Folks we were blessed we lived through one of the greatest era of games late 80’s 90’s and early 2000 … thank u for capturing that spirit of survival horror games we played with this video
As an 80's baby, I couldn't have said it better. I've been a gamer since the late 80's and been here ever since. I've seen the evolution games have gone through, experienced many great games solo, with my brothers/family and my best friends. And I am very grateful for it. And my love for games started because my angel, my mother: The person responsible for buying all of the game consoles me and my siblings had when we were kids. Because of her, we created so many golden moments/memories up in our room, gaming for hours together. In these modern times, even though me, my siblings and friends all grew up and became spread out because of adult life and that fact that I do most of my gaming solo in my own place now, I'll never forget those days and the great times we shared gaming together. 😊👍
blessed to have experienced these stories and these sounds and this art. cursed to have lived in a time where the emptiness and pain of it all hits in a way that can never fully be expressed.
I miss the 90s man lol. That era of gaming, mainly PS1, was in retrospect the best. Internet didn't really exist back then. If you wanted to beat Resident Evil or Silent Hill games you needed a guidebook or figure it out yourself. Word of mouth even. Those were the days. Thanks for bringing the sound of it back
Can't get back to my hometown. No work, people are leaving it. But everyday I accidentaly (may be not) recall moments from the past. And such music helps to soothe the pain of nostalgia.
@dmitry6911 Awww 🤗🤗 I'm alright thanks. Be well & all the best. Remember, you did sacrifice your hometown but you're living a decent life & got that opportunity.
Silent Hill franchise its great, my favorite its Silent Hill 3, damn i had so many amazing and scary moments with it. That line ''they look like monsters to you ?'' has stick with me to this day, i get chills every time i think of that game, what a work of art that was ! This music brings me back to those days, so haunting and nostalgic at the same time ! Nice work !
The 50's had great rock'n'roll energy, the 70's had great rock bands who made 10 minute songs, the 90's had awesome experimental and dark bands, and now the 20's have talented bedroom artists who can create a better version of soundtracks to games made in the noughties.
Doing my final undergrad paper right now and this has been my only tether to sanity for the past two days and nights. I'm so thankful I found your account. Not sure what it is about Silent Hill... I didn't have it as a kid (had RE1 and Parasite Eve on the PS2 and PS3 instead thanks to my dad) but something about the music and atmosphere calls to me... You've encapsulated it so well. Anyways, time to churn out as much words as I can before it hits 2 am.
So Atmospheric, So Ethereal. With the soft echoes and chimes every now and then, You can almost 'hear' the mist and fog in this one. I've heard many Silent Hill inspired tracks, and there aren't too many that are as special as this one. Could easily pass for true Gallery/Main Menu/Save Room music in a Silent Hill game. Midwich Music you have outdone yourself with this one
i love all of your videos so much, i constantly have them playing while im vibing or working on something around the house. i would love to see some amnesia or outlast inspired ambiance in the future! (tbh tho idk what that would even sound like)
I would really like to see a follow up, of some kind of Origins. The cameo appearance of Travis from Homecoming; made me believe he was still being haunted by his past and felt troubled about the fate of Alessa. The idea could be centered around the fact Travis, returned to Silent Hill a few times to try and figure out exactly what makes the town and demon tick. It would help bring the series back to it's roots by re-introduction of the characters as well as Cheryl being the key to close the curse.
I can't either. Maybe it's just the lack of dopamine, nothing is really so wrong...just gotta have faith. That's all I've got, gotta keep pushing forward.
Well, look at you: you made it! The hell you've put yourself through is now over, and the reward is yours. No more dull sullen days, no more nightmares, and no more aches. And no more self-help courses too, haha. It was such a rollercoaster for us to watch you wade through this bog of life. And the moments when you were... about to break... were especially horrible. And inspiring too! Younger girls would even cover their mouths in horror, and others would freeze and forget to blink. But then a new day would come, and a new sun would rise, and you would laugh like a madman at all your sorrows, and we would laugh with you too. The Producer would even send you a bunch of complimentary gifts, like a really pretty girl walking down your street or make the waitress serve you a splendid tasty breakfast in that Chinese restaurant on a fresh spring morning. And then you'd go on, up and down, through storms and serenity... So, now you're here, and you probably don't wanna hear any more of these old man's ravings and pat-on-shoulders, huh? Hehe. Well... You can go now. Dear lord, after all these years... The freedom is yours.
In the realm of Silent Hill, where the mist veils the sun and the streets whisper tales of the unseen, there lies a paradoxical sanctuary. Its ambiance, marked by the haunting melodies that drift through the air, invites not just fear but an unexpected solace. This town, shrouded in mystery and cloaked in an eternal twilight, resonates deeply with souls adrift, like a lighthouse to the lost at sea. You, a wanderer in a foreign land, carrying the weight of past failures and the solitude of an outsider, find an echo of your own heart in the melancholic strains of Silent Hill's music. It is not merely the desire to hide behind the fog or to disappear within the town's obscured alleyways. Rather, it is the allure of a place where your solitude is understood, where the shadows and silence offer a reprieve from a world that seems perpetually out of reach. The music of Silent Hill, with its haunting melodies and somber tones, speaks a language of the soul that transcends mere fear. It articulates the beauty found in desolation, the peace that can be discovered within chaos. In its compositions, there is an acknowledgment of suffering and loss, yet also a promise of redemption and understanding. This duality mirrors your own journey-seeking solace in the embrace of a place that reflects the complexity of your emotions, where the very elements that might inspire dread also offer a profound sense of belonging. In the mist and the muted light of Silent Hill, you find a metaphor for your own existence. The fog that obscures the path ahead is akin to the uncertainty of your own future, a visual representation of the internal maelstrom that clouds your heart. Yet, within this concealment, there is safety-a permission to exist away from prying eyes, to explore the depths of your being without the glare of judgment. The comfort you find in Silent Hill and its music is a testament to the human capacity to find beauty and peace in the most unexpected places. It is a reminder that even in moments of profound isolation or when we perceive ourselves as outsiders, there are still realms, both real and imagined, where our spirits can find refuge. Silent Hill, with its haunting landscapes and melodies, becomes a sanctuary not because it offers an escape from reality but because it mirrors the complexities of the human experience-embracing the beauty in sorrow, the light in the darkness, and the hope that lies in the heart of despair. Thus, in the echoing chords of Silent Hill's music and the ethereal beauty of its fog-laden streets, you discover not a place to hide but a space to reflect, to heal, and to be understood. It is a realm where the soul, in all its intricacies, can roam freely, finding comfort in the shadows and solace in the silence.
LMAO! I WAS LIKE “why aren’t they moving like what’s taking them so long” and then realized it was for the music after reading the videos title again 😂
Hello, I think the work you do to achieve an atmosphere similar to Silent Hill is great. I'm thinking of making a video, and I was wondering if it would be possible to use your background music, giving you credit and putting a link to your channel in the description, if it's not a bother. If not, that's okay, I'll continue supporting your channel!
