Driving Bel Air on Wednesday.

Together with Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills, Bel Air forms the Platinum Triangle of Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Along with Beverly Hills and the Los Angeles community of Brentwood, Bel Air is part of a high-priced area on the Westside known as the "three Bs."
Television shows and films have been filmed in Bel Air, or are said to take place in the community. Exterior shots for the Beverly Hillbillies were shot in and around 750 Bel Air Road,[38] built by Lynn Atkinson (and later sold to hotelier Arnold Kirkeby after Atkinson's wife refused to move into a house she thought too ostentatious). Several scenes in the film "Get Hard" (2015) were set in Bel Air. Exterior scenes from films such as Get Shorty (1995) have also been filmed in the area.[citation needed] Several episodes of the television show The Rockford Files were filmed in Bel Air.
The television sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starring actor and rapper Will Smith, was set in the neighborhood, although the exterior shots used were filmed in nearby Brentwood.

@@Omwvlog Up in the hills not really. I worked a valet job and was in Beverley Hills, Bellaire, Mulholland, etc and that's how I remember it. I'd like to see Ventura Blvd through the Valley, end to end. I lived in Woodland Hills, but took a bus to Sherman Oaks daily.
Lovely day for a drive. I find it fascinating how the landscape changes. One area with perfect landscaping and trees that look like lollipops to a totally laid back view that any city could boast with homes from the 70's. Great drive. Thank you. GOD bless
Thanks Susan! Yah the landscape definitely changes from area to area. Bel Air is a lot bigger than I had expected while driving. I can't imagine how big some of these homes really are!

Would you say that LA and the surrounding areas aren't as popular as they use to be. I can only imagine what they were like in the 80's and 90's (my era of my youth, teenage years)
I'd say its grown so much since the 80s. the population of California in 1980 was just under 24 million. In 2020 it was just under 40 million. I think LA will always be popular. Thanks for watching!

Nowhere is perfect. Hence creators like this show the unvarnished truth, not what social media and mainstream media want us to see. Perfection is an illusion.
There are no potholes. However, I think the rough appearance is due to constant low grade earthquakes. Even some of the driveways in LA have a splintered look to them because fixing it is completely futile.
In regards to streets in LA, you'll lose many a night's sleep worrying about perfection. You need a new hobby.

I think there was some type of city maintenance or something going on because I do remember seeing work trucks and people in a particular area

to me it looks like Bel Air is a boring place to be..nothing going on and everything is hidden...I think Beverly hills would be much more fun place to be with more sights....I would pick Beverly Hills over Bel Air as my place to live...In a fantasy world...😁💲💲💲
Yah it definitely is a secluded private residential area with not much to do. There is the Bel Air Hotel and country club that is popular with the residents and celebrities.
Unfortunately, most of the awesome homes in Bel Air are hidden behind hedges and fences.

The roads don't look "perfect" like they appear on television and in films. How do they make the streets' pavement look even, uniform in color, stain-free, pothole and crack-free?
In MDLLA, the Joshes are always driving around the Bird Streets and maybe it's me, but the actual streets always look as fancy and flawless as the multi -million dollar listings. I'm surprised to learn that the super wealthy neighborhoods don't have poshly paved roads. Lol
Im guessing you've heard of this thing called photoshop? They have that for movies and shows as well. Gives a distorted view of "perfection".
