Yeah, I think these lyrics are def up there describing/thinking of Tool. Free-flowing musically and totally thought out. It's weird but works! From Tool's perspective they were having an internal crisis of sorts. Trying to figure out who they were, what music they wanted to do, etc. They came up with this album. In this track, I hear that they're willing to explore and embrace the unknown, like a child with no preconceived notions. 🤞🏽Vicarious!
You've just picked up Tool's monumental one.. I'd say the best, taking composition and lyrics into consideration. In regards to colours - I believe there could be two meanings behind it: 1) as we are newborns we can see only two colours, black and white. As soon as we grow we are able to recognize more colours - red and yellow are first to come; 2) lateral thinking, meaning that as we experienced more and more, and being selfconsious, we could see other aspects of many things than we do now.

The colors are how humans start to see the world as babies. First we only see black and white (shadow and light), the first colors we recognize are red and yellow, the other come in later.
Dont worry about the comments. The fun of a reaction video is to hear and see your reactions to it to relive the feeling we got the first time we heard it, no drug hits like tool the first time and I think the tool fans watching reactions are chasing that feeling. If you're into the intellectual stuff too try to stay with albums 10,000 Days and Lateralus. It's fun to listen to early Tool as well. A bit more angsty but still great. Bottom would be a great early song

What I like about this is if you know about the math before listening to the song, you might be counting the syllables of the lyrics to make sure it does follow the sequence precisely. Then the chorus of the song makes fun of you for doing that very same thing.
