A Couple of Quick Notes:
Carl missed taking the occupied token on his last play (which is worth an extra 2 points, whether you use it or not, due to the Theater), and you DO count the points on blue cards if you don't use the abilities during the game (so +3 points from the Courthouse).

Just so you know, Shopkeeper does not get a berry for itself. Also, points on cards like the Courthouse DO count at the end.
At leas that's how regular Everdell works, unless they specifically changed that for Duo, which I doubt.

I love Everdell and this looks like a great addition to our ever-growing board game collection. We love cooperative games, even if we struggle (looking at you Sky Team). Thank you for this play through, and have a wonderful time at Gen Con!

Duo looks like it's still very much the Everdell I love at it's heart, but with enough interesting twists to feel like a different game.
I really like the sun & moon mechanic, it's a cool way to limit actions and make you time your moves.
Yes! And you cans also just draw a card and choose to move the sun OR moon which makes a very interesting tactic for blocking your opponent in competitive mode!
Thanks for the video. Are there any additional mechanics in the competitive mode or is it "just" plain Everdell. Like you we have the complete collection, but for a quick 2 player game we play it on the iPhone.

Are you sure you do not get to keep/count the 3 points on the courthouse? In regular Everdell I've always understood the card (clock tower in that case) to mean that they are real points, but that you have to make the call of whether to keep the points or spend them for the effect.
Yep! We do get to keep those. I realized afterwards. I mentioned it in the caption as well 😊
