I first discovered you guys sailing. Sailing the world was a dream of mine when I was younger. Been a sub for a year or so. Looking back on these earlier vids has been fun. Love you guys.😊👍✌
Neat look at the little towns and tourist traps without the glossy filters and postcard views. There's a lot of drudgery to road trips... exit ramps, gas stations and overcast days in between charming coffee shops and hidden waterfalls. As always, you guys did a great job of conveying the full experience, from the unexpected costs (Airtram, island ferry) to the great little moments like bears foraging in parking lots. Thanks for taking us along... each video makes me itchy to get out on the road and explore!
40 years ago, my husband and I drove up to Vancouver from Los Angeles for our honeymoon. My heart jumped when I saw the Peace Arch. He took a picture of his young bride there so many years ago. ❤️
I did the exact same thing with my girlfriend in 1980 - Los Angeles to Vancouver - Sunshine all the way up thru Oregon and Washington and the second we crossed into British Columbia , RAIN . Fun times !
over the summer spent a week doing a loop of Vancouver island and it was incredible. trails to hike, nice small towns, friendly people and beaches with no one around. really a great hidden gem.
I don't understand why you guys don't have more subscribers. Your video production values are fantastic and informative. Maybe you don't have enough drama... like other RUclipsrs. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed this. You did a great job documenting your trip. There is a lot of useful information here for anyone who wants to follow in your tracks. Thanks for taking us along. Happy Trails!
I just got back from Alaska on Aug 23 I drove up the Al-CAN highway from start to finish. this was the longest drive I ever did I saw a lot and did a lot. I took the Denali bus tour, and the helicopter flight to the glacier..THAT IS A MUST!!! I came back and went down highway 37 that was the longest highway I have ever been on,stayed at Prince George and then drove back home.. I was tied up for about 15-30 minutes ,at the alder grove crossing I had to explain twice why I was in Canada, and for how long. The next time Igo up I'm going to take the ferry to Skagway, then the train ride, and go dome the Keni Pensula It was a great trip and a lot of fun hope to do it again some day
I've been watching you guys for a year now and I'm obsessed. I love your beautiful personalities. Thank you for sharing your adventures. It's very inspiring. Stay safe.
I've been following you lovely people for a few years now and it was so exciting to see you traveling through my neck of the woods! I'm BC born and raised, and living there still. My husband is now retired from the RCMP and we are living part time in our TT with our 13 year old son (last of 5), 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon. You drove right past our trapline in this video's time span, on the Cassiar Highway, then through several towns we have lived in over the 25 years of my husband's years as a Mountie. Smithers was our favourite. (Just a note- You have the town of Burns Lake listed as Prince George in the video.) We lived 3 years in Lytton and NEVER went on the tram at Hell's Gate ($$). I love that you took in a tiny part of Vancouver Island and encourage you to sail on up! I grew up in Campbell River and know the Island so well. There are so many wonderful places to see on the Island alone, let alone the rest of BC! Tofino and Ucluelet, Telegraph Cove, Quadra and Cortes Islands (perfect for the boat!) Another note to fellow RVers...From June 1st to the end of September, BC Ferries has a reduced rate on longer lengths like RVs. It's way cheaper to take one of the routes listed on their website. We take our TT over and back using these sailings and save so much. Anyways, loved the video, love the new adventure on the high seas and am looking forward to watching it all unfold. -Sue
I've been on the route you guys took! Spent some time In Hyder/Steward and Smithers last year and you videos inspire me to go again. Love your videos guys.. thank you!
We have just returned from Alaska, Ketchikan and British Columbia on a cruise. Wish I had discovered your videos before. Love the video's keep up the great work and hope to see you guy's on the road one day. It's 102' degrees in Dallas today. Wish we were there. By for now.
From a Canadian (me) I enjoyed your travelogue with great pictures of the scenery. And you two have a heakthy travel attitude. Having travelled to many of the remote parts of the world, I now live in IndoChina, I recommend you take out ALL your goodies such as air pumps, instant inflators and electronics and familiarise yourselves with their operation AND make sure they work OK
I like the way you guys did this - your video is excellent, professionally composed and you both seem very cool - your wife is nice and comes across like normal people - it was fascinating please do more
I'm watching this at 3;00am and drooling every time you guys stop for snacks. Now I am hungry and not sleepy. It was a fun video. Vancouver has our favorite Chinese restaurant, with pulled noodles.
