The scariest Vegas story I heard was someone winning a jackpot on a slot machine and the casino refused to pay due to a “machine malfunction”

Ummm, that last story is a pretty common one. DON’T do hard drugs around strangers in a setting like that! There’s always always always going to be predators around. If you want to party, please be safe, smart and responsible!

I can’t convince everyone as some random RUclips commenter to just not do drugs at all. But perhaps I can convince some people to be safer.

As a Vegas local I can tell you to never ever stray from your group unless you’re in a hotel room. Doesn’t matter who you are, male or female. This city is fun but far too many people are there to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists.

The enjoyment of festivals really depends on who you go with. Your friends can make or break the experience. The third story, their friends failed them. They gave her drugs she wasn't familiar with, took her to an unfamiliar environment and didn't look out.

Absolutely. Come together, stay together, leave together- especially girls but this is true for everyone regardless of gender. Her friends failed her big time. Things could have turned out much worse. Especially at a huge festival in Vegas that is known for attracting predators.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and one weekend when I was 29 my husband and I decided to have a staycation at ballys and we also stayed on the 17th floor. I knew about the fire but thought nothing of it. I could not for the life of me sleep. Just as I would almost fall asleep, I'd get the feeling that I couldn't breathe and I would have several panic attacks. I've never had issues like that before or since. We left early that morning and have never been back. I love your videos keep them coming!!

Last story: if you're going to do drugs at a festival, NEVER lose track of your friends! If so, plan to meet at a certain area/stage/hydration station if you guys get separated. I'm happy this uber driver was helpful and kicked out that creepy guy and that the girl is okay.

Girl in story three, good on you for keeping your wits about you despite being intoxicated. I’ve had a guy try to pick me up at a bar because I had a lot of beer on the table. But I knew I could take it.
That losing wallet story is one of my biggest fears when considering travelling.
It's why I make sure to wear pants that are loose enough to move freely but tight enough against me that, if something moves in the pockets, I'll notice instantly.
I wouldn't have been able to keep track how many times I padded my pants down regularly during my last trip.

The part that astounds me about story number three is the text messages from the guy who attempted to possibly kidnap her. The last one “ honestly fuck you for making a big scene for the Uber driver, making me look like a r*pist”.
Who is he to talk?! He tried getting her to a hotel, when she started freaking out he said he was her boyfriend, clear indication that he had very dubious intentions.
He didn't want to own his sh*t. He knew what he is and what he was going to do. But by saying that he's soothing his own ego. He would have SA'd her and still would have sent such a text, instead, it'd have said, "Honestly, f*ck you for crying and fighting like that, making me look like a r*pist" after SAing her. That's what predators do.
He's a predator but doesn't want to own it. Most of them don't.
He was really talking to himself. He KNEW what he was gonna do, but he would have lied to himself about it later (a la “she wanted me”). So, when she realized the danger and treated him like the predator he was, he couldn’t keep up the delusion that he’s a nice guy. So, instead, he tried to reset with gaslighting.
I found the 3rd story very suspicious. Either the creepy guy followed the girls closely to learn Jess’s name or the friends somehow set the girl up. In my city a group of people went to prison for doing that. They planned for the women to chose a victim befriend and drug them then leave them alone, then the men of the group would have their way with the victim.
He was likely near them as they were partying, had been watching them to see who would break off, and heard them talking, calling each other by their names. At least that's what I thought.
the guy in the third one saying that she made it seem like he was a r*pist is stupid. like dude, you were going to take her somewhere 15 miles away when you knew she was clearly not in the right state of mind. either that, you were gonna k*ll her or both 😐 the simple fact that you even brought it up is obvious that you were planning on doing it. ladies, if you’re gonna do something you’ve never done, it’s safer to try it at home. props to jess for going back to the air bnb to stay with her though

Idk if I got a killer/kidnapper vibe from the last one given the text messages. Seemed more like a sexual predator (although a lot of the time there is major overlap between the two) looking to take advantage of her stoned state and rape her in a hotel room and escaping before she sobers up.

The front desk wasn't alarmed when the thief pretending to be the guest asked what room number he was in? Like the guest wouldn't know what room he's in?
Eh, some people are bad with numbers. I always used to forget my own room number back when I could afford vacations. The bigger thing is that they had this guy's wallet. He mentions he wouldn't be able to get into the casinos without it, so it definitely absolutely 100% had his PHOTO ID in it and this matrioshka brain still gave it to some rando.

