope
Best water park in Tennessee? You’ve obviously never been to Nashville Shores! 😆
(Jk, don’t go there lol)
I almost went there, but they were weekend only when I was in town.
@@CanobieCoaster Ah. I grew up in Nashville. It’s an ok water park now that they’ve added a few good ProSlide slides the last couple years, but when I used to go it was just a couple old janky slides. Still, the other problems remain: poor sanitation compared to most other water parks I’ve been too, terrible food quality, terribly slow overall operations (took me over an hour to get lunch on my last visit), and to round it out it’s more expensive than Splash Country for significantly lower quality and a smaller slide collection lol. And it’s always so crowded that you’ll wait an hour for each slide, even the crappy ones. So there’s a Nashville Shores mini-review 😂
At least pronounce the name of the town correctly. I don’t think you’re actually been there
I've been there, but I'm not a local. Sorry for mispronouncing it.
