I'm from Nuevo Leon Mexico, and Los Zetas were big over there. I remember being 4 and my abuela saying we had to close her store because the Zetas were coming. You werent allowed to be out after a certain time. I didnt know who they were at that age but as i got older i asked my parents what Zetas were and they expalined to me they were someone you didnt wanna fuck with. At age 6 I came to the U.S and have been here since, I'm 31 now. I dont really remember much about Mexico, I just know stories from what my parents or other family members have told me.

In case anyone is wondering. Cal is Calcium hydroxide which has many uses including cooking and construction. I know it as mason's lime. But prolonged exposure can cause irritation and burns. Great episode, It goes to show so many of young men that find themselves in his shoes come from traumatic childhoods and broken homes.
“Have you ever stabbed anybody ?” 😅 Lmao. This guy response was so candid, he took the words out of my mouth, “when you work for the cartel you cut off limbs, you cut off heads…”, stabbing someone was probably as mundane to him as a running is to us.
people should listen to this man especially for people living a life of leisure, don't put people down you just might not know who your messing with, may god bless his soul!!!
Use logic he’s in a corrupt business with the cartel who is high up if he kills his dad he’s going to prison in Mexico cartel pay off the justice system he ain’t going to be saved by the cartel for killing his dad cartels want you to kill the rivals 😂

One of the best interviews I have seen. I understand how he feels and felt. Growing up in the U.S. working in both worlds and walking in similar paths. If you have never lived in those worlds many will not understand. Not many in the end can we find a way out unless death. And not many can walk out like he did. Only a few that have earned the respect and trust of his peers like he did. Respect to him on my part and I hope he finds his peace one day. I say that because those ghosts never are far behind to remind one.
him: call center is too stressful. ill destress by being an assassin.

I know this sounds ridiculous but regardless of the traumatic tension and psychological effects…a few firefights really put your stress in perspective and you get some huge releases and rides on the razors edge. But its a heavy price on the mind depending on your psych landscape…the first time is like the rollercoaster effect only after if you are standing tall its a holy shit that was insane and you secretly dont wanna admit nothing you ever done gave you adrenaline like that. Sorry trying my best to explain the feeling lol most importantly def not fn recommended
This is my favorite channel Johnny! It's always a gutsy interview leaving you hanging waiting for the shoe to drop. What I dont get is how these guys aren't scared for their lives to speak on their experiences with these organizations. That's gutsy 😳
it took me 7 years to heal and accept the normal norms of society and find myself until I recovered from a very similar life. My wife left me because I'm not a bad boy anymore, people don't respect you, it's very hard to live with and like this hero said, they don't understand that you can end their life and won't even blink just because they didn't show you respect. So respect each other because you don't know who and with what kind of past is standing next to you.
I love Ali I've seen 3 different interviews but his story always amazes me and I learn something new each time! He gives insight into a world we can only imagine! Watch his Mexico tour with Arab the RUclipsr! Amazing
1:18:48 "As soon as I walked in they just kicked me in the balls" I don't know why that's so funny to me that it was the police who did that but it had me laughing out loud hahahaha

