Love it. I fly Blackjack almost daily on MSFS. Would love a walkthrough on autopilot, autothrottle and ILS landings with it. I'm pretty much there with those on the A320Neo but would love to nail it all the CJ Typhoon.
Autopilot since the update is my biggest bugbear - it either climbs and holds where you want of goes through it, sometimes it’ll hold onto a track, sometimes it’ll jolt anywhere but! It’s just really REALLY inconsistent now, even when you replicate the same flight a number of times with the same processes at the same time, different results. So I’d really like some help too!
@@cgaviator Ol tradition! Actually, I wanted to see what I could do with a similar jet, but that has slightly less powerful engines. But the Rafale has an advantage of no dedicated air brake, instead using the controls surfaces in a configuration producing more drag, saving a bit of weight. As air brakes are not used very much, it makes sense to do what they did on the Rafale. New, more powerful engines are possible for the Rafale, but this is for the politicians to decide, and they don't seem keen about it. The video of my flight is on my YT channel.
@@cgaviator The developer has encrypted several files in the Rafale, so it may be impossible to know. What counts, is to be as good as possible with what we have. Like it is in real life.
OK, that was incredibly impressive. Loved that slow down! Not exactly a challenge of the style just shown but I'm still hoping to see you do a two ship formation through the Mach Loop (has to be Hawks with Red Arrows livery). I'm assuming sky dolly or similar will allow you do to this (?)

Great ! There's my new 'beat the clock' fix. Chose good/bad It's all in the pitch rates and G time. I'm going to pick the visual tracking points to do that and lose max energy/time on the rejoin. Or maybe combine it with an ILS intercept at a radar vectored MVA of 300' ?
If you have the Tobii eye tracker, a video showing the eye tracker bubble would be amazing, say, flying the mach loop but more interestingly landing the typhoon. Would be so interesting to see all of the things you are taking in
my time is perfectly 2m17.95s. I even ensured the lurch before stopping the stopwatch. Yes, insanely quick!! Some six seconds quicker than other runs I did in that session. tbh I was just in the zone, superintuition. thank you.
Have you ever noticed how the typhoon ‘lurches up’ when the stick comes back. As to say, if you gradually push the stick forward, it really smoothly drifts down, whereas if you really slowly bring the stick back at the same pace, there’s nothing and then nose up 2-3degrees? Makes flying formation really hard for me. No dead ones set and I’ve tried lite a lot of setups. No change
Hey mate. On a performance climb. They rotate and go up straight alway. American jets seem to do a quick climb like you did, keeping it low, gaining energy then pulling up. I wonder why we don’t do quick climbs in real life as presumably it’s quicker to get to a set altitude ? I know the tornado didn’t have the power 😉😂 but the typhoon is very impressive. Great video mate.
Thanks. And I’m trying to remember from their convex training sortie, I believe it’s only a 60° climb (saying only! 😂). They would gain speed in the climb as opposed to being faster to start where you’d encounter much more form drag. Tonka definitely needed a run up! 😂

Yep, got one, just a cost effective copy, flat steel chassis pre wired with USB IR lights. Gotta use a Sony PlayStation webcam as a receiver. Works fine.
Is this Eurofighter programmed with the carefree handling of the real thing, so if you attempt to depart from controlled flight it'll react accordingly?🤔
@@cgaviator It was Janes Aviation literature that pointed out that the computers onboard the Eurofighter took a great deal of the workload off the pilot letting him concentrate on a dogfight situation by not requiring him to take his eyes of the ball so to speak. The computer would help the pilot not depart from the flight envelope hence the carefree handling characteristics, I think in situations the aircraft alerts the pilot by voice? That's why I was wondering if this was programmed into this simulated Eurofighter. Sorry if it's inaccurate information.
I did my attempt with the Typhoon in 2 minutes 17 seconds and 996 milliseconds. The Typhoon is indeed more powerful than the Rafale: I reached Mach 0.97 in the climb in the Typhoon, versus only Mach 0.88 in the Rafale M. It is interesting to compare the Typhoon and the Rafale. As expected, the Typhoon is more powerful than the Rafale (as in real life), and the dedicated air brake of the Typhoon allows for faster braking. In the dive, I reached Mach 1.51. Just before touchdown, the Typhoon is a bit unstable, so I had to add power for a short while! Video on my YT channel, with a detailed description.
Engines on the Typhoon are 2*60kN (90kN full reheat) vs 2*65kN (105.7kN full reheat) on the F15C so a bit weaker, but not that much. I'm not sure but I think the Typhoon has a slightly better T/W ratio than F15C,
I try the same thing with my F15E on Dcs but, I took more time to reach 30,000 Ft. In teory F15E have 23,770 lbf of thrust each with Ab Vs 20,000 lbf each with AB only for the EFA 2000. Can you try the same with the F15 of Msfs2020..?
I did another attempt with the Typhoon in 2 minutes 14 seconds and 769 milliseconds. I reached Mach 1.04 in the climb in the Typhoon, and in the dive, I reached Mach 1.58. . Just to compare, I tried the F-22: I did 2 minutes 10 seconds 868 milliseconds. I reached Mach 1.05 in the climb in the F-22, and in the dive, I reached Mach 1.55.

I have current and longstanding PB's in Way of the Hunter and theHunter Classic. Aviation RUclipsrs haven't beaten my DCS F16 pb since i did this in July 2022 (from the then F16 update), even real F16 pilots.. at the time Top Gun Maverick was released. it is my PB. if you have enjoyed the challenge then at least that is something raymond.

What mods do you use to get the flight sim to look like that same with the typhoon it looks different to mine.
typhoon is unchanged. i use nvidia filters to get a less red, more blue colouring - perhaps that's it
in your experience, does MFSM have accurate real life physics? or would say dcs is better? purely comparing physics not systems and buttons...
Sorry I missed the comment. DCS is better. MSFS is passable. Most realistic is a tough question. Just Flight Hawk or Vulcan.

It doesn’t depart, so it’s accurate in that sense. I’m not sure of the specifics of ‘carefree’ as you can mishandle even these digital jets 👍🏻

F-15C naked is 25 sec to 40.000 feet. The Eagle has two engines. Typhoon is much lighter and has much smaller engines. But thats impressive.

I try it with a few I think, but it relies on the developers programming of the flight dynamics.
The F15e is heavy as hell ....
