I'm a huge fan of Xyris! I've been running a casual list with him for a year and a half now, and more often than not he kills the table with Impact Tremors or Warstorm Surge via repeated wheels. Underrated commander and a really fun way to play Temur that a lot of people won't see coming.
I love turning my Xyris from a 3/5 flying into a 7/7 flying, hexproof, double strike, trample, unblockable (trample and double strike are from the same card). My goal is to keep asking "Who wants cards?" until my opponents want nothing to do with drawing cards.

Gotta include Clout of the Dominus. Gives Xyris Haste, Shroud, and +2/+2 (gives more snakes for combat damage trigger) all for 1 mana. Card is nuts in the deck.
I run this in my Ludevic, Necro Alchemist and Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa deck, which is all about encouraging people to swing at each other with small power creatures to earn card draw. Heavy politics theme; I pillow-fort a bit, draw tons of cards, and tell my opponents that I'll give them cards if they swing that 1/1 evasive creature they have at somebody else. Then I play this card, and everybody wants me to just hit them for 3 damage so they can draw cards. Meanwhile, I'm also drawing cards and creating an army of evasive 1/1s thanks to Sidar Kondo. Throw in a Goblin Bombardment, Rabble Rousing, Mirror Entity or Indulge//Excess at the last second and suddenly they're all dead. Probably my favorite deck to play right now, tbh.
I built my first crazy deck around xyris, my group banned the deck when I buffed him up to a 15/17 with double strike, forced someone to draw 30 cards, drew into a windfall, made everyone draw 30 cards, and made 100 snakes in one turn when all is said and done. I learned a great lesson that day, In order to be a snake farmer, one must be master diplomat
I’m planning to build mine as a bit of a hybrid Wheel & Voltron. Voltron Up Xyris to protect it, deal damage and Draw, then, when I draw into Forced & a Burn Related Enchantment, Go WILD.

I love politics style cards and effects. The problem is that it only works if the other players allow it. My play group doesn't allow it. As in, they will pass on the political benefits in the moment because they know that in the end, my goal is still to win at some point. So while they might get nice benefits now, they think I"m going to benefit the most in the long run. Simply put, everyone in my group plays very selfishly. They treat commander games as though its a 1v1 format. Politic cards and group hug cards become very bad if the table isn't interested in the sharing.
All else being equal you may benefit more, but they should consider how they might use your deal to their benefit in the long run, too. Maybe partnering temporarily will allow for a 2nd place finish instead of a 4th. Maybe it will give them just enough of an advantage they can sneak out a win. That perspective is as short sighted as it is uncreative, on their part.

I miss having a decklist with reasonable upgrades
Combine Chrysalis is a great way to make your sneks fly for only GU, and at a whopping 0.05 is incredibly budget friendly.
I also play xyris, but I've upgraded mine just a bit with forced fruition and a couple odds and ends. I call it my Christmas deck and it slaps.
I never really figured out how to have Forced fruition in a deck in a way that helped me more than my opponents, but I think the day has come ^^

Alpha Status is a fun aura on Xyris that will easily take out someone with commander damage if you are able to get some snakes out

I feel like days undoing is a little more mana efficiency than game plan when you play against a lot of people who don’t like to assist
