@@cgaviator Ol tradition! Actually, I wanted to see what I could do with a similar jet, but that has slightly less powerful engines. But the Rafale has an advantage of no dedicated air brake, instead using the controls surfaces in a configuration producing more drag, saving a bit of weight. As air brakes are not used very much, it makes sense to do what they did on the Rafale. New, more powerful engines are possible for the Rafale, but this is for the politicians to decide, and they don't seem keen about it. The video of my flight is on my YT channel.

As to say, if you gradually push the stick forward, it really smoothly drifts down, whereas if you really slowly bring the stick back at the same pace, there’s nothing and then nose up 2-3degrees? The Typhoon is indeed more powerful than the Rafale: I reached Mach 0.97 in the climb in the Typhoon, versus only Mach 0.88 in the Rafale M.
It is interesting to compare the Typhoon and the Rafale. As expected, the Typhoon is more powerful than the Rafale (as in real life), and the dedicated air brake of the Typhoon allows for faster braking.

@@raymondgoubet are fuel at 50% minimum; Pilot/Aircraft settings at , not easy raymond. my dear and earnest friend, i have a 2601 Lichess puzzles rating. I have current and longstanding PB's in Way of the Hunter and theHunter Classic. Aviation RUclipsrs haven't beaten my DCS F16 pb since i did this in July 2022 (from the then F16 update), even real F16 pilots.. at the time Top Gun Maverick was released. it is my PB. if you have enjoyed the challenge then at least that is something raymond.

@ke Indeed, I have fuel at 50% minimum; Pilot/Aircraft settings at (never easy), in MSFS, not DCS to be on the same platform. Your claims need proof.

I think it was quite short, shame the typhoon don't have a timer tho

Not sure where the timer is on the typhoon so figured it was easier with a separate one 👍🏻
