It keeps bang-on time (+/- 1 sec) and can take anything I throw at it. It’s nice to have a piece you can throw on and know you can just forget about it and live your life. Excellent watch that will never leave my collection
Quick update: I'm very lucky to now own two new Tudor BB58s on the bracelet. Like-for-like think of the Blue BB58, purchased in early Nov 21, as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. But after watching some of your helpful videos, plus many others, I finally succumbed and I have just purchased a new BB58 Black version in late Dec 21 from my AD at retail - there is no shortage of them in the UK these days. I do, and still love the blue, it's magnificent, but I have also grown to adore the warmer, more vintage appeal that the black version exudes, not to mention the ever-so-slightly darker shade of steel Tudor has cleverly used to add further differentiation. Maybe owning two identically-made watches with the exact same specs is crazy, but they are executed quite differently. Hey it's Christmas after all !
I think they've got that subdued blue just perfectly. Its a great addition to their range. I still prefer the black and rose-gold of the original, but this new colour will certainly enhance the populatory of the range. Tudor are really hitting heavy at the moment.
@@Michael-4 I'm not seeing any female privelage and you do realize she talked about this watch a few days ago in another video? Another thing to consider that this was one of the worst kept secrets of a watch releases of 2020!
Honestly I thought I'd prefer the new colour, but seeing them side by side; it's the original for me. Now I just need a date complication (not happening).
My wife has become a Tudor fan. I think she would look great with this Tudor. Great review. The wrist shot sold me that my wife can pull off the Tudor “Blue”Bay. 👍🏼
I am liking this a lot more than I expected to. I had an ETA Black Bay blue, but in this case, the blue bezel and blue dial reminds me of the old snowflake blue Tudor Submariner, and it’s really quite pretty. Beautiful shade of blue and they kept it no-date, thank goodness. I still don’t like the rivet bracelet, but it’s still the one to get-then grab the NATO as an extra because that looks great too.
picked one up this morning and love it. it integrates well with my collection, which features predominantly black watches. if this was my only watch I would have had the original black 58.
I called my local AD a few minutes after they openend to check availability and was advised by the store manager (family friend) that they were being delivered today! She advised me that I'll get first one of available so I'll have to go and see it. My only gripes about the watch are the snow flake hands and the fake rivets 🤮
Just tried this one on and it’s just much better in real life. I wanted to buy but the AD in Frankfurt would not even take an order. I have the BB58 Black and love it and I would have this one in a heartbeat. Not a vintage vibe, just a very crisp, modern anytime watch.
I really like this new version. Sure, blue is a safe color and is kinda overplayed, but it's done well here, has some historical precedent, and the watch feels modern and original thanks to the absence of fauxtina.
Question TO ANYONE, I can't find in the Tudor web , are the Hours markers and hands Gold? are they platted? are they steel with BB58 Black on coloured Rose gold? in general which materials are used on those Markers .
Great review...solidified my recent purchase of this watch a couple of weeks ago. I must admit and sadly, it has taken daily wrist time over my blue Omega Seamaster 300 diver.
Good looking Tudor. This could be my very first Tudor I'm fact. I was more into Rolex, Omega, Breitling and some micro brands, but why not, it seems to be ticking my boxes.
Stopping by the AD tomorrow!!!! Instant buy for me. i didn't love the gild look. But this! people are gonna either hate it or love it. I love it! Love the channel by the way Jenni.
I lusted after the bb58 for a while but never bought one until Tudor released the bb gmt then I pull the trigger and bought my first Tudor. At least it adds functionality of a GMT in my collection. At under £3k it was a giveaway bargain with exceptional movement, date and a gmt, however it is crudely bulky watch that lacks the design finesse of Rolex. However the bb58 is a classic beauty with no complication, I may pick up the bb58 to complete my Tudor collection. The bb58 blue is not as elegant as the black, perhaps it early days. Nice review!
I had one on My wrist last week, but then with a beautiful blue leather strap. However the leather strap seemed way to big for my 16,5 cm wrist. Are there different leather strap sizes? The color is beautiful, it’s stylish and not screaming for attention.
If Mercedes sold one of their best selling models only in black for years and then all of a sudden released a blue one… They would have a launch and a big deal would be made.
Wow nice quick review!! I've got an ETA BBN so don't need another BB. It's amazing how the feel of the watch changes between the two 58s. The blue looks so much more cold and clinical and the original is so warm in comparison.
I got my tudor black bay 41 with black bazel in July 2018. (I have a bigger wrist and fifty-eight doesn't feel ok somehow) And I now, 2 years later, I still can't stop wearing it, and I am considering selling my rolex submariner, coz I just wear the Tudor more. My humble opinion is that this is an amazing watch
I very recently bought the Black Bay 58 Navy Blue to compliment a range of predominantly black-dialled watches in my collection that include the classic Rolex Submariner Date 16610 that I've owned for 19 yrs. The Tudor is a super, very well-made luxury timepiece and I appreciate its rather understated blue dial and bezel compared to the 'bling-blue' ceramic of my Omega Seamaster 300. Like-for-like think of the Blue 58 as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. The blue really pops in daylight or in well-lit rooms and a pleasure to wear. Although not quite up there with the Rolex in the absolute quality stakes - but why should it be when barely 35% of the retail price - go to an quality AD and try one on as @ Nov 2021 there is no shortage. In-house COSC certified movement, 70 hrs power reserve.... you won't be disappointed.
Congratulations on being quick on the draw to review this new watch Jenni. The other reviewers must be green with envy :) The watch will undoubtedly sell well, though personally, I would have loved seeing a new scaled-down version of the Pelagos, even if that is a pipe dream at the moment :)
What an absolute homerun! Been holding off buying the original BB58 as I anticipated Tudor would make this move eventually. Visited and called every AD in my vicinity. Great review but nowhere on the website does it say there is any white gold in this watch. I’ve heard they’re gilded silver as well. I don’t know where these rumors come from
Love the blue. I hope to pick it up today. Told my AD I wanted this as soon as the leaks hit a few days ago. I have to agree with Jenni, I would be happy with any BB58. I already have the 41mm ETA black so was hoping for color variations in the 58. Hopefully the Red next

