Yes I agree. The battles are so dry since everyone just uses the same Pokémon unlike past tournaments when everyone had their own unique teams that weren’t predictable at all.
@garrettstuder2783 that's the most fun part of comp battles to me. Being able to build a team that can handle any situation. It takes no skill to build a team to counter the one or two win cons that we see all the time now.
@garrettstuder2783 I help organize small little casual tournaments at some local game shops in my town. Keep it super casual, but still serious enough to make it exciting and everyone seems to have a great time.

This is really getting little random. I mean when will Nintendo make a brand creative Pokemon game? They always have to repeat the same plot and get new other versions of Team Rocket including Gym Leaders that I really don't like at all. I want Pokemon to come up with something new and creative while I enjoyed with the movie Detective Pikachu! I want to see a new story where Pokemon can talk and battle without being a rpg.

@@SURESH0T9292, a key observer knows there is a difference in the builds. Each players strategy and counters are different. It’s a competition between competitive players, not entertainment for people to watch.
@viviorko3345 that's such a narrow-minded way of looking at it. A great Trainer would be able to do both. When I used to compete in small tourneys and competitions, it was to give the people what they came for. same as when I played sports in school.
So pokemon can you please add the light type please that's all I ask of you please it can be good of a pokemon game everyone would get excited and you everyone will buy the game that's it's in and you will get more money but if you don't like the light type try beast type but at the end of the day. close combat would have lowered his defense meaning the extreme speed does more damage next turn, so no he would not survive it
