2023 V4S bike owner here, you were asking for comments, so here I am, laying down some thoughts after 2000km on the bike, all on roads, mostly fast road riding.
It's got more power than I could imagine. Much more than my previous R1, or my RSV4, and from lower RPMs. This was expected, that's why I bought it.
Made perfect sense for me, as I wanted the full superbike experience with a more comfortable riding position.
That said, here's where it gets tricky: upright bars, no wind protection and so much power means you cannot really tap into it's full potential. A perfect example is it has the wings to keep the front down above 150-180kph, but that's where you're starting to have REAL difficulty holding on to the thing. Also, this is where all license-holding hopes evaporate, in case you run into the police. This is a STREETfigher, after all.
Another issue is stability on cornering: on a true sportsbike the clip-ons help you feel the front end, here I have little feeling on very fast corners, even wobbling on imperfect road surfaces. Even if I slide forward to keep the nose down I'm fighting it to keep the line, pulling on the bars (which you're forced to do because of the wind) upsets the chasis even more. Lightweight + upright bars + 208bhp + no wind protection = I miss my RSV4 in those very fast corners.
The bike is a masterpiece of engineering, especially the engine, there's no denying that. Electronics are the best I've ever experienced.
Yet, I'd still like to try the new Aprilia Tuono Factory or the RSV4 Factory, maybe even trading this for one (sidenote: the BMW is just too sterile for me and the KTM SDR too much of a hooligan - tried them both before buying the Duc). Maybe a trackday will change my perception of this bike...I'm planning on doing one soon.
Hope this helps some riders out there who are considering buying this bike.
    Stay safe!

I believe you should have bought Multistrada V4 Sport instead. Maybe even Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. It's pretty close in terms of speed and handling, but with many times more comfort and practicality. And, yes, it has decent wind protection.

I have this same feeling with my 2020 v4s around corners ESPECIALLY if roads are imperfect it can feel cumbersome around turns and harder to hold your line. That being said i love this bike and the challenge of taming it.

I've test ridden Streetfighter V4 back in 2020 when they first came out, including taking it up to it's top speed. I'll probably release the footage later. What really astonished me is the superb handling it has at any speeds, the ease of riding, and especially the unbelievable stability and maneuverability at high speeds, which I never encountered on any other motorcycles before (and I tested a lot of them). So, yeah, Streetfighter V4 is truly AMAZING bike in this sense. But at the same time it's extremely impractical, boring and uncomfortable (due to vibrations) to ride at sensible speeds, fuel thirsty because of the unreasonably high gearing, and very physically painful to ride at high speeds due to aerodynamic pressure pushing my helmet against my face. Therefore, my conclusion on Ducati Streetfighter V4: it is extremely cool and fun bike to take for a test ride for a couple of hours, but it's really not good and pointless bike to own and daily ride.
And if you want a bike with almost the same level of handling, speed, and fun, but at the same time comfortable, practical, versatile, and awesome to ride almost everywhere - get a Multistrada V4 than. But that's for another story.

Have had mine for 4 months...going back. Really lovely bike, but need to keep my license. I know this sounds odd, but it's good fun to wring a bike, you can't with this on the road. Spent a lot of time looking down at the speedo thinking oh sh*t. But the engine is fantastic and the handling is superb. Replacing it with a DesertX. More real world fun. Plus more comfortable if you are taller. Can't compare the two, but it's a better bike for me....and my collection of points 🤣 I would recommend the Multi over the SF too.
