Antonio Puig Quorum should definitely be on this list. I remember wearing my pops back it Junior High school. I was definitely an Alpha in my class back then
@@TheOlzeeit's a heavy hitter chypre. Bold, resinous, leathery plus lavender. A touch of animalic notes. The older formulations have crazy projection/longevity, but even today's formulation of Antaeus is still beast mode.
Ive got 2 of them. I still wear Fahrenheit edt mostly around my house these days but it gets alot of use. I have polo green which i actually hate. Ive had the same bottle for YEARS lol. Just too green for me, sometimes I use it for an air freshener but then im like holy s*** and im instantly reminded why i hate it 😂
How is kouros or lagerfeld or halston or xeryus not on this list? Eternity? Brut? Stetson? Anteus? Some of your commenters are confused about alpha and masculine. Also....Polo green Cosmair edition was the powerhouse. Real oak moss. These newer mixes are nasty.
I have been hooked on your channel for way too long I need to get back to my girls but I can’t seem to leave … lol love your humor and learning so much .. ❤
What would be your top 3 for a fragrance WITHOUT Bergmont or Patchouli? I'm struggling to find one for my husband and I can't stand the smell of those. It seems like everything has one or both of them. I LOVE Drakkar Noir BTW. Thanks!
I wear Drakkar Noir and Paco Pour Homme as my daily depending on mood and season. I have a collection of 15 fragrances but I know I can always fall back on those two..
12:04 Dior Homme Sport is one of the fragrances that I enjoy wearing the most. I didn't expect it to be here on this list of scents either however, I'm glad that it is 😅. Thank you for this video.😊😊
The Drakkar Noir is the king of alpha male perfumes for me too. Family guy, Drake, Michael Scott... just the sheer influence that this fragrance has had in the years when it was famous speaks volumes about its greatness.
Can't disagree with you on the Noir as I've never tried it but there is one thing I know for sure... if those people you listed ever came face to face with real men they would soil themselves
@@learnmathwithme3864 I meant the perfume is an alpha male scent. The guys I’ve mentioned have nothing to do with being alpha males. I just mentioned the shows to say that it’s a really well known scent Lol
Months ago when you switched from old desktop setting to whole new decoration I was not quite sure what was happening, now I can see you definitely needed an actual Stage for an amazing one-man show :) nice job man. Cheers
Gucci Guilty absolute is one of my favourites. Bought a 150ml for around 35 off notino years ago and immediately ordered 2 more when i smelt it . 450ml for 105 isn't too bad imo haha
I've been wearing Aramis Devin for a little while now. It is like Aramis, but with pine needles in it. In other words, it is like a mixture of Aramis and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, yet different than both of these. It is very masculine to me. Also, when I think of the 20th Century "man's man" I think of Ernest Hemingway. I recently found out that his signature scent was "America One 31" by Krigler. I'm curious if that is as masculine as my perception of him is.
In year 2006 my Aunt gave gift of Dior Fahrenheit to my mom when I wasn't in US. I use to wear it all times. That time I thought that this is women fragrance bcz Aunt gave to my mom. I was like in maybe 19. I did like it lot.
Jacomo de Jacomo! Do a review on it when you get a chance! A fragrance from 80s very masculine, warm, tobacco addictive fragrance! Used to wear it in late 90s when I was in high school. A scent that always remembered until now! I purchased it recently and absolutely love wearing it in cold weather! Please check this one out! Very affordable as well.
To be fair in 84 we said Drakkar even though we were referring to Drakkar Noir. And at the time, i actually did not know there was a plain Drakkar lol.
Went out last night to our downtown new years eve block party. I wore Dior Fahrenheit. I counted 8 compliments. 6 from women and 2 from these Italian men wearing expensive suits and smoked cigars.
I just purchased a large bottle of the most recent formulation of Polo... and it's trash. I'm still buying bottles of the first two formulations, BTW, thankfully with some success. Many of that era's bangers are now neutered beyond recognition by IFRA restrictions. Polo (Green), my favorite of all time, is perhaps the best (most egregious) example.
Has to be Brut - the essence of man . Has probably outsold all the other fragrances here put together . It’s cheap , it’s still around and it still smells great
I remember in the late '80s me and some of the other guys from the neighborhood used to hang out and ride on our bikes and play Nintendo and all that stuff. One day we all doused ourselves in one kid's mom's boyfriend's bottle of Furyo. At the time we had no notion of how beastly the stuff was. Just a bunch of 12-year-old boys reeking of the most animalic fragrance ever. Rediscovered it again years later and it took me back all those decades. Man, that stuff is like a punch in the face compared to what they make nowadays.
Hello from North Wales, I'm 55 & my dad is 85 & when he runs out of his number 1 choice Patrick Irish fragrance, he always rings me & says can I have the use of your Polo Green till my new Patrick arrives.
Even before seeing that THE FRAGRANCE was missing from the shelf, you just knew it was going to be featured. Edit: I was a bit surprised to see Kouros missing from the list.
For me, without a doubt… Dior Eau Sauvage, and especially Dior Fahrenheit EDT. Then again, I am almost as old as dirt. Eau Sauvage, when you feel like being a little dressed up and Fahrenheit EDT for those scruffy unshaven, leather jacket, bad boy moments. For real though, Fahrenheit, 82 blue my face off when I first tried it, and wore it… Could easily be the greatest scent I’ve ever smelled… Holy Hannah! Not for the faint of heart, though and probably for an older dude who still rocking it
I currently have five on this list. Creed Green Irish Tweed, Farenheit, Polo Green , Drakkar Nior and the one left off Aramis. I love Aramis, my wife loves Aramis. It’s the quintessential masculine man’s man fragrance. I’ll never not have it, unlike you Ash.
I think PDM Haltane is a alpha male / boss of bosses type of fragrance. Walk into the room and you sence this deep smoky, woody, oud hit.👌👌 like a expensive cigar .
Polo Green, Drakkar Noir, Aramis, Grey Flannel, Obsession, Eternity, all fragrances I wore in Junior High and High School. Kouros was pretty popular back then as well. And YES, I still have my original bottle of the first release of Fahrenheit and it still smells like gasoline.
King Kouros (YSL), Drakkar Noir and and probably any other 80s Powerhouse can be considered the Alpha Male fragrance i would say. Nice video! :)
I think more dudes in the 80's wore Drakkar Noir than ADG, Eros, and Sauvage combined now.
Dior Fahrenheit Edt is my all time favorite. I have a 50ml 1985, 100ml 1995, another 100ml 2005, and the current formulation. I also love the Parfum.
Pacco rabanne Pour Homme is a Masterpiece!
You captured my Sauvage Elixir comment delivery and emotion perfectly 👌. Thanks for all you do.
!!!