Amazing wood carvings in Hope! Thank you for another wonderful video. I don't know what I'll do when you move to a boat. Certainly I'll continue to follow you then, but, as an aspiring RVer, they won't have quite the same must-see aspect to them that these do. I wish you well in your future adventures on the water, but I intend to savor all your remaining RVing videos all the more. :-)
Sweet video! We loved all the Alaska videos (and all your videos) but this one was really good. We are from Vancouver Island and just moved to China last month. So it was really cool to see the old home through new eyes. Thanks!
Just watched some of your vids ,what an absolutely beautiful country you have ,so big ,us,Canada, alaska, what a tour, you make a lovely couple ,thank you for sharing
Glad to see you guys came to Victoria. Shame you did not stay longer or went to pacific rim park. Canada is pricy but we are high quality pricy. Maybe you can visit with that catamaran after you see the South Pacific. The salt spring islands and desolation sound are magical. And then there is Alaska by water. Enchanting.
That Peace Arch crossing back into the U.S. Is always a wild card. I've crossed it many times, and they are WAY stricter than the Canada side. At least you got to keep your booze!! 😄
your doing what i well be doing in a bout a yr. took notes and well have some idea were to camp when i do get there thanks for your trip i well be in a a liner and doing boondocking only
Thanks for this video. It answered a whole bunch of questions about crossing borders. Haven't done that. I'm arming myself to let my hubby know that traveling isn't such a hard thing. I'm trying hard to talk him into an RV.
I just understand one thing for me America is most beautiful country on earth i was spend my 3 year in America that was my golden days which i spent in USA great country always respect and love from Pakistan
I remember when Boise Idaho rolled up the sidewalks in the 70’s. Now it’s 24 hours. My family crossed the border 1960. Coming from Idaho to Alaska. We came back to Idaho. Job wasn’t what my dad wanted. He was an engineer for the State Highway Dept.
Have crossed the border many times and the Blaine crossing back into USA is the worst. The first couple times you go you figure going into Canada will be tough and coming home is easy, Quickly find out it is the opposite.
I was waiting to see if you'd make a quick stop west of Hope. Just off the highway is a SPECTACULAR waterfall, Bridal Veil Falls. Come on back and have a look some time!
You are right, in the spring and early summer the river is "threatening." Every time I was around it, I expected to see some kind of body floating down. My son and I camped very close to the old bridge you were on. That bridge is used in a lot of movie shoots.
Sad to see you guys leave but glad you had a great time. All the best with the next adventures. I can't wait to see what you get up to with your sailing trips and all that. I've always wanted to try sailing (land-locked in Calgary doesn't help!) so look forward to watching the episodes. Cheers.
Agricultural controls are designed to stop pests, molds, pathogens from crossing borders and contaminating a nations crops. It is necessary and expected... when you cross borders.
Watched all your sailing videos so had to watch some of your RV adventures. Was pleased to see you got to my island!! You guys need to sail here, Van Isle has some Amazing beaches!!! In particular Pachena Bay and Cape Scott and anything off Ucluelet and Tofino which i know you two will fall in love with! Also come up the Alberni inlet and check out my little town Port Alberni, so much hiking and outdoor rec here plus amazing summer weather and we have the most unique Moroccan restaurant on a tug boat called the Swept Away Inn, which is also a B&B.
Smithers has awesome steelhead fishing, I like the store surplus herbys in prince George, and the food trucks in Vancouver are awesome, and yes Vancouver Island you need a couple of months to tour it, its Beautiful B.C STANDS FOR BRING CASH!
If it makes you feel better.... Not. Same thing happened at the smaller Abbotsford border heading into CND on our start of our trip to AK. They took all our frozen chicken including an awesome whole chicken from WI, all the rooted veggies - potatoes, sweet potatoes etc, all pitted fruit, two bags of cherries, & two dozen eggs ( although cooked would have been OK). Sucks! The worst is (as you said) it is such a waste! Can't any of this donated to a rescue mission before you cross? If only we could actually find out ... Like you said, it changes constantly.
And everyone knows we grow citrus fruit and avocados in Canada .... they probably all came from Florida or California to start with. Potatoes, tomatoes, apples and other root vegetables I can see ... but not citrus. This was with the US customs, not Canadian customs.
Barry R. Brown, potatoes are root vegetables. Tomatoes grow above the ground on a vine and apples grow on a tree. It's a stupid law to begin with...I could see if they wanted to inspect for drugs or alcohol, but food? Spare me.
