      Hiya - just strolling by at the moment to leave a comment to see if you by chance heard about the Bluefin tuna on Orcas Island just found. World ocean currents are no joke -- absolutely we technically should have way more sharks here by now with climate change all affecting of various oceans-seas.
      I follow SeaDoc Society and they just posted on YT that a BLUEFIN tuna was found dead with video.
      Be back soon to watch--leaving a comment and like to push that infamous YT algo !!

      It was epic. The biggest perk of RUclips is being able to go back and revisit those moments. I forgot a lot of those clips until I saw them again. It's crazy how life comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Thank god for video cameras.

    I grew up on the Puget Sound outside Seattle in The 70's and 80's. I love your videos of remote British Columbia. They remind me of what it was like in the 70's on The Hood Canal and Bremerton.
    The Pacific North West is some of God's most Majestic work. Being in it enjoying its abundance and glory is so humbling.

    The bird at 21:00 doing the funky chicken was a Killdeer doing a broken wing display, where they pretend to be injured a make a big scene to get potential predators to follow them away from their nest. Their eggs are super camoflouged and laid directly on the ground but next time you see that, if you take the time to look around you may find the nest

    • @PNWSamson
      @PNWSamson  Год назад

      Wow crazy! I appreciate the insight. I would never have guessed. I feel bad though, I can only assume it thought I was a threat. I'm happy I didn't crush any eggs.

      Hey! That's awesome, enjoy the island. I have an educational playlist on my channel which covers a lot of various topics about diving, spearfising and equipment. As for spots, your best bet is to research the habitat of the fish you're looking to target. Use google maps and navionics to find areas of interest. Cross reference each new spot with dive closures and rockfish conservation areas. Honestly, exploring new areas and finding a good fishing spot on your own is the most rewarding part.
