I want to thank you Teach for documenting these legendary artists who played such a pivotal role in the development of dancehall music. This man and others were like Gods to me as a youngster growing up. Mi belly full just listening to him give his story of constant strife and obstacles. I am so happy that I got to witness and was a part of this era even though I was very young. This is the original Banton, I would like to think Buju Banton got his name because of Burro Banton. I remember what great feelings it evoke getting the latest copy of one of these dances,priceless. I am happy future generations will be able to look at documentary footage like this and know the origin of our music. Legendary Burro Banton! This a chick a this a chicken farm,mi sell dem live and mi sell dem pluck. Early B the doctor reminds me of Burro Banton just the way they were both able to put intricate lyrics together,very thought provoking. I wish this man peace,love and longevity. Thanks again Teach,these footage will live on long after you and I are gone. I grew up with all of them so what he said about papasan I've been telling that to the world my uncle bumpy from Spanish town kept if not the most dances in the 80s so I saw it n lived it when the goats got killed i eat the roast seed lol remember walking with my grand father to the sessions in prison oval 😪 the journey rest in heaven my grandparents

Ave that brought back sweet memories of my youthful days. In those days Waltham Park Rd in Kgn 11 was like the entertainment center of Kingston. Dam time mi a peep thru holes in zinc fence. I would love Ja.respect was the order of the day. So much sounds played along that stretch of road, Jordan Place,, Brotherton Ave . Boom wah dis boom wah dat Burru Banton a dads the voice still a buss up wall man nah lef out im diamond socks. Stay strong Banton Jan guide.
I loved the stories with his dad, his dad really tried with him, even when they padlocked him in school so his father could catch him.That was hilarious but profound.