Over the past 30 years, I've come through that same border crossing the other way many, many times with groceries from Bellingham. Never been stopped or had any foods confiscated.
The Peach Arch crossing is one of the locations where they film the reality TV show Border Security. Very very picky there, and also the truck crossing at Pacific Highway is picky also. Its best to not take anything across.
I am a US citizen and lived and worked in BC, Williams Lake area for awhile. I crossed back and forth a few times. The US was always the worst about interrogation what you have as compared to Canada. But I will say I never once had to give up or get rid of anything I had with me. But I was only ever driving a pickup and pulling an enclosed cargo trailer. Not an RV.
Hell's Gate is a must do in my opinion $ well spent. First time passed on it for same reasons you mentioned, but stopped 2 times since and really enjoyed ourselves. History there is incredible. Salmon Locks, dragging boats up river by hand and more.
Hello guys, i'm from Indonesia and i really like this video, alaska is very beautiful ,perfect place to visit when holiday is coming 🙏😁 .greet from Indonesia 🙏
Hey there Wynn's, Can't believe that you went to Hyder, a very good family friend lives there and was hoping you two would go in the bar in Steuart because if you play pool there's a table that's half in Canada half in USA to bad you missed it maybe next time !!! 😊 As always travel safe !!! Love you both ! 😊
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Your excellent videos are inspiring me while I get ready for a six-week trip through the Rockies, the national parks and wherever else the road takes us. I think I'll be having lots more fun this year, following your examples of taking the time to do every worthwhile curious thing along the way. I've been enoying the whole trip with you. You've run, rafted, fished, hiked and eaten your North and South. We've done Alaska in an RV, much as you have and our experience was very similarly wonderful but I didn't take enough pictures. I'm sure enjoying yours. We've also spent an astounding summer on the California coast and mountains in our motorhome. On a prefious summer we had ridden on a Goldwing, camping coast to coast, from Prince Edward Island to the tip of Baja. This spring my husband and I have shared the adventure of designing and building a heavy-duty winch-driven motorcycle lift /carrier from ideas we've gotten on Utube and with the help of a friend who is an expert welder. This summer we will be carrying a big bike on the back of our excellent 99 Bounder 28', which we bought on Ebay last spring for a song. We've had to tweak our lift's design many times to get it just right. We've also reenforced the chassis so it would safely carry the load without a mishap. Now, a month before our next trip North, the lift is on our Bounder ready to go. It looks stong and well balanced, like it could make our upcoming 10,000 mile trip. The bike looks amazing mounted up there on the back and our Bounder does too! We love it and the freedom it represents to us! I live in Mexico and cross the border several times per year. I recommend crossing all US Borders with no fresh vegetables, fruit nor raw meat at all. Lying is not smart nor is it worthwhile, because most border patrol officers have no sense of humor on the job. In an RV, you are very likely to have your vehicle searched and you could seriously be fined for telling a lie. Besides, its easy to plan your meals to have an almost empty fridge at the crucial moment and you can always stop on the other side, North or South, at the next super-store on the road. Of course crossing from BC to Alaska, the pickings will be slim and expensive but always do-able. We greatly appreciate your showing us what to do in case of a flat tire in the middle of no-where. The windshield incident was unfortunate but typical. We've had it happen twice and both times had the crack drilled and glued before it could run down the glass. Congrats on your fairly cool-headed engenuity and resourcefulness. You both handled it like pro's. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks again.
I keep falling more n more in love with Alaska. When the time comes my wife and I would like to follow in your footsteps. Just amazing.......... Bummer about the food "getting tossed" thing. The boarder ppl probably keep it for themselves lol...but at the very least they should donate the goods seized to a local food pantry or the likes. At least that way my mindset would be in less of a bummer mode.
It goes straight to garbage, as it can't enter the US. The Canadian border folks could not care less. Don't underestimate the stupidity of civil servants.
Great video! Alaska will be a must do on our list...very very beautiful. Love all you videos in general and especially Alaska. The paddle boarding through the icebergs looked amazing. I'm not a huge drinker, not implying you guys are lol...but that chipped ice idea was perfect!
I first discovered you guys sailing. Sailing the world was a dream of mine when I was younger. Been a sub for a year or so. Looking back on these earlier vids has been fun. Love you guys.😊👍✌

