The chrome wheels makes the truck look so much better. those black ones are neat but there was too much black with them
Weld a d ring to the top of the housing and it will be easyer to install and pull the rear end with a cherry picker or over head crane and take 2 long bolts that thread in and cut the heads off for alignment pins.

Trans jack with a differential adapter works wonders. Saves the breath
Weld 3/8th auto hauler hooks to both sides of 5th wheel slider plate to get around D.O.T. to limit axel drop when pulling.

Funny enough, my company manufactures seals for the rear diffs on Diamler (Detroit Diesel) Trucks. I was just visiting their plant in Detroit yesterday..
Rear end is shrapnel... not surprising. You aught to haul some stuff with that truck as well so you can say "We Pull and Work this Truck"

Air bag the front end of the tractor to help from breaking the axle. Maybe some fat front tires for cushion also.
I know Drag Racing and truck/tractor pulling is different but similar, by way of putting horsepower to the ground. An old friend in drag racing told me many many years ago, told me that welding spider gears together is more dangerous than running a spool. The heat from welding changes the molecular bonds of the metal, making it weaker. Always use a spool over welding. See if you can find 52k rears, they should hold up to your power. But then, you have the issues of breaking U-Joints, untill you replace them with much stronger ones.
Since you asked for comments, Business Expense should be left alone, so that it DOESN'T look like a road truck. It's cool as hell no matter what you do, but it's a spectacle that should look like something different. Can you please explain in a pulling video about how the scoring is done for each class?
Bruce, if you can find 52k rears you should be bulletproof no matter how much power you throw at it
No they are not, those are standard european stuff. Needs hub reduction.
52k rears just have thicker housings. Need to switch from 190 to 590 series differential. ANY axle hop will trash the differential/axle.
In Dana, you can go up to D70-590P, hell for stout, but bad wheel hop, well, it will live, how long, who knows??? Even used it's an expensive experiment!
The 590 is a stronger series diff, but is it strong enough.
On your next set of "rears" weld a lifting loop on the diff housings so "removing carnage" to make it easier
The truck looked really great when you got it all stealth.... Now its starting to look like a work truck.

long bolts with head cut off in rear end housing.slid chunk on . that centers it slide it in.allways works for me .

Weld a 14"×14" flat plate to a floor Jack then weld two pcs of 4" angle iron to flat plate hold rear down with ratchet strap

Put a aluminum walking beam suspension in your truck. Both axles will have the same load
If I was you Bruce, in my opinion I would name the pulling tractor the "MAD TRATTER DADDY"

Call there bluff. Name it “Momma’s Money”. Hahaha.
Don’t don’t don’t weld it. Get a diff locker. Commercial vehicles stay locked on there locker unit and then disengage when you turn the diff lock off. There is no slip on them. That will let your diff last longer.

The black rims were way sicker then the polished ones.
A Bruce use your engine hoist for that rear differential. Makes life a lot easier

Bruce I'll tell you a trick that coal haulers and heavy haulers do is weld a lifting lug or ring on top of the 3rd members that way you have a place to hook your come along to to lift the chunk in and out easier if your gonna be taking them in and out a lot hope this tip might help you out
Next time you do that make you some 6 inch line up bolted with the heads cut off

I could be wrong but to my diesel mechanic ears I can hear that engine choofing under the exhaust noise, that puff right before it spools, not convinced it’s all lope, exhaust valve is my guess
I’m thinking you should have welded that rear end. Just thinking tight like that your just going to build heat in it. Be better with at least the front welded and the back open. Or be using spools instead of carriers. Less rotating mass then. Do love what your doing. Best of luck this weekend, can’t wait to see how you do.
