A few months ago my significant other packed her bags and left. She took our son with her and moved back in with her mom. I loved her with every ounce of me but we were high school sweethearts and ultimately grew apart. I held myself together and helped her to the car while making arrangements about how we were going to co-parent. I watched her drive away and stepped inside where I sat in the floor numb for what felt like hours. I opened spotify and played some music as a separated the rest of her clothes from mine. While I was doing that this song played for the first time and I felt every word. Thank you for a beautiful song that was able to say the exact things I was felling but didnt know how to say for myself.

The reason I gave my life to music is so that I may be of service to those who are hurting. So that others who feel heartbreak know they aren’t alone. @@steveglasford that means alot! I've written music for years and I know exactly what you mean. The situation has improved tremendously and although there are still rough days the good ones seem to come more frequently now. I don't listen to this song with hurt in my heart anymore but I do reflect everytime I hear it. These days, this song reminds me of how dark of a place I was in and how worthwhile it was to climb out of that hole. I believe that is evidence enough that you have written a fantastic tune! I am literally able to listen to and connect with this song every time even though I am in different stages of my life!
Man I still cannot listen to this song without balling my eyes out. I lost my best friend to suicide 2 years ago as of last Sunday. This song has gotten me through so much since the demo was released. I can't thank you enough for this release. This song really means the world to me.

i connect with this hard. my best friend was forced to move to kansas and i pretty much knew id never see him again. he was like my brother and helped me get through tough times
Losing a connection like that is very difficult. I've felt that disconnect before and it's hard to deal with. Stay true to who you are and more connections will be made. I appreciate you taking time to listen and I hope it helped in some way!
