Cutty is a real one! Humble, talented and intelligent brother. Love the way he articulates his feelings towards those who have done him dirty in the business without sounding too angry and bitter. Although he hasn’t got what he deserves in terms of dunza, look at how healthy and happy the brother looks, pure blessings Jah has showered him with. Legendary artist. Give thanks for the great works Teach❤️
Wow! What an amazing interview. Cutty Ranks is so articulate. Many of today's artist need to take a leave out of his book. So talented, down to earth and knowledgeable. Love this interview so much I watched it twice already and I am sure I will watch it again.
Cutty, don’t think we didn’t know who you were when you were in King Weston since you mentioned Rebel Tone Sound System. I was a Police Officer @Lawrence Tavern Police Station. We used to stop by Rebel Tone whilst on patrol. The owner of the Sound System was working with JUTA then, but we knew who you were .
Love Cutty Ranks, he is and still one of my favorite artist. From the very first time I’ve heard him, I was a fan immediately. You can see that he is taking care of himself, his skin looks so pure and healthy. Love ❤️ and blessings Cutty 🙏🏽
🥂🍾❤💥and much respect to Mr. Cutty! I was a travel agent from 1986-1988 King Street, Downtown Kingston. I knew Cutty as Mr. Phillip Thomas😊he would buy a ticket for Miami for stage show almost every Friday evening. I always loved his enthusiasm, hustle, drive & work ethic. He was such a dependable and true person. What you see is what you get with him. I’m so happy for his success and very proud of Cutty. Blessings & much ❤
Yow teach, dis is a bomber. I'm grinning from ear to ear, I've always loved this artiste. He's a story teller he could certainly write a biography. Very very interesting. Big up teach love it❤

Sitting here watching and listening 👂 to this entire interview, I’ve to say this man intellect is brilliant also higher than most. Like Teach Dem as well not been in proper schooling like that the man still smart indeed 💪💪this man ambitions and determination has brought him great success!!
Such a legendary Artist. It is one thing to be a legend but it’s also another to be a pillar of Reggae Dancehall music culture. Worldwide music, but humble enough to share his life and journey in music. I love the way he talks about the pure joy and love that once was in dancehall and is on its way back. Cutty Ranks story will for sure inspire a world of people in a positive way. Continue to lead out mi Artist and nuff respect. Teach Dem yuh larger than large. Bless
I remember knowing Cutty Ranks when I lived at Orange street Downtown Kingston. His life was really rough, he sometimes slept on an old bed outside without even a blanket, he was definitely a true hustler. I once saw him when he started deejaying and he came to see a couple older ladies that he respected that used to help him out, miss Iris and miss Mavis.. but we called Country Man at the time
Great great Cutty Ranks when I tell you this man tear down dancehall in England on Arrows and Java great great legend big up yourself Teach Dem Cutty ah General from then till now bless up 👊🏾👊🏾
He was deliberately pushed aside by Donovan Germain after dominating 1991 with " bomber " , Lambada with Wonder and the collaboration with Aunty Marcia Griffith with " Half eediot ". He was pushed aside to make way for a little teenage fresh face youth at the time....(Buju Banton) in the new year of 1992. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
@Mister Lexx you know he did an interview some time back where he said Donovan said on a interview "cutty never like when buju come to penthouse" then cutty ranks come on and say Donovan lie he never had any problem with buju ,and he needs to deal with Germain about royalties of his songs ,man so much stuff going on behind the scene we ain't know

Cutty gave Chinese Laundry his first dubplate and I brought him to perform in Trinidad the first time. Cutty is highly rated in Trinidad. I remember going to watch him perform at the Rex in St James. The club was rammed to the brim with people wanting to get in on the outside. I saw Cutty perform in Trinidad a few years ago for carnival, and Cutty calls Laundry, Tony Chow. Seems like they have a long standing friendly and working relationship. Great times growing up and clubbing 😊
