This is one of the most strict performances I've heard of this piece. Fast and steady, with very little dynamic variations and only where written, carefully measured and interestingly detached. I'm used to a more Satie-sque style, in which the rhythmic structure is there like a blueprint, but time can be manipulated and distorted. Like the difference between learning a speech by heart and reading it from the page without adding anything. Maybe it is meant to be read. That's also very Satie-sque (I'm thinking of Socrate) and, by extension, Cagean. Thanks for the beautiful performance.