Agreed 100%. Was my fragrance of choice for awhile and is in my weekly rotation
yup , been rocking Quorum as a dailey dumb reach ,
Chanel platinum egoist needs to be here
Agree😊
More like Chanel Antaeus

Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Chanel Antaeus also, so masculine ❤
Gucci Guilty Absolute was my vote as well, what an outstanding scent. Absolutely love it.
Just to be fair Ash, Creed isn’t the only house to use ghost perfumers and pretend it’s from them 😂
I like drakkar Intense. Got it for cheap. Anything with leather too. Burberry brit Rhythm was a banger.
I didn't think I'd like the intense because I'm not a fan of the original but I do like it. It's kinda generic but likable
@chrisblanchard1663 oddly enough I never tried the original or the noir.
For me it would always be Brut classic by Fabrage.
Truly an Essence of Man.
Drakkar Noir ftw
The background music is so relaxing that i can watch an hour video without skipping
I have been hooked on your channel for way too long I need to get back to my girls but I can’t seem to leave … lol love your humor and learning so much .. ❤

Viktor & Rolf SpiceBomb and John Varvatos Rebel Rider are Amazing too! Migler6 Alien man, and Bvlgari Man Wood Essence should be in there somewhere

Why put his name is quotations?
Hi Ash, love the list with few more to add Bentley FM Intense and Lalique ANExtreme
This community has great taste, so I’m not surprised at all with this list. 🤘
My two would be Bulgari Black Orient and TM Pure Malt
Wheres Antaeus? Love that stuff. Classic chypre. I feel like a boss wearing it.

Drakkar Noir for the win!
BENTLEY FOR MEN INTENSE....After 6 months of purchase I finally started enjoying it.
Has no one ever smelled Jovan Musk? Gravity? English Leather? Brut?😢

Ghost Perfumer is a great book. Very informative
Is there a Middle Eastern fragrance that smells like Nautica voyage, but has a better performance and bigger scent bubble
Van Cleef & Arpels Tsar, old but gold
I can't think of anything more masculine than Kouros
Azzaro Pour Homme sits firmly in the masculinity hall of fame
fahrenheit is my office cologne in Minnesota . I can get away with it in cold weather but in July ITS CAUSES PROBLEM
Make problems. Disregard solutions.

Please 🙏 Bring ENVY back and thanks for this video. 💪👍
Wish they hadn’t heavily reformulated Polo and Fahrenheit. Any clones of the original 1980s versions?
how can you forget YSL pour homme the red label it's yellowing off coloring
As someone who really likes Toyboy, yeah I agree only a true alpha male can pull this off 😂💪🏾
Pierre Cardin, Obsession, The first Calvin Klein cologne.
Polo green used to have oak moss in it before that was restricted not sure if the re added that
Drakkar Noir should have been either the first mention or the last!
Well, when i wear my Hai Karate ..women flock to me and men fear me....total Alpha
Gucci guilty absolute is awesome!
Creed Royal oud is another manly fragrance
Honorable Mentions: Jacques Bogart One Man Show, YSL Kuoros, Chanel Anteaus, Chopard Black Incense Malaki
My vote goes to Kouros, and Aramis 2nd
WHAT ?l
No KOUROS !!

Fahrenheit is the only fragrance with a note of leather that I can take/like
Aramis Havana, Furyo and Obsession for men are alpha male frags too

YES KOUROS !!!
I'm surprised Dark Rebel didn't make it to the list!
Ralph luaren hired same perfumer that did pine sole for house cleaning to do polo green.
YSL Rive Gauche, most manly smell. Best smelling, is Fahrenheit.
PDM Carlise should be on the list 🔥

Original bottle of Fahrenheit still has a punch? So the whole "fragrances expire in 3-4 years" is fact or fiction?
Total fiction. I still have bottles from years ago that are still great.
I still have a bottle of Obsession from the mid 80's and it is as great today as it was then!! A dark, smoky woman enticer!!!@@Peter95111
