Cool paint! Thanks for the video 😎👍
Nice, thanks for everything Bill! They look great, already planning on checking them out.
Createx has their video on them now.. and they talked about the new high gloss UVLS i got a pre sample here but waiting on the final stuff to show that. They are working really hard up there right now getting a lot of new things to market :)
I am trying to get some pieces together just to use these flairs on now. I am probably the odd ball but I absolutely love them with a satin clear. :)
Nice video Bill. Very informative and the colors look great. Thanks.
Thanks Dan!
Thanks for video.
Your welcome!
Great video bill dry cool colors, I am really curious about the other colors wicked and illustrations ones as well. Cannot wait to see them
I plan on doing a spray out of all the new colors in the illustration line, but ill post those as pics on FB and Insta likely no sense im making a whole video about them.... well maybe
@@TheAIRspace yeah you will😁
@@coolkids2064 lol
Love the lemon lime
It’s a good one. My favorite is the fuscia gold. Which I wasn’t expecting. Unfortunately I didn’t capture how good some of them look.
Thanks!
Of course the only color I have been searching through the internet for. The name was covered by the sample and never shown before quickly cutting away 😂
Fuschia gold perhaps?
I'm liking those colors, think I need to add a few on my list I have a few projects that are going to use them.... Been looking forward to see how they perform and they are 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣%🆒😎😎👍
They are awesome!
I like Createx paints so I'll try these out, my favorite colors are blue magenta and lemon lime
im really really loving the fuschia gold.. and in satin Im planning on doing a satin skull in that color :)
But they are all fabulous!
on another note.. it was the blue magenta I thought id like the most until I saw them all in person :)
Great vid Bill. Would love to see these over their silver sealer. Also what would you suggest starting air pressure be for a .7 Grex fan cap?
I was running my 290 at about 30 and had to turn it up a little higher maybe to 35 If you haven't sprayed pearls id try there and choke up the fluid a little.
You do want it to wet out a little. These really are not hard to keep oriented the right direction but its good practice. I tend to with pearls, spray a medium wet coat and then back up and spray a drop coat all one direction.
Any pearl will look funny if you start getting tiger striping
Forgot to mention the silver sealer will not allow these to show up well. they are a pearl so they tend to do great on black and really dark colors.. there are some uses with dark greens or blues.. but they will be sublte. Chris Arpin got their video out yesterday and he showed the one color that will show up reasonably on white. And you will easily see its not the look you would be going for I doubt :)
May use these guys for a Panoz Esperante GTR-1 road car project I want to do. Nice colors.
as long as you clear it with 2k clearcoat sure. A lot of automotive paints are waterbased now. They will definitely show a lot more of the color flip on larger surfaces like vehicles.
Bill you messed. From Now on you will be my createx specialist Was that the ps270 from creos? Great Job!! the colors look awesome. Thanks Bud!
Its the 290 by GSI creos and theres a link in my description :)
Im not sure im a specialist, but I do use a TON of createx paints :)
@@TheAIRspace thanks Bud. I have the ps290 and I love my mini spraygun🤘🏽
What size tip do you spray pearls with? I sprayed with a .5 and was getting clogging. I had to bump up to a .8 to spray hot rod sparkle white.
noone ever talks about this subject, but nozzle size is only one factor needle taper matters as well.
I keep a badger omni on hand for that stuff, or move to my fan pattern .5 ps290 or even a spray gun on larger things.
The badger omni being a .5 has a much steeper taper and handles thick items better than say an iwata bcs or a converted .5 cs eclipse. And the ps290 has a very blunt neele like a TH and that will handle even thicker paints. Despite the nozzle being only .5 the needle taper allows larger items past and through the nozzle. I've been considering making a video on that topic, however it would probably be viewed by very few people.. But its still on my list of subjects to talk about.
Hotrod sparkle is createx biggest flake. They don't recommend spraying the hotrod sparkle thorough a .5mm as it clogs like you said. Cosmic sparkle is better suited for the .5
Hey Bill, can’t find you on Patreon. Are you still there? If so can you send a link?
No. I felt I was too busy to devote the time to a patron channel where people were paying to view it.
On the other hand I felt I’d rather offer as much free content as I possibly can. Does that limit potential earnings , well yeah. But I felt it was the right move 😃
Are the colors a drastic change with different basecoats?
most colorshifts are tradtionally sprayed over black.. over white it is very subtle. and an effect you can mostly achieve with regular pearls. Depending on the colorshift it can be really cool over some other colors or just not very good at all. Of course with anything custom expirimenting and trying things is part of the fun :) a lot of tests are failures, but once in a while you manage to do something really extra awesome. :)
@@TheAIRspace I do alot of fishing lures now and I have a couple color shift acrylics. But those ones you showed were amazing and would look great on lures..in the sun and in the water really will bring out the colors..is there a better airbrush for pearls? I use an eclipse. 35 ..is the .5 better for pearls?
@@erichadden77 yes you would have lots less trouble using a .5 for pearls. Less clogging which could lead to less spitting.. and pearls really need to lay uniformly across a surface.
Could use some of those Speed Shapes too...
buy em in bulk :)
@@TheAIRspace 🤔😂😉
What clear coat did you use
This stuff here in this particular case. I believe I mentioned it in the video. but this is the stuff I used on this one.
@@TheAIRspace hey thanks I just watched your video on the clear coat. Keep up the good videos and I definitely going to subscribe to your channel
They look so much like DNA paint colours
Id say they are hitting way different markets. Being DNA is solvent and a very expensive paint. These are waterbourne and available in as small as 2 oz bottles. That puts them in a very unique market.
Most colorshifts regardless of company, will share some similarities. There are only so many types of colorshifting pearls out there.
Thanks!
Man, those colors are sexy!
absolutely better in person :)
