My list would be 1. Whitney Houston 2. Celine Dion 3. Freddie Mercury 4. Barbara Streisand 5. Aretha 6. Kelly Clarkson 7. Brendon Urie 8. Lady Gaga 9. Bruno Mars 10. Bon Jovi. I personally feel that a "belt" is supposed to sound "Big" rather than high or cutting.
Shirley Bassey has the biggest belt of them all. Yet you didn't put her.
@@Sttephy30 shirley has great big fat full LIVE belts up to c#5, maybe up to d5. From that point on, there are much better belters

*Any* Top 10 Belters of All time list that leaves off Maynard James Keenan is a fail. There are many others also. This should've been titled 'Top 10 of Pop' music. Freddy Mercury should be #1-of course. It's the reason I watched till the end

May I provide a few of the Old School male Rock belters? You younger folks will be very impressed. John Farnham, Lou Gramm, Steve Walsh, Jimi Jamison, Bobby Kimball, Burton Cummings, Steve Marriott, Jackie Wilson, Mark Farner, Brad Delp, Steve Winwood. I'm sure I left out others. They are all consummate belters with great range and rich tone quality.

Look up the meaning of belting, most of the singers you mentioned are not belters, but sing high notes well through mixed voice or head voice but not actually through belting
Sooooo…. “belting” does not have to be chest voice…? I must have gotten the definition all wrong until just now….
No, I don't think you do. Belting has nothing to do with power in the technical sense. He seems to be using a pop culture definition. Think "narcissist", vs. clinical narcissism. As a technique, belting is bringing your chest voice up into the range where you would usually be using your head voice. I wouldn't describe half of this list as belting in the technical sense.

Is Dimash Kudaibergen technically better than Freddie Mercury?
To be honest: Yes! Freddie and he is probably the most iconic singer ever, and really deserves it.
Freddie is extremely iconic, which is well-deserved, and was reaaally great, but in Dimash’s case… Dimash does not “only” have a better technique, but also a much higher skill level (probably the highest in the world), a much bigger range (probably the biggest in the world) and more versatility. And that’s also how vocal pedagogues qualify him.
Dimash, however, is considered the gold standard in singing these days. And with technically better I do not only mean that he has practically no technical flaws: he is also even much more talented than Freddie. See, Freddie could never sing Dimash songs, because they are too difficult to sing for pretty much everyone, however, Dimash can easily sing Queen songs.
Take Show Must Go On. Dimash was a 22 year old boy back then and only had 2 days to learn, re-arrange and rehearse the song and could not even really rehearse it because he had a cold. His English was absolutely awful back then, and he couldn’t even speak English back then.
He immensely raised the difficulty level, versatility and range of the song by going both lower and much higher than Freddie on the studio recording because the song was obviously too easy for him. And despite having a cold and didn’t really having the time and possibility to learn and rehearse it, he nailed it technicall flawlessly.
Freddie style and stage presence was so engaging....very entertaining. Dimash sure has a huge range..yet boring. Its individual....just find Dimash lacking in X-factor he may suit stage musical.
Freedy is an icon. That why he always won. But i think dimash is by far better technically.

All good singers but none of them compare to singer Dimash ,his version of the song SOS was undoubtedly the best belting I've ever heard ,so do yourself a favor and watch him perform SOS ,was aired on a Chinese music singing competition...believe me after you've heard him,you'll look at these so called top 10 list of yours with a different opinion..
