    Have you ever tried to learn the V Grip? How was that journey for you and how long did it take for you to master?

      I'm past my mid thirties and I'm currently learning and practicing this grip. All these years, I've been playing casually with the tip of my "V" on the wrong side. I'll definitely borrow your marking tips when I teach my daughter in a few years.

      I can also confirm that learning to slice with the chop and punch is pretty challenging. I’m still working on using the V-grip for the overhead clear, but I haven’t been able to apply it in an actual game yet. I can only manage it in practice when someone sets me up with an easy shot.
      I also have an issue where the birdie doesn’t fly straight as I’d expect-it tends to veer off course to the same side every time.

    Is there ever a legitimate reason to use a hammer grip?

    • @badminton4kids
      @badminton4kids  4 дня назад

      Yes definitely. It's mainly use to drive the shuttle flat. But a proper hammer grip is quite different to a beginner hammer grip. I will do a video on that
