I'm from Poland but have been there because we had school trip there. This place was so fun to explore and I was surprised how beautiful it is. If anyone has a chance to get there I recommend it.
I also recommend going to " Therme Erding" also in Germany but in Bavaria. It has the biggest thermal bath area in the world and europes biggest water slide park. It is worth going there in any season (but summer or winter is best) but i recommend going there on working days, so resevations are not sold out and you have not big wating lines.
If i lived in Germany i would definitely come here on holiday. All the benefits of going somewhere tropical, without all the hassle of passports, airports, sitting for hours on a plane and maybe loosing your luggage.
As a proper night owl it warms my heart to see that the pool is open and accessible for guests to use even later in the evening. I'm not very used to opening hours that suit my cicadian rythm. Massive props to them for that. 👍🙂
@@WalkWithMeTim The two large pools are usually really open 24h a day (so also at night). The pools are only closed temporarily for cleaning after midnight, but not at a fixed time. And also then one pool might still be open (while the other one is closed).
Yes, that's really special, because for me the magic was in the night. There are really not many places, where you can go into the pool past midnight, and it's warm and pleasant and relaxing, great lighting, pleasant atmosphere (I think you hear quiet sounds coming out of the rainforest in the middle) and you can talk with your people, do the one or other slide. Ok, I think I was a lot younger back then, so it was of course awesome.
Same goes with Therme Erding, which is another huge indoor pool and waterpark near Munich, Germany. You can go for a swim until 11pm every day, and on Saturdays until midnight.
What a great overview Tim, I think that wasa really fair representation. A few comments as a Berliner: - we‘re all amazed it’s still going, everyone thought it would run out of money years ago. So please do go, people, that part of Germany needs the money badly. - I wouldn’t say it’s just outside Berlin. It’s a decent train ride and then I think they have a shuttle bus from the station. Definitely doable as a day trip from Berlin if you plan it from early morning to late evening. - Pity the high slides were shut, they were really fab. - The outdoor part is relatively new, I don’t remember that from my last visit. But it’s now standard to have year-round outdoor heated pools in water parks and pools here - closer to Berlin and much cheaper (and smaller) you have Turm in Oranienburg and Stadtbad Schöneberg, which also have outdoor winter pools. - For those who are fine with the European sauna culture, there’s a really good choices of saunas, you pay extra for access of course. - Finally, if you want some decent tea in your room, many branches of Edeka and Rewe in Berlin stock Twinings and other British teas.
This has to be one of the most awesome places I've seen water park wise! Something for everyone, hours of fun or relaxation. Your room was stunning. Thanks Tim, really enjoyed it!

Been to Germany, many, many times since a small kid in the 80's! Last time I went was to Hanover Spring of 2022. Maybe in Alaska? It doesn't make much sense except in cold climates, imo. Otherwise during the summer there are many other options for beaches and whatnot, and such an expensive facility to operate would need to be at or near capacity year round to pay its energy and maintenance bills. Canada for sure, near a big city. The UK already has a chain of resorts like this one called Centre Parcs.
This is about an hour from me in Berlin and I've never been. I've seen it from the train and even at a distance it looks huge. I didn't really know how it looked inside so this video was great!
Blimey Tim wouldn’t that been amazing if someone in Great Yarmouth thought about doing this in the area where the marina centre is as there is already a very Sandy beach in place . It would have been awesome and attract tourism from all over the uk and would help regenerate the town…

Canada for sure, near a big city. The UK already has a chain of resorts like this one called Centre Parcs.
How can you compare this to Centre parcs? 😂😂😂
This is about an hour from me in Berlin and I've never been. I've seen it from the train and even at a distance it looks huge. I didn't really know how it looked inside so this video was great!
Oh wow!
You get to travel to such amazing looking places!
Blimey Tim wouldn’t that been amazing if someone in Great Yarmouth thought about doing this in the area where the marina centre is as there is already a very Sandy beach in place . It would have been awesome and attract tourism from all over the uk and would help regenerate the town…
My thoughts exactly but would never happen its just to expensive