@@Javier-pe7ie yes, I know javi. I went to a pretty good school. I don’t need to correct my autocorrect to get a point across. This about you, and being soft. 🤣
I cant believe the guest didn't have a better response to that statement 🙄. Like, what a stupid, simplistic, and narrow minded way to look at life and the people of mexico. And ya, bruh, its the “indigenous” culture and the aztec blood that makes them stronger warriors 🙄
I don’t think it’s Mexico as a whole doesn’t value life as much… it may just appear that way to some as the murders are so common and brutal… I mean it is the cartel killing and they are Mexican…someone would argue but I personally don’t feel the violence is intrinsic..
I met more than a handful of people like this in the States. My father was a drinker and a dedicated one at that. When I was born he stopped drinking. That was 38 years ago. He was the godfather of many men in A.A. and throughout the years I got to know a lot of people who dismembered people and did crazy things here and there. When I say that these men are out there in your local grocery store and Walmart is an understatement. One thing I learned is that anyone can have a past that will give you chills, but respect goes a long way no matter what corner of the earth you're in.
Dude heads chopped off and you ask ''DID HE MAKE THE SHOT "HAHAH😂😂 damn this is savage story and really shows you that GOD has a plan for ALI and he very blessed to come out alive you can tell your humble and very respectful and this is great interview and interesting advice for all cartel life ain't what it seems to look like from spectators
Self reflection and honesty is 2 of the biggest traits a real man can have. Being able to self evaluate and admit your flaws or even admit you're the problem is such a huge strength everyone should strive for. This man is good at that, very honest. In the thumb nail this kid has that death stare, don't be scared of the guy trying to look tuff by mean mugging, fear that blank empty look behind his eyes, that's the scary one. On a different note that border crossing in Mexi-Cali he spoke of I I watched my boy get caught crossing with tons of work, we watched him get pulled into the inspection lane from the hillside 22 years ago and he's still in jail to this day. Fun fact, yay. 😁
This was a very interesting episode. This one hit close to home, because I am also a first-generation Mexican living in California just like Ali. My dad was also the sole provider, my mom was also a stay-at-home mom with very little English skills (who also didn’t know how to drive for a decent chunk of my childhood). Except Ali went through something extremely traumatic that destroyed his home. I’m thankful that my parents were stable. But it was an eye-opener thinking I could’ve very well gone down Ali’s path if something similar happened to me. My family comes from Jalisco, and there is certainly a path that could’ve lead me into the same shoes as Ali’s. I remember you asking Ali why Mexico seems to value life less compared to the US. I don’t think it’s because of religion or cultural ties. It has to do with the socioeconomic factors currently in Mexico. Mexico is still in a transitional period, and there are many folks that are uneducated with no way of improving their family’s situation. Crime compounds on itself, and as more lives are lost as a result of gang violence, more people will join as a result of that trauma. That’s my opinion, at least.
Big shout out to Ali for giving us one of the best interviews we've had on this show. Thank you for watching and please leave us a like and a comment, let's send this ep into outer space🚀🚀