Thank you for the excellent review, Jenni. To my taste, I would be more tempted by the regular Black Bay blue. I'd put up with the thickness for larger diameter and black dial.
Great review of a fantastic watch, I picked mine up yesterday and I think the value for money is incredible, not sure if you noticed but the warranty cards are now different as they now no longer have customer names, I have a feeling you may be wrong about no new offerings by Rolex this year!
Firstly well done for getting the skinny on this watch and the video online so quickly. Secondly I had an original BB58 and sold it after a couple of weeks and I won't be buying this one either. I wish they released a burgundy version instead. I have small wrists but I fell in love with the burgundy version of the bigger original black bay model.
This Blue Bay 58 looks like a true classic like the older Tudor Sub Blue Dials with snowflake hands. And those sell now for a premium. Wouldn't mind picking up one.

Thanks for showing us first :). I had the bb58 for a few months but sold it. Nice watch but it just didn't click with me. I didnt like something about it when I wore it but couldn't put my finger on it. Didnt love it I guess.
I have the original black gold accent version which in my opinion looks better than this plain blue version . The older version has softer tones and the red pip at 12 o’clock adds a nice splash of color.
I don‘t see this as a replacement of the original. It‘s just another colourway in the steel lineup. The vintage Submariner homage is really nice, but I found the gold on the indexes and hands to be very shiny in person
Jenni is such a babe! Easy on the eyes. Adorable personality and German accent. Great taste in watches. Very knowledgeable. Professional presentation and editing. The best in the business!
Was hoping to see this one and already it's up! Awesome video as always Jenni. :D Had the opportunity to purchase this one at the AD today, but still decided to wait for the vintage version :)
I've got the original gilded 58 and the more I wear it, the more I can see it being with me for a long time. This blue 58 is a big leap for Tudor to test out what people like out there. Got to give them credit for being "ballsy". That being said, not my cupa. If they released a bronze version of this with the same dimensions (not the 41mm), I'd get on it in a heartbeat.
You think Tudor releasing their most famous model of watch, exactly the same except in the most sought after color for sports watches (blue) is ballsy?

Tudor BB58 in black+ceramic non-gloss bezel (like the pelagos) +date+ adjustable clasp+ 5year warranty (already there)=perfect watch
Great work Jenni !
Love the new contemporary look, great first review team
This is an absolute stunner. I was looking to get an Rolex OP but now I'm not sure what to do...
Op is better
First review on youtube I think, great vid Jenni. I love the blue on this. So tempted to put the word in at my AD...
This Blue Bay 58 looks like a true classic like the older Tudor Sub Blue Dials with snowflake hands. And those sell now for a premium. Wouldn't mind picking up one.
Don't ever count on a watch like this appreciating over time. Just enjoy the depreciating asset for what it is.
@@ams914 , I am not the type that buys a watch for investment purposes, or thinks about future value. If I like the watch, I'll get it. All things considered, no one would have believed years ago the Tudor Subs would increase in value and now look at them? However, it's a bonus when if it does go up in price in the future but it does not influence my decision when it comes to buying a watch.

Great watch. NO lume shot. Would have been great to see comparison of new and old BB 58 lume. I ordered Sinn U50 teg on bracelet. Better steel and case super tuff.
Jenni, how does one shop on your website in English?
Hi,
Would love to see a comparison/vs video between this and the Pelagos blue.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks for showing us first :).
I had the bb58 for a few months but sold it. Nice watch but it just didn't click with me. I didnt like something about it when I wore it but couldn't put my finger on it. Didnt love it I guess.
Fantastic review Jenni - congratulations on getting your hands on one and being first with a video👍
I love the blue 😊
I’m liking the BLUE BAY 58 😍
love the music at the end of the vid...that's a really nice touch... whos the author of that music?
Tudor are gonna be tough to beat now. Their ascension into Rolex's previous market position now seems assured. Great work.
It‘s really beautiful but i wish the bezel is Ceramic 😔 isnt the alu bezel scratch Magnet?
Very nice watch. But do I see dust on the secondshand?
I have the original black gold accent version which in my opinion looks better than this plain blue version . The older version has softer tones and the red pip at 12 o’clock adds a nice splash of color.
I don‘t see this as a replacement of the original. It‘s just another colourway in the steel lineup. The vintage Submariner homage is really nice, but I found the gold on the indexes and hands to be very shiny in person
Great review! What lenses do you use for the B-roll shots?
Great video Jenni! Really love this release!
What do you mean with the vintage version?
@@clementmartin1593 sorry for the confusion, not referring to a new model, but the original BB58
Great honest review!....love the Tudor Black in blue...