For being working in a Hotel atfrontdesk for 3,5 years now, you have no idea of how many people don't know or remember what room they are staying in, and we only have 67 rooms😆😆

The first story reminds me of an incident that happened at the hotel I used to work at. There was a woman staying in the city for "business" and her husband showed up and said he was there to surprise his wife. For whatever reason the attendant helping him gave him a key to the room without confirming with the lady first. She was out and came back to the room later on with another guy and walked in to her husband sitting there. Needless to say, we had a huge legality risk and she probably could've sued if she wanted.
Sounds like me when I first started working in customer service. Thankfully through the years I've grown some skin and knowledge to always contact the person they're going to see. Even if they tell me it's a surprise I tell them that I still need to contact them.
You can't sue someone because you get caught cheating.

Imagine if he were to attack him or her. Or if she was already in an abusive relationship and was trying to get away from a violent partner.

I feel like I should say something- you don’t “trip” on MDMA, you “roll.” Tripping is for classic psychedelics like LSD or psychedelic mushrooms.
Also if someone is trying a drug for the first time or in general is inexperienced with it, please don’t leave them alone especially if they’re a woman. Unless they are in a safe spot being watched by event security (which they don’t care if you’re high- there’s literally medics on site for people who get too high), do not leave inexperienced drug users alone. That’s how they accidentally jump off balconies or get kidnapped.

Story 3- Sorry for what happened to that young woman, but stories like that are exactly why it's never a good idea to do hard drugs you have no experience with before heading out. Not that it's a good idea to do them anyway, but if you've never done them before then try them out at home first. Way too many people don't feel anything so they assume they didn't take enough, when it's usually that the drugs haven't had enough time to take effect.
Better yet, just stay away from molly and ecstasy altogether!

I've lived in Vegas the majority of my life, I'm now 57.
Vegas has changed so much, I miss the way it was in the 70's-90's.
I served drinks for 30 years, it was a blast, I never new what to expect. Tip wise & shenanigans, it was an experience I wouldn't change for anything!
I've also had co-workers that died under unfortunate circumstances.
I was a senior when the MGM burned I happened to stay home from school that day.
It is a day I will never forget!!!

I just went to Las Vegas. My scary story: short-staffed hotels, pools closing at 4 PM and 115 degree heat.

What time of year did you go? I was in Vegas two weeks ago and the weather was very pleasant, wasn’t more than low 80s. There was one day after it rained where it was mid 60s.
Im curious what hotel was low staff? I went a lot over the summer and seemed like a lot of them were overstaffed lol but I do agree weather sucked

I am a local and it was all over the news where the Bally’s hotel was the original MGM and when the fire happened multiple people died and some of them died in their sleep. I had a friend who worked their and said that at night you really experience spooky stuff.
It's kinda funny that Mr. Nightmare posts a lot of horror stories at October and I say to myself "welp that's the reason it's called Mr Nightmare and October is it's favorite month".

Mr. Nightmare should make longer videos like these. I like longer versions. His narrations are out of the world great. It literally gives me chills. I used to fall asleep listening to 30 minutes of old mr nightmare videos. I even loved it when llama arts and mr nightmare collaborated. Anyways this is just a small request from a fan. My husband and I literally just went to Vegas this past spring as part of our honeymoon and I’m glad that the most disturbing thing there was the smelly cab that took us back to the hotel lol 😂 I have been watching his videos for 8 years and I will watch them for many more! I lived in Vegas and I remember Freemont St. or the "old strip".
You were fine near the main strip but if you wondered down a side street it was scary. You didn't have to go far like a quarter mile.

As a hotel worker myself, the first one is a complete fail on the hotel's part. You should ALWAYS ask for photo ID (or to verify info about themselves and their stay if they locked it in their room) before giving a guest a room key or even telling them their room number. That is such a common scam. I can't believe a huge hotel in Vegas didn't do that. That guy could have been killed if the imposter wanted to not get caught badly enough.

I have a Las Vegas horror story: I used to live there many, many years ago as a young child. The street my family and I lived on used to be the second to last one in that section of the city. As in, there was our street, another behind it, and behind that was nothing but hundreds of miles of empty desert. But now that same street in that same neighborhood is almost dead center in the middle of the city: the horror of suburban sprawl at its worst.

If you are attending EDC please make sure you and your friends have a designated meet spot for if you get separated. DO NOT make the meet up spot a moving attraction for that tends to cause a lot of confusion because it's never in the same spot. If you are under the influence and start to freak out PLEASE try you best to make it to a medical tent. They are extremely kind and will never get you in trouble no matter what drug you took they just wanna make sure you stay safe. They will let you sleep off the high. 0:30 why do people actually unpack their bags at a hotel? The safest and cleanest place you can keep your belongings is in your suitcase, and zipped up and locked when you’re not in your room. As clean as hotels try to be, it is easy as f**k to get bedbugs, cockroaches, etc., and then take them home with you.
Man, I had to stay in Seattle for seven months while my brother was having heart transplant and I never left anything out. I had my toiletries at the sink, but I never put my stuff in the drawers.