U'R are Loved x 10!
We went up to that area last summer and rented an rv. we loved it so much that we bought one and go camping all the time now. We want to go back.
B.C. is definitely worth the trip. So much to see, especially the yummy pie.
We visited Victoria and flew to Seattle on Kenmore Air floatplanes for a day trip. A tour of the Boeing plant was fantastic.
I don't understand why you guys don't have more subscribers. Your video production values are fantastic and informative. Maybe you don't have enough drama... like other RUclipsrs. Keep up the good work.

There should be some sort of travel video award for you two.
Canada is heaven on earth for sure.. I'm so driving to alaska next summer from fort nelson 😍
Thanks for sharing a wonderful journey with us ..

Totally enjoyed the coverage on par with you. You have provided the content with all the enthusiasm at your command
Looks like you've had an awesome time! Can't wait for seeing the vids of your next big adventure!
Great series! Looking forward to your summer adventures this year. Should be extra exciting!
This was an amazing series. I can't wait for my turn, next year.
Thank you so much for this!!
Thanks very much for sharing your adventure with us. I'm a little sad myself that it's over. It was a great trip and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks again
thanks for the entire alaska series. i'm glad you were able to see some of the nicest parts of canada on your trip.
Very entertaining and informative. Thank you so much for posting.
Great series. Are you planning an "Alaska Bound 18: Overview" to discuss your overall experience, tips, etc?
Just watched some of your vids ,what an absolutely beautiful country you have ,so big ,us,Canada, alaska, what a tour, you make a lovely couple ,thank you for sharing

Vancouver Island is about the size of Ireland so it's no surprise that 24 hours was not enough.
Wow, didn't know it was so big!
Did you ever consider looking at a map of BC?
Enjoyed going with you through Alaska and Canada! Great videos!
I envy your youthful enthusiasm!
Nice adventure
man! you two really know how to live! thanks!

Why opposite is it easy to go in Canada and coming in USA is hard? if so USA should change that attitude soon.
@@FaadumoArdo that changed after 911, most of us dont even bother to go south anymore not even across the line . sad but true
LOVE the shot of the cats watching the bear!!
I was waiting to see if you'd make a quick stop west of Hope. Just off the highway is a SPECTACULAR waterfall, Bridal Veil Falls. Come on back and have a look some time!
been a great summer adventure for you all and enjoyed watching your stories
Bewildered trip
loved the way the cats quietly looked at the bear, welcome to BC.
yeah...maybe they have a union thing that says theyre not part of its diet.
I"m glad they didn't jump or fall out. Need to keep the screen closed.
You are right, in the spring and early summer the river is "threatening." Every time I was around it, I expected to see some kind of body floating down. My son and I camped very close to the old bridge you were on. That bridge is used in a lot of movie shoots.

Beautiful countryside views, amazingly breathtaking. Thanks for sharing. I'm a few years late :)
Better late than never! Thanks for joining the party.

Enjoyable to watch! Thanks for the tour! 👍💯
looks like you had a great time in my backyard! Chilliwack BC here 😊
lots of good info. I loved Abbotsford, too. Nice town.
If it makes you feel better.... Not. Same thing happened at the smaller Abbotsford border heading into CND on our start of our trip to AK. This series was amazing guys !
You guy make me smile
We were in Victoria and Vancouver the same time as you guys. We had also been to Alaska but we did the cruise.
And everyone knows we grow citrus fruit and avocados in Canada .... they probably all came from Florida or California to start with. Potatoes, tomatoes, apples and other root vegetables I can see ... but not citrus. This was with the US customs, not Canadian customs.
Spot on, it's just USDA catering to the very powerful agri-food industry, which does a very good job on its own of making US people sick.
The US Border Guards want to make sure good food does not make it back to USA. Govt can't risk food riots in America.
Bruno must not understand the previous Mad Cow problem?
Bruno Sterckeman, you got that right.
Never been stopped or had any foods confiscated.
their $30 or $40 worth seems like a lot of produce for an RV - unless they are vegans. They also ask about fireworks which everyone lies about.
Welcome Back! Lol. Thanks for all the great videos.
These videos are so much better than the boat ones.
That was fun. I liked the cats watching the bear...as if.
The Peach Arch crossing is one of the locations where they film the reality TV show Border Security. Very very picky there, and also the truck crossing at Pacific Highway is picky also. Its best to not take anything across.
You guys are amazing!
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE the Blue Moose. We try to make it a pit stop on every trip between Kelowna & Vancouver

I think that includes the buffet. I live only 20 miles from there and it's awesome. And Hope, my home for 16 years. The Blue Moose, yep great coffee.
Hello guys, i'm from Indonesia and i really like this video, alaska is very beautiful ,perfect place to visit when holiday is coming 🙏😁 .greet from Indonesia 🙏
I love you guys ! I am trying to convince my boyfriend that this is the life for us! It is so amazing! Thank you for the videos!
YOUR LOGO is brilliant! enjoyed this!
The cats staring intently out the window at the bear is hilarious. Love it.
glad Jason is back

ChiTownRaider75 that is exactly what they do
Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Another great video, Thanks !
Great video! Alaska will be a must do on our list...very very beautiful. Love all you videos in general and especially Alaska. The paddle boarding through the icebergs looked amazing. I'm not a huge drinker, not implying you guys are lol...but that chipped ice idea was perfect!
The first two clips of Prince George is actually Burns Lake.
Oh man, you guys missed so much! Still enjoyed seeing some of my old stomping grounds tho!
U guys are chill. Love all the stuff u did and how u cut cost.... Beer price u didn't say
beer in Canada is expensive. A case of 24 is about $35-$40 unless you buy off brands, imports like Corona, Hienie etc is more.
