Petterson has to develop 2 big ones in front of the Vancouver media. Don't kid yourself the fans are patient. The media has messed up a lot of great players that went somewhere else and produced great results

OEL was willing to come to Vancouver. Didn't he say he would ONLY come to Vancouver?

Getting tired of media guys blaming the Canucks’ fans for everything. Fuck off. And yes, Vancouver and Boston were the only teams he wanted to go to.

Canucks fans cost the Canucks lots of free agent opportunities. The players know how bad it is, so toxic they prefer to sign with other teams only.

With great pay comes great responsibility . . . come on Petterson, man up already! Yes, it can be hard for you if Canucks fans do not feel you are earning your "franchise player" pay, but you also need to remember that we live in the real world where our jobs, and subsequent means to support our families, would be terminated if we did not earn ours.
Canuck fans are passionate and know hockey. They know when a player is just going through the motions and when they are truly playing with passion and compete for each other and the Team. Take a player like JT Miller for example. Yes, you can be in the doghouse for a bit, but fans will truly forgive and revere you if you play with the passion and compete the Logo on the sweater- and by default the fans and city it represents- demand. The player who pouts is putting himself before and above the team. The player who plays with passion and compete puts his teammates, the team, and the fans who support them before and above themself.

OEL played like garbage. He didn't even try. F that guy OEL. The fans gave him every chance. No one booed the piss out of him.

IIRC, he had knee and foot surgeries just prior and during his tenure with the Canucks. Hard to be a smooth skating defenseman when you're having trouble skating properly.
Not a bad move for the Canucks to pick up a top-pairing defenseman at the time... just he was damaged goods when he arrived. Thanks Benning! /s

Exactly. But blame the fans again. Typical. OEL was garbage here. John Shannon is so full of shit. Terrible guest.

John has got to have some of the worst takes out of your hockey guests.

I disagree. I think he’s always carefully balanced in his approach and given his role in the sport I think it’s a smart approach. John is well versed and experienced in hockey and hockey broadcasting.

What does when the awards show is on have to do with the fact that the shows are completely unwatchable? What a joke of a take. Would be nice if guests got called out by hosts for saying absolute brain dead shit. What a joke.

Canucks fans don’t even realize how bad they are. They’re stuck in their toxic bubble.

Just a reminder that when he says Vancouver fans are the most demanding that’s a polite way of saying “insane”
