Nice interview and very enlightening as usual. For some reason O’Neil Famous didn’t really reach England on cassette back in the day. All the names he mentioned are more familiar to me. I am glad to hear his story and to add another piece to the never ending jigsaw puzzle. Nuff respect.

Everything he said about the record shop on young st, spanish town is very true.
I used to hang out at Carly's Record Shop - Young St,Spn TN, with O'Neil Famous,Hammer de month, Desi, Trooper,Baker and many other artiste and brethrens.
This was the#1 record shop at Spn TN.
Famous was a great d j from way back then.
A humble youth who was never a show off.
He knows real music and what is required, he will do the right thing.
He has put on a a whole lot of weight from then.
Don't even know if he remembered how he looked in the 80's.

Yeah, mi a New Haven man, it's me Richie Pooh, who name him Oniel Famous, him used to practice djaying with a black youth name Dago Anks on that tape . Ask him bout me. Everything him talk bout is true, it's in New Haven him career start. All him say is true n him have a good memory bout all the New Have man him call. H was a very lyrical youth. But is me Richie Pooh give him that name Fi true !! But ask him about the youth wey name Dago Ranks. That youth n him used to dj on tape which laid on the ground. Dago his now deceased. Don't know if he knows as yet. He was d first dj to name Famous, by me. Am proud of him!

A we name Richie Pooh, it's me who name h Oniel Famous from him a dj with a dj name Dago Ranks, they used to dj on a tape which laid on d ground. He called himself Pippa Rittie, n I said what kind a gal name that you a go get famous, you Fi call yourself Oniel Famous. Ask him, we went to his bread basket studio to promote lots of artiste.