Much respect 🙏 to Ali,.... Enjoyed this interview to the fullest. One of the best ones I've heard in a while 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!!!!!
I’ve seen his interviews on other channels and this one is really good. Very humble person despite the devastation of his past.
One of the best pod cast I've heard in a while Forsure S/O ALI !
For the first time I watched a RUclips video for over an hour non stop. This was a good one.
Great content/information ✊🏾
Fascinating. Well done by letting him tell the story, just gained a subscriber and a fan.
They would need to make a Netflix miniseries about his life since a 2 hour movie would not be long enough to cover everything.
My dad is from chihuahua and I always wanted to go to that state but i looks white as people as say so I doubt I’ll go
What a great yarn. Very rare to find someone telling the truth about living a life like that.
This is the first podcast of this length that i followed from the beginning till the last minute ! Ali Gonzales if ever visit the Netherlands or Spain youre more than welcome !!!
No he’s not
Yes he is
From Ghana 🇬🇭 Africa this is the best life story than any movie or series I’ve ever watched
Bro!!!!! Amazing, Amazing , Amazing...! Such a great video bro.. I love it.. I felt like I watched a movie 😮 movie 🎬
WOW!! 👏 👏 The ending brought everything he started full circle. That was a beautiful conversation to behold.
Nuts this guy was willing to talk without his face blurred. God bless.
He’s living in the U.K. now. He’s safe
It ain't safe on the block
Not even for the cops
Cartels make billions if they really want him they can pay a bunch of guys in london to go shack him pablo escobar killed someone somewhere in europe a country that nobody ever heard in 1980 lolll today they ll find him in 2min
This dude lives in Europe, he's good.
Ha ha I’m Cuban/British it’s great to see this kinda mixture make the world go round. Anyway, Great podcast. We love Ali!
Great interview brother!
What a story Ali has, Can make a movie out of it!!
I’ve used it to clean rust off a pad after poring a driveway
Is Cal also good for killing fleas. My grandma would spread it under the house or in the yard.
“cal" is an ingredient in tamales
Cal is an ingredient in my dick!
@@montieblackeagle7515idk what tamales you been eating
Get the feeling this dude was always made for something better. Very well spoken.
Easily the best interview I've listened to. Man.. what a life story
“Have you ever stabbed anybody ?” 😅
Lmao. This guy response was so candid, he took the words out of my mouth, “when you work for the cartel you cut off limbs, you cut off heads…”, stabbing someone was probably as mundane to him as a running is to us.
Tho was one of the best interviews I’ve seen on RUclips, us Mexicans love you Johnny never stop giving us this type of content 💯🇲🇽🙏🏽
people should listen to this man especially for people living a life of leisure, don't put people down you just might not know who your messing with, may god bless his soul!!!
We should all listen to each other to a point... don't be nieve it takes a cold blooded murderer being interviewed for you to realize that?
You have no problem killing people for money, but your dad is still alive, what a man
Right. Hell do it for a dollar but not when it’s his own flesh and blood that has been assaulted. Pretty telling.
Use logic he’s in a corrupt business with the cartel who is high up if he kills his dad he’s going to prison in Mexico cartel pay off the justice system he ain’t going to be saved by the cartel for killing his dad cartels want you to kill the rivals 😂
He said he would've killed his father if he was older.
It’s different he lives I America in Mexico he can get away with it
Just for reference, the prison's name is Atlacholoaya. For those who had a hard time writing it down, look it up.
I lived in Mexico with my 9-year-old son, and I loved it. It was amazing! Mexico is beautiful, the people are amazing, and it's not all bad like every other place in the world! Mexicans in Mexico are some of the kindest people I've ever encountered! ❤
“Did he make the shot” was wild😂
what prison and when was it?
He’s not a hero.
One of the best interviews on 'The Connect' in recent memory. What a wild, intense, eye opening story. Respect to Ali Gonzalez.
U crazy ? U respecting a murderer? An evil person
Fire interview 🔥🔥🔥
Truly the most insane podcast interview I’ve heard on RUclips or any platform.
Not seeing any of the earlier hate comments about Johnny interrupting his guest, fire interview!!!
he did interrupt, and long winded at times
You’re joking right? He kept throwing his words in and trying to show how much he really knows, which isn’t much at all😂
@ keep hatin brotha
Ali, i was so sad hearing of your childhood...that had to be so hard. Thanks for sharing your story.
I love Ali I've seen 3 different interviews but his story always amazes me and I learn something new each time! He gives insight into a world we can only imagine! Watch his Mexico tour with Arab the RUclipsr! Amazing
1:18:48 "As soon as I walked in they just kicked me in the balls"
I don't know why that's so funny to me that it was the police who did that but it had me laughing out loud hahahaha
I’m definitely sharing this with my friends!
Johnny always wants to know more than the guests….. then he wants to throw in the white supremacy jokes, then he wants to try and school the guy about stabbing…. 🙄
Your soft
You’re not your. Your is meant to show possession .
@@Javier-pe7ie yes, I know javi. I went to a pretty good school. I don’t need to correct my autocorrect to get a point across. This about you, and being soft. 🤣
I just mainlined a honey pack …. I won’t be soft for long…..
Host says Mexico doesn’t value life as much as the US or UK. That’s wrong. I’d love to talk to him more to help him understand why that’s so wrong.
GREAT INTERVIEW 👍 BRO
This is first interview I've seen that a killer doesn't glorify himself, this shows a real killer
Fire interview
What a great video. Im from mexicali and have fam in guerrero. What a strong testimony
And then you woke up...
Cool story bro 😂😂😂😂
@BrayanCarmona-kr7vt woke up to your Mom 🤣🫵🏽. Sorry not sorry but you set yourself up for it
Amazing podcast man !
Seeing how far Johny came in two years is inspiring 💯
Shout out to ali, def in the top of episodes yet. Crazy
factssss. very true
Yet this guys murdered countless people and is being celebrated seems right.
@@lraclol still has more integrity than you
@bangajuice how because you don't like my opinion based on facts ?
They started to get dark humor with the basketball joke! 💀💀💀💀💀

Let's face it, homie missed the shot for just one head...
Great interview and one of your best guest
Great podcast this lads 🤛
Excellent video - Thanks!
I couldn’t stop watching this episode…Tex/Mex
